ON a quiet night my only bet on Monday was a challenge bet that won at 1-2.

I played safe with Chelsea draw no bet and St Patrick's draw no bet and both won with Antonio Conte's side leaving it late to see off West Ham.
It will be a different story on Tuesday with a huge card to look at but that doesn't always make it easier.
I've posted a Champions League preview and have now added top tips. The Top Treble is on three home teams who have started the season well enough – Brighton v Rotherham, Norwich v Bristol City and Gillingham v Swindon.
It's been a tough start to life in the Championship for Burton with two defeats and it doesn't get any easier with a visit from Sheffield Wednesday who have come through two difficult games undefeated. The Owls are my Super Single.
One bet I'm putting just now and it's a speculative one. The first round of the IRN-BRU Cup – the new Scottish Challenge Cup – that features top-flight Under-20 sides alongside League One, Two and non-league teams and later on Irish and Welsh outfits too – saw 13 out of 13 ties go over 2.5 goals.
These games are tough to call as WDWs but I can resist a small stake on nine overs at 48-1 with McBookie who have plenty of markets on the games.

Harry you can do no wrong and its been a while since the site had someone make such massive profit. Lets also remember that this cannot go on forever, but either way we are both men of principals; never take money you didnt earn (unless its your birthday) and pay your debts.

    • Jordan 8 years ago

Not being funny the notorious, but there’s probably nobody on this site who’s lost as much in my opinion. Harry might do well when he wins, but like another ex site member beginning with H, the losses were swept under the carpet. Harry has a great insight for in-play bets, no doubt about it, but the clarity of it all is very underwhelming, and I’m not the only one with these assumptions. Not everyone on this site is simpleminded.

    • the notorious 8 years ago

Im sorry Jordan, but what I say still stands.

    • harrybaines 8 years ago

Jordan, i obviously i loose £50 on my bets when they loose, even when it is on bet 4 and it goes down that would be say £450 lost but the only amount that has come out of my bank account is that starting stake of £50. So if you see bet 5 go down with a £700 stake you assume i have lost £700 when in reality it is only £50. My profit is now over £7000 and that’s the truth and even notorious knows it. It’s all in front of me in black and white, on the 13th on February i had around £150 in my bank and now i have exactly £7190. I do nothing at all to earn a income than this, money doesn’t just appear in my account and that’s how i know i am £7000 + in profit.

About my losses on each challenge, from now on i am now stating how many attempts there has been since last hitting £1000, so if i my challenge goes down 4 times that will still be £800 profit. I said to Crane before on every single one of my challenges my profit from that challenge has never been any less than £500. Sometimes it takes me 7 attempts to hit that £1000 but that is still £650 profit. I can guarantee if anyone followed everyone of my bets for 1 month they would be in £800 + profit that month! Everyone needs to remember that if i get to my final bet and it looses that would of been a stake of around £650 but i would only be -50 down as that was the only amount coming out of my account. Imagine you had a 6 fold accumulator with a £25 stake and the returns were £900, all bets win except the last one. You have only lost £25 as that was your stake, you never lost the £900, exact same as my challenge bet’s. I just keep rolling and rolling up to £1000. So not matter how much i loose on a challenge bet i have only really lost £50. This is why my profit is so high as on average it takes me around 4/5 attempts so that’s £700 profit on average every-time i complete a challenge. It soon add’s up, i have completed a challenge in under 12 hours before.

    • harrybaines 8 years ago

At the end of the day whether you dislike me or like me i am £7000+ in profit. I am not a liar and i am not exaggerating anything, i am speaking the truth. I have taken the time to go back to the 15th of Feb to screenshot my balance “only avalible through transactions” and what my balance currently is. Like i said i have no other income and “betting” is currently my only income right now.

      February Balance – https://postimg.org/image/x6nnvlzb3/

      Today’s Balance – https://postimg.org/image/defx9vijj/

Admin please don’t remove this, i want people to see i am not making stuff up and the profit i claim to have is actually true and not false. Thanks

      @the-notorious

    • warktheline 8 years ago

@harrybaines, your way of betting doesn’t suit all, ‘high risk’. If as you say, your profits are so high, why keep justifying yourself? Are you looking for recognition from followed tipsters? I’m sure it’s been noted by many on site, but that doesn’t mean all will follow your method of betting! Please stick to the ‘challenge’ thread, that’s why Mr. F set it up, to divide betting formations. Good luck Harry!

