TopTips_Ladbrokes

IT was a win, lose and a draw from three Monday tips with the “draw” being the Super Single.

I advised Limerick and when they went 2-0 up the bet could have been covered easily. I chose to do 0.2pts on the draw at 10-1 and in the end I was lucky with that as it ended 3-3.

At 2-0 I actually wrote a limerick about Limerick but I was only going to post it if they won – although in the end my profit was 0.1pt or a quid!

My both to score double landed thanks to games at Nurnberg and Barcelona but the top treble was beaten by Chievo's failure to score against Salernitana in Coppa Italia.

We now have a hectic Tuesday with Champions League matches, English league games and Petrofac Training Cup clashes.

Man United return to European's elite tournament with a play-off clash against Bruges and while they've stuttered to two 1-0 wins this season Louis van Gaal's men should take care of the Belgians who don't have the same quality. United should win to nil and that pays 11-10 at McBookie and Ladbrokes.

I can see United winning something like 2-0 and under 2.5 goals should be considered at 5-4 with 888sport – and I'm on that as one of my Super Singles. It's time Wayne Rooney stamped his authority on the big stage with the opening goal at 10-3 at William Hill.

Tie of the night sees Lazio entertain Bayer Leverkusen and the Germans look better prepared. I'll be on them to qualify at 5-6 with Paddy Power while tonight Bayer draw no bet looks the shout at 21-20.

I've seen tips for BATE and Partizan Belgrade which makes life confusing but I don't see the Serbs losing while Sporting Lisbon should use home advantage to edge out CSKA Moscow.

It's not comparing like for like but the Old Trafford faithful must wish their side were as prolific as the Fifers who have notched 22 goals in their four outings.

Anyone who gambled on Dunfermline winning 7-1 at the weekend at odds of up to 500-1 won't be able to resist Forfar 1, Pars 8 tonight but it won't come in at 400-1 with Ladbrokes.

Forfar also have a 100 per cent record this season and best bet here could be over 2.5 goals at 3-4 with betway. Dunfermline will tempt punters at over evens but have beaten the Station Park side just once in eight meetings and this should be a close one.

While I'm not a big fan of Petrofac Training Cup betting most teams will play close to full-strength side and you have to fancy Dumbarton at Queen's Park after back-to-back wins against Hibs and St Mirren, on-form Raith at Stenny and QoS at home to a Livingston side they beat away at the weekend. The treble pays 4-1 at McBookie.

In England I'm tempted by my title tips Middlesbrough at 2-1 with McBookie at Derby and in League One I like Burton at battered Blackpool so much that's also a Super Single.

However, I agree with our new tipster Greg that Middlesbrough not to lose could be the best option. So take them on an English treble with hot home side Hartlepool against Newport and Tony Mowbray's Coventry who can back up Saturday's 4-0 win at Millwall by beating Crewe at home.

There are simply to many games to study them all properly but hopefully we'll make a profit on the night. I've suggested tips worth seven points and may add some later but going out for the day as it's unusually sunny in Scotland.

TREBLE PAYS JUST OVER EVENS AT 1.3/1 **NAP**

DERBY VS MIDDLEBROUGH -MIDDLESBROUGH DRAW NO BET 11/10 **NB**

I like Middlesbrough for the straight win tomorrow as they have made the better start to the season and Derby still look unsettled if Im honest. Middlesbrough have picked up where the left off last season albeit with a stalemate at Preston first game of the season. They have had two excellent back to back results scoring 6 in their last 2 games, putting 3 past Oldham and Bolton and have made a strong start to their campaign. I fancy them to win tomorrow as they have good h2h against derby winning the last 3 meets and have made the better start to the season.

Middlesbrough win pays 2/1 but Im advising them on the DNB option as I dont think they will lose this game.

Middlesbrough draw no bet at 10/11 represents excellent value with b365.

Swansea Over 1.5 Team Goals that I and Wato posted for Saturday @ 7/5 is now best @ 13/10. Hopefully Gary Monk watched MNF and will be focusing on taking Kaboul out of his depths once more (unless Dick doesn’t do it himself) and leave him on the bench.

Fairly self explained if you check form of the teams. All being backed for the win and I’m happy they can at least net one each. Coventry should get a couple as they’ve got out traps early and loanee Adam Armstrong from Newcastle has 4 goals in 2 games. _______________________________________________________________

My Tuesday treble I’m going for..

    Man utd 2+ goals 2/5
    Middlesbrough to score 2/5
    Preston to score 1/3

    @2.61 (skybet) £150 stake

Treble is a mixture of tips from the comments that have been posted ..

As mr F posted man utd should have to much for the Belgians and can also see a 2-0 score line or more to utd..

Double chance middlesbourgh at 8/15 looks safer as I don’t think derby will win.. but I’ve gone for them to just score a goal 2/5 I can see them continuing their good form and putting at least one past a derby side that looks out of form..furthermore they have a good record against derby winning last 3 games..

