    4:15 Kempton – Exchequer (NAP) @ 5/1

Hannon is back on the hot trainers list and the horse is 2 from 3 on the all weather, His 3rd placing last time out is misleading as he horse in from came off a straight line and carried him left across the track but he kept on.

    4:45 Kempton – Sweetheart Abbey (NB) @ 5/1

Best efforts are on the all weather, promising run last time out suggest that this one is starting to peak again. Adam Kirby retains the ride.

Wasn’t Outer Space 9/1 and Lopito De Vega 6/1? That’s what it looks like when I’m looking at current and past prices.

  14. Alex 1 year ago

I have a small bet on 6:20 Ela Goog La Mou 7/1 posted last night although it seems that the lower drawn horses are favoured at this track.

  15. dougiec 1 year ago

Alex I took the 7/1 last night,Said I wouldn’t tip at Chelmsford, but the new surface seems a lot better and one off the Tracker is Rookies Golden Amber.7.20,nicely drawn so Ive had a bet on that

Hi everyone. I need some advice, and thought that there are no better people to ask than the knowledgeable crew who are on here.
My son is going to a stag do at Newton Abbot on Saturday. He has no idea about horse racing and I said that I would ask for your help.
Apart from keeping to level stakes and not chasing losses can you please tell us which trainers and jockeys to look out for.
Also, it would be great if anyone knows of any horses that have been aimed at the races on Saturday.
Any help is very much appreciated.
Good luck with your selections today.

    • LM/C 1 year ago

Pydar Paul Nicholls has 3 entered in 2.30 Newton abbot on sat. Whichever 1 of those runs would be a good bet, I’m thinking VESPERAL DREAM.

    • Postman 1 year ago

Hi Pydar, Not seen the entries but I can tell you that Trainer John Ferguson and jockey Aidan Coleman are a good combination to
follow at Newton Abbot. Maybe watch the entries and see if they have anything.

All your stallions out there have any idea how many seconds you have after the race has gone off to place your bet with Betfred. I put a double on at Betfred at 15:01:17 they accepted the bet, both horses came in when I went for winnings they said my the race went off at 15:01:05 so the bet is void as I was 12 seconds late. Why didn’t they tell me this at the time???

Golden Horn’s owner Anthony Oppenheimer has admitted he still gets nervous watching his pride and joy ahead of what looks an exceptional renewal of the Juddmonte International at York on Wednesday.

Despite Golden Horn having already won the Derby and Eclipse this season, stretching his unbeaten record to five, the former president of the De Beers diamond group finds it hard to relax seeing his homebred in action.

With the 10-furlong Group One billed by some as the race of the decade, Oppenheimer is likely to be even more jittery than usual as he is taking on a dual Guineas winner in Gleneagles, one the most impressive winners of Royal Ascot in Time Test and local hero The Grey Gatsby, last year’s French Derby winner.

“The horse is very well. I went to see him on Friday and he looked marvellous,” said Oppenheimer of the John Gosden-trained colt.

“It’s easy to say anything, but one really doesn’t know if this is his greatest challenge. All we know is that it looks to be a terribly exciting race and we’re glad to be part of it.

“Gleneagles is a very good horse and I’m sure he’ll stay. I’m sure they would have liked to have kept him at a mile if they could, but the ground has gone against him.

“I was at Roger Charlton’s last week and saw Time Test. He’s a gorgeous looking horse and is very smart, but whether he has the experience to take on the two more experienced horses, time well tell.

“Dick Doughtywylie (whom Oppenheimer recently purchased to act as Golden Horn’s pacemaker) has led the likes of Kingman and enjoys going off in front. He’s there to make sure there are no hard-luck stories and to ensure a true-run race.

“We wouldn’t be at all worried about the ground as he goes on good to soft, rather than thick mud.

“I still get nervous watching him, but he’s done marvellously for us so far and it would be lovely if he could win again.”

Any of you stallions out there have any idea how many seconds after the start of the race you have to place your bet with Betfred. I placed a double at 15:01:17 and they accepted the bet. Both horses came in and when I went to collect my winnings, they said the first race went off at 15:01:05, so the bet was void as I was 12 seconds late. Why didn’t they tell me this at the time? William Hill gives you 17 seconds and Ladbrokes give you 15 seconds, so both said they would of paid out on the bet. Any one know with Betfred would be most appreciated!!!

  110. Martin 1 year ago

Hey All, I hope there have been lots of winners today so far!

Im in a predicament; i have the following which i placed last night, last two horses still left to run. Storm the stars runs tomorrow which I am confident about (Also my NAP for tomorrow) as you can see, very small stakes for a big win (30p into £68)

I’m currently being offered £4.44 cash out.

The reason i ask for you guys’ advice, is that no one has tipped Radhaadh today. Paul Hanagan on a Stoute horse. Favored in the race although has competition from a Joe Fanning and Mark Johnston pairing (Blame Love) who placed 5th in his debut.

any advice on the race would be highly appreciated guys.

    Thanks

      Thanks Rookie

Any advice from all of you guys and gals would be great..

What are thoughts on Storm The Stars tomorrow 15:05 at York? Pat Cosgrave / Haggis Currently favorite. Looks like it could be a tough race with Balios, Bondi Beach and Tashaar all running..

should i cash out for a current £12.12 profit (original bet was 30p, 6 fold) or let it run for potential return of £68.57?

Thoughts about the race and horses would be hugely welcomed

  129. Rookie 1 year ago

No probs duncan- nice to repay the favour!

Confindence was reinforced when endorsed by dougie!

It was 14/1 with B365 when i posted last night. So hope some got the price.

Keeping it simple tomorrow despite the tracker throwing out Time Test! Golden Horn all day long for me. Perhaps if you want some e/w value to place then its the Great Gatsby but not something I will be on. I think the 3:05 is a wide open race and it will really depend on how it is run. I would prefer to take my chance in this race with a horse that is open to more improvement especially since Storm The Stars (classy) has had a fair few races already. I will be on Tashaar and so it’s a Dettori double. I will also take singles:

    3:05 Tashaar 9/2
    3:40 Golden Horn 4/6

    Double 8.18/1 Bet365

  155. Martin 1 year ago

My NAP for tomorrow is Adventurous 14:30 York 6.5/1, drop in grade, won it’s 2nd last start, came 4th last time in that higher grade.

    • Martin 1 year ago

i also see this as William Buick’s best chance of a win today at York, apart from the 16:55 which looks anyone’s game

  156. Johnb 1 year ago

5 points staked today and 7 points returned

August now showing a 43.63 point profit

Wednesday is the start of the York Ebor meeting and what first day we have with the Juddmonte International with GOLDEN HORN v GLENEAGLES v TIME TEST v THE GREY GATSBY
Golden Horn is proven over the distance and further so this has to be made a proper test of stamina with the likes of Gleneagles in the race who is running over 10f for the first time,
Golden Horn proved last time that he can make the running and win which is hard for a horse to do, it’s easier for a horse to track a front runner so it’s no surprise to see Anthony Oppenheimer supliment Dick Doughtywylie who was bought for this job
The pace will be fast and the Horn will love it

    Wednesday’s Tips

    York
    3:05
Storm The Stars 10/3 NAP hills

    4:55
    Reputation 13/2 NB hills

    Kempton
    8:40
    King Calypso 9/2 hills

    Also advising 3x 0.5 point doubles & 1x 0.5 point treble at quoted hills odds 10/3 13/2 9/2