Unders look likely in this game while newly promoted Preston take on a struggling Rotherham team looking to get their first point..
Rotherham been beaten 4-1 and 2-1 so far this season and I expect Preston to score at least one goal against a team that’s shipped 6 goals so far. 2-0 to Preston with another clean sheet..

Good luck to everyone on their Tuesday bets..nite

Funny you say that Mr F. Just seen LVG has signed El Bakhtaoui from Dunfermline for two pints and a packet of crisps :) Hope the SS comes in. Just for a bit of differential though if you were thinking under 2.5. United to win 1-0, 2-0 or 2-1 is 6/4 @ Skybet and I think that is the most likely outcome unless we suddenly start pumping in the goals.

    Morning gents

Despite the plethora of matches today nothing has really jumped out, mainly because it’s only the week 3 of fixtures! What I will say is there are a number of attractive aways ( Derby, Portsmouth, Exeter ) will be a night of small stakes for me

For those backing Middlesborugh, they have scored in 14 consecutive visits to Derby, a agree with others that 8/15 double chance or Boro to score at 2/5 are worth adding to a line

    Crawley v Portsmouth

These clubs look as if they will be going in opposite directions this season! My adopted second team Portsmouth have finally hit the ground running and have been terrific, 3 wins from 3 and have knocked out championship Derby! Confidance will be high and after securing a fine 2-1 win down at Plymouth, Cooks men will fancy their chances against a Crawley side who rebuilding after last years relegation from league 1! I’m Taking Pompey to continue their good start

Back Portsmouth over 1.5 team goals 1/1

Two matches that I like for goals tonight

    Dag&Red v Exeter – over 2.5 match goals 21/20
    Plymouth v Carlisle – over 2.5 match goals 21/20

I’ve not had a proper look yet but this is one that sticks out to me early on. Both teams have played three games so far this season (two league and one cup) and all have gone over 2.5. BTTS has come up all but twice in the clubs’ 18 previous meetings, and it’s only failed to come up once in the last 16.

Love the look of the Pompey bet Greg been to both home games including the win over Derby, the fans are back to their best and the squad is looking good to match it! A lot of talent in the team and players fighting for a start!

Gary Roberts has been brilliant in both starts, Tubbs not quite hit form yet but he is back at Crawley tonight where his career begun! I feel he will score and will be backing him at 5/4.

Another player I like the look of is our full back Ben Davies, he used to be a winger and has one hell of a shot on him, we works on set peices a lot! His odds are 10/3

    • nathan ufton 9 years ago

Derby were quite poor against pompey, hendrick couldn’t keep hold of the ball if it was superglued to his boots, but that game was one that neither team wanted to go into extra time so it literally was sh*t or bust.

Derby signed Ben Davies from Notts county under Nigel Clough. Clough used him as a left sided midfielder which is his preferred position, he was encouraged to cut inside and cross. He never really amounted to much when he signed for Derby and I don’t think I saw him have a single good game. He was quite expensive too for a Derby team that had little to spend, if memory serves me right he cost Derby around £350k. He was labelled as a dead ball specialist. Sadly when he put on a Derby shirt, most of his freekicks tended to hit the wall. Many fans viewed him as a ” Luxury ” player to a team that could compete without his input – ie a free-roaming extra man. He could run with the ball and deliver a cracking cross but sadly Derby needed more from a midfielder so he followed Nigel Clough to Sheff Utd – much like half a dozen of Derby’s former players ( it seems like we are a feeder club for them ). His stats whilst playing for Notts County merited his price tag, that level of football ( ie league 2 – 1 )is about where I think he is at.
I watched him down that right touchline and he seemed very much at home, very creative and like most of our former players, they always seem to want to stick one on us – grudge-like to prove a point.
He is a good player, but in the Derby team, he was in the wrong team to suit his game, that’s why he never showed his potential for us.

Love the lower league fixtures in midweek and with my last full day in Greece I’ve had plenty of time to go through the fixtures.

The league that’s caught my eye is League two with York hosting Yeovil.

York really shouldn’t have lost against Hartlepool in their last game and manager Russ Wilcox has insisted his side are improving every game and could of been three of four up in the first half.

The opposition – Yeovil are really struggling and have only 15 players to choose from for tonight’s game. Manager Paul Sturrock has said he doesn’t know his best team as he hasn’t seen many of them yet. I couldn’t believe it when I read this –

” Our midfield is decimated, we’ve got [Wes] Fogden and that’s about it,” the Yeovil boss continued.

“I’ll have to come up with some weird and wonderful ideas.

“At this point I still don’t know what my best team is because I haven’t seen many of them.”
    (westerngazette)

Very worrying for Yeovil and when I read this article along with others I can’t help but go for a home win. You never know Yeovil could come away with a result as the squad the manager has to choose from will be youthful and many players playing out of position to prove their quality. However it doesn’t bode well and surely York look good for the win.

    My selection for tonight –

    York win @ 1/1 (BetVictor)

Don’t know if anyone has highlighted it on here yet but James Tavernier is 6/1 anytime scorer @ Coral tomorrow night v Ayr Utd. Hills are 21/10 and Ladbrokes are 11/4… He’ll no doubt have a few chances to score and is playing more like a right winger rather than a right back at the moment.,,

TAVERNIER TO SCORE V AYR 6/1 @ CORAL

Bingo, it’s a great price for sure – I have an absolute cracker for tomorrow Rangers related and will post it tonight.

Green Archers opponents have forfeited the game so unsure if it will be rescheduled. Looks like they have been awarded a 3-0 score line though so assume they progress to next round.

    Karelia away record is P2 L2 F4 A7

For the past few days I have sat back and not bet a penny. In the middle of moving house so lack of time to research and getting that winning treble ups starting to piss me off

Since last season I have been trying my damndest to get a BTTS and win treble up. What happens? One game always ends 2-0 with a red card to the team I need to score.

I should stick the treble on and also red cards!

  60. Mr H 9 years ago

Good spot Tony…Voltes were my biggest fancy out of the 2…here’s hoping PSG don’t forfeit this game

    Hi guys

One to watch today is Phillipines UFL Cup at 1.15PM on the in play goals.

JP Voltes won their last game 9-0, and recently beat Agila 8-0.

Their opponents Pasargad FC are pretty poor and have lost most of their recent games, one of which they lost 2-6 to Team Socceroo in May.

Team Socceroo are the team that JP Voltes beat 9-0 just last week to put it in perspective.

So I expect JP Voltes to be winning this game by a comfortable scoreline.

Bet365 are only offering O2.5mgs for poor odds, but I will be keeping an eye on this one on the ‘in play’ and will be staking considerably on the overs goals market after each goal (hopefully) goes in

    • nathan ufton 9 years ago

socceroo’s are a pitiful team who could probably be beaten by any under 8’s team

  68. gil 9 years ago

Hi guys….I wouldn’t risk with MU. Even at the age of Sir Alex they were not so reliable in the beginning of CL. I wouldn’t risk even with 1.5!!!!
Bate Borisov and Basel are very certain!

  69. nathan ufton 9 years ago

Whilst I’d love to disagree with your middlesborough to beat Derby, they beat us home and away last season with Bamford being at the heart of their 2 nil ( I tipped him to score against us and mentioned he likes to fall over in the box ).

Derby’s last game we struggled to get going for about 20 mins and then we started to find our feet. The Charlton goal was against the run of play and the Chris Martin goal – which was due came in for a 1-1.
Derby have strengthened in all areas but have 2 key midfielders out. Shackell at the back instills confidence and Thorne is showing us already just how much we needed him last year.

Middlesborough surprised me, I thought they would be top 2 last season. For me, this is a huge huge game for both teams and although tough to call, its a game that Derby will not want to lose.
Middlesborough do not have Bamford who I felt had an axe to grind with Derby and although they have added to their numbers, I feel this will be a much tighter affair.
I expect BTTS to deliver. That’s my choice bet.

    • Mr Fixit 9 years ago

nathan, I haven’t yet put Middlesbrough up and I always respect your opinion on Derby games. Mulling over some things just now – simply too many games to study them all properly though.

Some local knowledge. As a Newport county fan. Newport are away to Hartlepool. Back Hartlepool to win. Newport are a young team, not even close to their best yet. I’m not sure there close to being good enough for league 2. Period.

I can’t believe Hartlepool are 21/20. This is a solid bet. They should be odds on.

Anyone fancy Dunfermline to win 8-1??

Last 4 games have been 4-1, 5-1, 6-1, 7-1 in that order. Surely there’s a pattern emerging! Haha!!

Going to waste a quid on it if I can find that score line anywhere!

    • Mr Fixit 9 years ago

Joet1987, I can tell you right now Dunfermline won’t win 8-1.
On Saturday I thought it could have been 7-1 and was gutted I didn’t it.
Forfar haven’t conceded a single goal this season – they’re not about to let in 8.

  84. Mr H 9 years ago

For the guys that see goal bets I’ve seen a list of 267 leagues world wide in order of average goals per match….

    • Mr Fixit 9 years ago

Mr H, it’s interesting no doubt but again they’re also a tipping side and unless they promote us we don’t see why we should promote them.
I’d be happy if you wanted to list some of the countries we should be watching but don’t put up links. Stats are stats as they say.

    Mr f I can’t resist it 11 to 8 bet 365 this morning on dunfermline…
I going big I can’t ignore this price I know Forfar are good but the pars are exceptional at the moment.
They could draw the gers in this cup…..

    • Mr Fixit 9 years ago

jazza bairn, I’ve won so much on Dunfermline since the start of the season that I’m tempted too.
But my head says leave them out tonight simply because of Forfar’s super start.
Their boss Dick Campbell is a shrewdie who doesn’t give much away.
Could be a cracking game though.

  86. Scott 9 years ago

Some thoughts on what I see as overpriced sides:
I think Middlesbrough are overpriced at Derby as it has been already stated on here, 15/8 @ Bet365 (I’d imagine they’d be 2/1 at other places) is massive. By no means will it be an easy game but I just think Boro have more quality, with Downing and Fabbrini Premier League quality and Kike bagging a few goals last game. Derby have drew their first two games, one away at Bolton 0-0 who Boro smashed 3-0 at home and one at home to Charlton who, although not a bad side, should be 3 points for Derby if they want to be up there.
Also think Hartlepool are an brilliant price @ 5/4 at home to Newport. Newport have no money and could be in a bit of trouble down the bottom this year, losing 3-0 to Cambridge first game and conceding a last minute goal against Stevenage in their last game. They lost a decent manager in Justin Edinburgh last season and have since appointed Terry Butcher. Hartlepool on the other hand have won both league games and their cup game too. I expected Hartlepool to drop from 21/20 yesterday to something more like 4/5, but at this price I had to take it. This is the bet I’m most confident on winning
Another pick is Preston away at Rotherham at 6/4, although I was hoping for something more like Boro’s price. Preston won away at MK Dons and drew at home to Boro, wheres Rotherham got battered 4-1 at home to MK Dons and lost away at Forest. I’m more confident on Hartlepool and think Middlesbrough are a better price but still think this could be a decent bet

  87. Sean Ireland 9 years ago

Like the looks of Man Utd to be winning at HT/FT @ Evens Paddy Power, may not have set the world alight in their 2 wins in the lg but they were leading at HT/FT both ties and they wont want the panic of being level at HT in this game, feel quite confident of this bet coming in. Good Luck.

    • Jordan 9 years ago

Sean, United to score before 32 minutes is 5/6 @ 365. Seems quite high to say we’ve scored both of our goals this year before that mark.

Mr F 2-0 is 2-0 and we won’t say you copied anyone ;) Like yourself I also really fancy Leverkusen to get something out of tonight. Lazio have been rotten in pre season. I had Preston, Northampton and and Leverkusen lined up in a score treble but chose to just add Coventry and home to make it over EVS.

  88. TheBoss 9 years ago

Whats the thought on Dunfermline tonight?

    • Mr Fixit 9 years ago

TheBoss, I’ve made mine clear – they could win but it’s not an easy game for them.
      I’m on both to score.

  89. Dom77 9 years ago

    CONCACAF Champions League – 1:00AM and 3:00AM

I won’t put up any bets yet as I’m inclined to wait for team news for tonights games.

    Tigres vs Metapan

The Mexican Apertura and Copa Libertardores runners up Tigres will play their first group game against El Salvadors Metapan who were beaten 3-0 by Herediano in their first group game. As said previously, the Mexicans take this competition very seriously so hopefully we see Gignac and Sobis in the line up. Metapan are veterans of the competition but that’s not to say they’re any good. Only one win and a draw in 18 away games over the years. Seems Mexico is a tough place for them to travel too. If you look at every game they’ve played there, they’ve lost by an aggregate of 23-1 in just four games. 4-1, 8-0, 6-0, and 5-0. Tigres should win comfortably with a good side so consider the -3 handicap @ 7/5 @ PP or Over 3.5 Tigres Team Goals are currently only available with two bookies @ 10/13 @ Winner & Titanbet which I don’t have accounts with.

    LA Galaxy vs Comunicaciones

Galaxy have had the advantage of playing two home games so early but this should be a tougher test than in their 5-1 win over Trinidadian side Central. The Guatemalans won their Apertura and Clasura last season and have managed to progress to the quarterfinals in recent years. Away form not so great once more having only won 5 of their last 18 away games. They had scored in 7 of their last 8 away games before losing out to eventual champions Club America 2-0. Their only ‘recent’ trip to the USA was in a 4-1 loss to Seattle in 2011. Again team news is important as the MLS is getting tight so players may be rested, but consider LA Galaxy to score Over 2.5 Team Goals @ 7/10 @ WillHill. BTTS pays 5/4 @ Betway which could be the bet to take if changes are made to the US side.

There is another game on with Belize champions Verdes hosting Querataro from Mexico, but I’m inclined to leave this one out. 365 have Queretaro priced up @ 1/50 for the win, but without seeing the pitch I’d advise staying clear of this one. According to Soccerway the ground is called FFB Field (Belmopán) and judging by the map location its in the middle of a dirt road :) Verdes have only played two preliminary games in the competition against Cruz Azul in 2008 (also Mexican) both losing 6-0 home and away, so a big win for Queretaro is likely if they play the likes of Villa (not David).

Like I said no stakes yet but will post any bets I eventually take later on tonight. Bets to consider.

    Tigres Over 3.5 Team Goals
    Tigres -3 (Asian or European)
LA Galaxy Over 2.5 Team Goals
LA Galaxy/Comunicaciones BTTS (and BTTS & Win)

    Hello All,

I hope everyone is doing great, should be around again now, things settled down indoors, just found out we have another little bubba on the way! First betting target PRAM haha.Considering i lobbed everything after the second thinking that was the end of children haha.

End of last season I started to come away from accumulators and started to do a Lucky 31 (5 teams) for those who dont know the bet consists of

    5 Singles
    10 Doubles
    10 Trebles
    5 Fourfold Accumulators
    1 Fivefold Accumulator

Now how many times does it happen with an accumulator that we miss out with that 1 team. So starting from tonights game i will put up my lucky 31 bet as and when.

    Costs
minimum would be 10p which would total £3.10 i usually
    32p bet totals £9.92.

Beauty of this bet is you can do four favs if you like and stick in that 1 risk bet ie West Ham to beat Arsenal, if they come in your laughing all the way to bookies, if it doesnt you still will get a return to bet on the next day.

    18/08/2015 bets Day 1

    Manchester United -1 (10/11)
    Mk Dons to win (17/20)
    Ipswich BTTS (19/20)
    Burton to Win (23/20)
    Northampton to Win (13/10)

    10 points on this

i had great success last year and hopefully same again this year. As Mr Fixit has a great track record you could also combine his tips into this.

    All the best everyone

    Billy Boy

Mr H / Alex – never feel the need to apologise for contributing your tips and opinion for others to take or leave as they please. We are all grown adults and make our own gambling decisions on the basis of our own actions. I am absolutely trousers down after that Voltes game but there is nobody to hold to account but me – I put the bet on.

Keep tipping boys, and chins up. We did well over the weekend, we gotta give the bookies a bit back or they’d go out of business, right ;)

    Lucky Billy 31

Haha, I like your positive spin on things Sir!

I tipped Voltes each time in the O4.5/5.5/6.5/7.5/8.5 match goals in their last game and they won 9-0 so swings and roundabouts I guess.

Motherwell have gone 1 up so just need another for the O1.5fhgs bet, come on lads!

    Afternoon gents,

Loads to go at this evening and I mentioned that I fancied Bury at home against Fleetwood last night for the win at evens…now into 17/20 – we still have a few out including Nardiello, but I believe Fleetwood are not full strength themselves and have their captain out crocked from last game.

Going to pinch a few ideas from others on here tonight for an Acca so hopefully be saying a few ‘cheers’ later on.

Hit the crossbar with one team not scoring in an Icelandic BTTS Acca yesterday and looking forward to a good night in their first division games tonight…should be some crackers for goals and as yesterday with BTTS, I think Over 2.5 goals in each game won’t be far off…worth a pop and pays a fraction over 13.5/1.

More specifically, I will be targeting two games:

VIKINGUR OLAFSVIK v KOPAVOGS – home side have been very consistent to bet on all year and sit top on sound form both win and goal wise. Over 3.5 goals at 29/20 has appeal as does -1 on the h/cap at 5/6.

GRINDAVIK v BOLUNGARVIK – Grindavik are by no means the best of sides but they are more than capable of notching a few goals…helped by the fact that they are playing recent spanking boys of 1 Deild Bolungarvik who rightly sit bottom and are on dreadful form. Over 3.5 goals pays only evens but looks good and, again, the home side -1 on the h/cap is on at 17/20.

Last one will be a fourfold of teams to score 2+ goals:

Olafsvik, Grindavik, Boro, Portsmouth (Cheers Greg)…pays 9.5/1.

    Good luck with all bets

Back from holidays today and happy that premier league bets came in especially it being first weeks of the league.

I have read that lazio will be without their main striker(most probably) , main keeper and also a main defender. They have also been poor pre season.

Burton are my ” 2nd” team and tonights game is not going to be a roll over – but then again it is Blackpool.
Burton’s aim this season is to consolidate their position in this new league. If Burton get a point away from home against anyone this season, then to me they are bonus points, their bulk of points will obviously come from their home games.
The thing that I do like about Burton though is that the team has only taken in a few new names and therefore tweaked the team, whilst Blackpool have had to effectively start from scratch ( which started 12 months ago ). I saw their opening lague friendly teamsheet last season, there were 5 names on the starting 11 called ” Player ” Mrs Player must be awfully proud of her sons all making the team.
Blackpool are ripe for the taking but I don’t like backing away favourites.
I will be having a small acca tonight:
    Man Utd win
    Middlesborough to score
    Hartlepool double result
    Burton double result
    York double result

my bank is up to £44 quid today and anything that I make above £44 will be going on the above 5 fold

    BANTAMS TIPS
I have taken a lot of tips from this site, and so am going to start giving something back, going with what I know – Bradford City.
The only tip I have posted on here so far this season was on the SS competition thread and that was Bradford v Shrewsbury BTTS @2.05 which won, so here we go for tonight…….

H2H stats show these matches tend to be low scoring, the last 5 between the two have been U2.5 with 3 of those U1.5. 9 of the 11 have been U2.5. This pays 1.80.

This season the 2 sides have started very differently, with Gillingham unbeaten in league and cup, and City yet to win. Gillingham scoring 5 and conceding 1 and City conceding 5 and scoring 2 in the opening 2 rounds of the league.
Gilingham to win @ 4.20 looks very generous and could be worth backing. For those wanting a safer bet go for Gillingham DC @ 1.85.

Although I am tempted by BTTS as the Bantams have a good home record with a huge (for L1) crowd the Gills defensive record puts me off. It has come in in all 3 City matches so far, and 2 of the 3 Gills matches and can be backed @ 1.83.

Bradford’s defence has suffered with the departure of Andrew Davies to Ross County so I am going to go for Gills goals which give a pretty good return considering the current form of both the home defence and the away attack.

    GILLINGHAM O1.5tg 3.40

    Bets 1
    Won 1
    Lost 0
    Staked 1
    Return 2.05
    Profit +1.05

Afternoon Guys, A big card tonight and, midweek games last season was hard to find winners and I am keeping selections to a minimum this early in the season and small stakes, after a very good past few days. I like Burton and Portsmouth, Sheffield United were my super single on Saturday but I have passed them over in favour of Plymouth.

Carlisle make the 799 mile round trip to Plymouth which is probably the longest trip in England. Carlisle have taken just 1 point in their last 11 trips to Plymouth. I will take them to extend that run at 19/20 Ladbrokes.

In the goal scorer market, Reuben Reid did me a few favours last season, he scored 18 league goals last season. He faces a defence that conceded 4 goals at home at the weekend he is 7/4 Skybet. My final selection is another old favourite, I put him up on Saturday and he delivered and that player is Matt Tubbs of Portsmouth. Last seasons top scorer faces his old side tonight and boosted by his goal at the weekend I will take him to net again. He is 6/4 Ladbrokes.

I am putting these scorers up without seeing the line-ups so of course team news should be checked before placing a bet on these two.

    Super Single

    PLYMOUTH TO WIN 19/20

    REID TO SCORE 7/4
    TUBBS TO SCORE 6/4

Good luck if your having a bet

STEVE Davis is looking for his Crewe side to be much harder to beat when they travel to Coventry City.
Davis hasn’t seen his side keep a clean sheet on their travels in their last 11 attempts since the 1-0 win at Vale Park in January.

That was just one of two clean sheets kept by the Alex away from Gresty Road last season, with their 47 goals against a league high.

They were beaten 2-0 by Scunthorpe United in their opening away game of this season, and despite creating chances of their own, could have seen the Iron score more than the two Paddy Madden managed.

De Gea situation starting to p*ss me off. The club is obviously lying to it’s fans. De Gea is obviously going. If I was LVG I’d do a Mourinho type act and play De Gea. If he was off to Madrid, they wouldn’t be able to play him in the Champions League. Obviously some agreement has been reached. But ‘his mind is not in the right place’ Of course Louis, of course…

    • Mr Fixit 9 years ago

    Derby team:

    carson
    baird/Keogh/shackell/Warnock
    hanson/hendrick/thorne
    Weimann/martin/Ince

only 2 changes from the last game, Warnock in for forsyth and Russell rested and in comes weimann.

the boss is sticking with the 4-3-3 but ditching the wingbacks in favour of out and out defenders.

not sure why Russell is left out because it always seems like things are gonna happen when he gets the ball.

I’m still not confident we’ll keep Middlesborough out for 90 mins and I do still think we’ll also score so I’m sticking with btts.

Borough’s new signing David Nugent does like to score against Derby, he did it a few times against us the last time Leicester were in the championship. From what I can gather, he will be starting on the Borough bench.

      *MY EARLY TIP*

after yesterdays amazing performance by dunfermline i have checked to see price for next match which is a cup game away to forfar. Dunfermline are priced up at EVENS for this and i understand forfar are a good team also but with the momentum with dunfermline and the goals im willing to take this EVENS price before it drops further. as usual i always do a treble and my second selection is Bayern leverkusen at 8/5 against a poor lazio side on tuesday in the champions league
my third selection is an early one as game isnt to saturday but i have picked out swansea at 23/20 before it drops and this needs no explanation as playing sunderland haha

      Dunfermline EVS
      Bayern Leverkusen 8/5
      Swansea 23/20

      £25 stake returns £279.50

Hope some of you follow after yesterdays treble of 3 aways…

Jordan I don’t think he’ll be cup tied anyway if he plays tonight, as it’s a qualifier and they don’t have to name their squads till the competition starts proper.

Petrofac Training Cup: both teams unchanged starting elevens

After scoring 22 goals in their first four competitive matches, Dunfermline travelled to Station Park Forfar for the Second Round tie in the Petrofac Training Cup. Both teams were unchanged from Saturday and given they scored eleven goals between them so this was a match that had all the makings of a great contest.

Heavy rain during the afternoon dampened the playing surface and there was a good travelling support hoping to see their team win in Forfar for the first time since February 2014.

    shortee,

I have changed my name to mark73 as there seems to be other marks on here. Thanks for the info, will definetely have a go as you are doing well at the moment, well done yesterday on your barca tip. :)

    • shortee 9 years ago

yea mark was wondering where your name went to but u changed it lol

yes mate doing ok since im doing less bets and having patience … as i say that bet i just named is an interest for fun bet but my main bet is the other treble

  203. Jordan 9 years ago

Dazzler you’re correct on the squads not being named but it’s just the bull all the time. What are they waiting for? Just sell him if he’s going.

    Shortee,

Anything for tonight or giving it a miss mate?

  207. shortee 9 years ago

only bet i have on mark is that one named above as dunfermline and leverkusen play tonight and the price of swansea has dropped so thats why it was put on early

other than that mark i would be inclined to follow the following for fun stakes

    Burton 5/4
    Preston 6/4
Swindon over 2.5 match goals 1/1

    £20 returns £225

  208. Skippy 9 years ago

  209. Dazzler 9 years ago

Jordan Madrid need a goal keeper we don’t need to sell. Madrid have got Casillas and Navas, they need De Gea more than we need to sell him.
It’s all about the money and Madrid will come up with it before the deadline.
Utd can’t say that though because it weekend their position.

    • Jack 9 years ago

Actually they have Casilla now, Casillas has gone to Porto. Looking forward to your MLB tips!

Unlucky there Mr F. Terrible goal to concede and that keeps the tie wide open now. Good equaliser from Memphis to open his account.

  214. shortee 9 years ago

best of luck mate and as i said its only a fun bet so not to be taken seriously but bayern leverkusen are part of my treble…

now you see why i stay away from teams at less than evens price like united. lmfao

i always do above evens and three or four teams since i have changed my betting strategy

  232. HullShaker 9 years ago

Looking OK for the Icelandic Over 2.5 acca Crane if Grindavik would sort their sh*t out. Plenty of time and worth remembering most goals come late in second half in this div.

  233. nathan ufton 9 years ago

A big heads up ( not good news speaking as a derby fan ) – double midfield injury again, hendrick and Hansen both off ( that’s twice in 3 games ). We have a serious midfield problem now.

Its gonna be a tough ask to keep this at 1 nil.

Fabrini looks like he’s injured for Borough after tripping over his own feet.

    Johnny Russell on for Derby.

    • nathan ufton 9 years ago

And this years Oscar for best actor goes to Fabrini.

  237. James Slater 9 years ago

Memphis Depay, this kid is a real talent

    • Mr Fixit 9 years ago

James, first time I’ve not tipped him to score too.

  238. James Slater 9 years ago

First time i’ve properly watched him since joining from PSV and his overall movement, reading of the game and close ball control is outstanding. Utd have got some player on their hands!

  239. Jordan 9 years ago

James it’s because he’s playing in his suited position. Looked lost when playing behind Rooney in pre season but you can tell he’s more comfortable on the right. Taken both goals brilliantly.

  240. Dazzler 9 years ago

Completely agree Mr F. UEFA make their own rules up to suit.

  241. Jordan 9 years ago

Left* Wing* Flank* Whatever you wanna call it :)

  242. James Slater 9 years ago

Haha Mr.F typical.. sods law in fact!

Unlucky on your win to nil super single, I almost went for that but was more tempted on UTD -1 at 23/20 William Hill. As slick as they look going forward your heart isn’t half in your mouth when they’re on the back foot, they just don’t look like they’re all singing off the same hymn sheet at all.

Blind is not a bloody centre half! They need to nip in and get Otamendi whilst they have the chance

    • Mr Fixit 9 years ago

James Slater, looks like Otamendi’s a done deal for City which could see Denayer return to Celtic on loan. Van Dijk almost certainly off to Southampton.

  243. jazza bairn 9 years ago

    Ritchie it certainly will.
All things considered after a super weekend bets. I just thought dunfermline are a cut above bet365 at 11 to 8 at 8am this morning I couldn’t believe it was expecting evs…
    Cheers

  244. James Slater 9 years ago

Fully agree with you Jordan mate, he’s an out and out 7 on the wing isn’t he? He’s got the ilk of Ronaldo’s early game style written all over him, cutting in from out wide and pinging it on his right or left foot and scoring goals like the 2nd one he’s got tonight. He’s got a far bigger build on him than Ronaldo had at his age. Could be calling it a bit too early here and i know it’s against Club Brugge, but this kid could have an outstanding season if he wanted

  245. InterYerNan 9 years ago

    Depay is frikkin awesome

Dunfermline bringing home the bacon yet again.

Middlesbrough one nil up hopefully they can get another.

Trebles not looking to good was hoping for at least one goal in each before half time. Its a game of two halves though so hopefully 2nd halfs in each see some goals!

    • Mr Fixit 9 years ago

InterYerNan, Schweinsteiger’s on and Man Utd need at least one more goal. I’m on them to win the second half at just over 1-2 with bet365.

    • Mr Fixit 9 years ago

Tigerman1, as you know I left them out tonight. Wasn’t surprised they won but it was 0-0 until Forfar red card.
Should have another tough one at Peterhead on Saturday and I’ll give you a great bet right now – Rory McAllister to score.
He hit 5 tonight at Falkirk which is an amazing feat but this is a player who gave up Premier League football to train as a plumber and who could be playing at a higher level if he wanted.

  266. sanjay 9 years ago

Pretty pissed as Bayer have a goal disallowed for offside when it wasn’t and then lazio score. These refs and linesmen need video replay.

    • Mr Fixit 9 years ago

Nick, there were enough warnings not to go big – it wasn’t the night.
Midweek English cards are usually tough to call.
League One the place for goals tonight and maybe some win and btts bets.

  268. Chris 9 years ago

Mr Fix-It, I would like to thank you for a great site and great tips from yourself and other posters, but in particular a method that you were using during the somewhat barren summer months, which was a double or treble of teams not to lose (double chance).

I have been using this on sometimes 4 or 5 teams this season and it has been working a treat, tonight for example I had:

    Hartlepool not to lose
    Burton not to lose
    Plymouth not to lose
    Dunfermline not to lose

I realise this is somewhat pragmatic perhaps (for lack of better word!) and the odds only usually work out around evens, but it has certainly building my bank up. The funny thing is all 4 of the above won tonight!

Once again, thank you, keep up the good work.

    • Mr Fixit 9 years ago

Chris, if you’re happy with it there’s nothing wrong with it. I quite like double chances but prefer when they are 1-2 or above.

  269. nathan ufton 9 years ago

can I get a BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM. Johnny Russell for 1-1 . that’s the btts up. if god exists then derby get another, I get a speculative £10 5 way acca come home for £326.

    • Mr Fixit 9 years ago

nathan, fair play. Took the double chance and need a Coventry goal for one of the trebles.

  274. OneGear 9 years ago

    ** WINNER **

1-0. From looking through twitter this game was a bore fest. Who cares, York got the job done & the bets a winner!

    Tuesday

    Preston – English Championship – 7:45PM
    Coventry – English League 1 – 7:45PM
    Northampton – English League 2 – 7:45PM

To Score Treble @ just over EVS @ WillHill (1.03/1) – 3 points **ROTTEN**

£2 profit on the night thanks to the Newcastle loanee haha

Posted this earlier today so it may have been missed. After a bit more research, LA Galaxy will put out a strong side against Comunicaciones who had more than 10 players go to the Gold Cup and should put more of a fight up than Galaxys last opponents. My Spanish isn’t too great and neither is Google Translate but if Tigres are to follow in the footsteps of their Mexican compatriots then they should put out a decent 11.

**ORIGINAL POST** (Apologies as it’s lengthy)

    CONCACAF Champions League

    Tigres vs Metapan – 1:00AM

LA Galaxy vs Comunicaciones – 3:00AM

Markets very limited so just throwing together a smaller double and a long shot as without team news I’m stepping into the unknown on the Tigres side of things.

    Tigres/Metapan Goal Line Over 3
LA Galaxy/Comunicaciones Over 2.5 Match Goals

    Shade under 4/5 @ 365 (0.77/1) – 3 points

  296. Greg Browning 9 years ago

Wato, CC, Sean great stuff gents – looks like most have had a profitable Tuesday

Well done with the SS and Treble Mr F

Rory Goals McAllister should be playing Chapionship Mr F, I guess from his point of view he gets a full time wage as a plumber and is probaby very well looked after by Peterhead in terms of what he gets paid – probably makes financial sense for him to play part time!

Thanks again to everyone for messages – two from three at odds against so not a bad night at all!

    • Mr Fixit 9 years ago

Greg, not too bad for a difficult night. I’ve always rated McAllister but that’s some feat tonight.
      How scared will Dunfermline be?

  297. HullShaker 9 years ago

Poor stuff from me today with only the -1 handicap Olafskvik a winner… others lost and sorry if anyone followed.

Mr F, took your English treble and added Burton for the four-fold – won me back a good amount and covered my own losing bets…cheers!

    • Mr Fixit 9 years ago

kevy, should win but I’ll look at it further in the morning.

  302. Greg Browning 9 years ago

5 goals at any level is hats off stuff, not a feat many players will achieve

Off the top of my head in Trying to think who has has scored 5 – Marco Negri against dundee United springs to mind

The pars wouldn’t even fear messi they way they are going Mr F, haha! I work with one and he’s been wearing his Dunfermline tie pin with pride – goals could be the call on Saturday

    • Mr Fixit 9 years ago

Greg, I remember Boyd getting 5 v Dundee Utd when he was scoring for fun. I saw Bankies score 6 v St Johnstone when you were top of the table but I don’t think any of our players got five – not even Ken Eadie.
Anyway a Dunfermline tie pin must be worth a few quid these days and could be loads of goals on Saturday – Peterhead have nine in 2 games and Dunfermline 10 in 2.

  303. nightowl 9 years ago

    Dag & Red v Exeter

    Over 2.5 21/20 WIN
    BTTS 8/11 WIN
Over 2.5 and BTTS 13/10 WIN

Full house, happy days. Didn’t have time to post earlier but I also had Portsmouth as a single and a 12/1 acca of Coventry, York, Burton and Swindon… got a bit excited when I saw Coventry had got one in the last 10 minutes because I thought all the earlier kick offs were home and hosed… checked back at full time and Swindon drew 2-2 thanks to a 96th minute penalty. Football, bloody hell. As ever some quality tips and research on here today, cheers to everyone for your input!