    STEAUA BUCHAREST v MAN CITY:

Was already looking at prices for City to concede and no doubt this will be a tough visit and just read your CL preview thread Mr F – cheers – great write-up.

I think City could well concede and the ‘no clean sheet’ market appeals at 8/11 but it’s just too risky and with City’s obvious threat I’m taking two selections:

    OVER 2.5 MGS…3/4

    BTTS & OVERS…13/8

Good luck with all bets ?

A cautionary note about Derby heading into tonight’s game.

Whilst we have the squad and depth, the gaffer seems hell-bent on going against the rigid 4-3-3 we’ve been playing for 3 seasons and going back to basics with a 4-4-2.
Last season we had a stinker of a start with a solitary league cup victory and 5x back to back draws. I’m really hoping we put Bent out to pasture and bring back the old guard of Martin/Ince/Russell/Hendrick/Bryson/Hughes.

How we miss George Thorne., and whoever at Derby decided to let John Eustace go a season back should be taught the ancient art of Russian roulette with a single barrelled shotgun. ” You first ” Thorne pre-season 2014/15 got a cruciate knee injury against Zenit St Petersbergh which which took 10 months to get back from, then gets a double lower leg break in May against Ipswich.

Up until about 3 years ago, the North-west used to be a wretched place for Derby with regards results – in particular Burnley/Blackburn/Preston and Bolton. Surprisingly, we seemed to show up when huge teams like Man Utd would entertain us. We have sort-of put that ghost to bed but knowing that NONE of Derby’s match winners are gelling on the pitch – possibly because the manager is making such a drastic formation/style change on the team AND still not knowing what his best 11 is, is a little worrying.
Maybe in 5 months time, it could be that that he’s playing smart by building up momentum slowly so that come February, we don’t run out of steam like the last 2 seasons. Only time will tell.

I was kinda confident( more-so) with my last match prediction @ under 2.5 tmg’s which gave the site a nice 3/4, but sadly from a Derby fans perspective, it was the worst one of 6 possible results that had to occur to land the bet. 2 nil to the home side. It could be ” As you were ” with my choice bet tonight as Derby are really struggling to get started. Another potential is the Derby double result – last check showed a 19/50 price with bet365.
The big players at Derby know they’ve got to up their work-rate and we’ve got to find our best 11. Preston should at least on paper be a cake walk but who can trust stats at this stage of the league?

6 teams more than capable of covering a -1.5 a/h are Brighton, Derby, Sheff Wed, Norwich, Charlton and Brentford.

If my bet bank keeps rising come tonight, I’ll be dropping a £20 on the 6 way. Speculative I know but @2458.37/1 with bet365, its gotta be worth looking at.

I should be on hand come kick-off with team news.

Another tough night in the Football League to be honest. 6 or 7 I like and I whittle them down in the morning.

  5. Jordan 8 years ago

Posted todays bet yesterday morning and here’s why.

The Champions League qualifiers are at their final stage and my game picked sees Switzerland’s Young Boys host Germany’s Monchegladbach. I followed the Germans results most weeks last season, and while they were a force at home, they struggled on the road, conceding the second most amount of goals in the Bundesliga. They’ve had a lengthy pre-season but this will be their first competitive fixture in three months. They are favourites to qualify, and while that’s probably realistic, the Swiss will give them a tough time, especially at home on their plastic pitch where they are dominant in their domestic league.

The Young Boys will be desperate to qualify for their first Champions League group stage, and despite the opposition they’ll be right up for it after knocking out Ukrainian giants Shakthar Donetsk in the previous round, who also struggled on the artificial turf in a 2-0 loss despite having the better share of stats on paper. Young Boys already have seven games under their belt this season and will be much more match sharp but Monchegladbach will pose a threat with the likes of Raffael, Stindl, Hazard (Eden’s younger brother) and Hermann.

The Swiss have played only five games at home in their history of the Champions League era, and until their clean sheet against Shakthar, they had conceded two or more in the previous four against Monaco, Spurs, Fenerbache and Crvena Zvezda. Despite the conceding, they have scored in every Champions League home game, and the last time they failed to score at home was the 20th September 2015 in a Europa League game against Qarabag.

Monchengladbach had a very tough ask last season with Manchester City, Juventus and Sevilla in their group, but still managed to pull out some decent performances with two draws against Juventus, a 4-2 win at home against Sevilla and even gave City a scare when they were leading 2-1 with 10 minutes to go in Manchester, but crumbled with three late goals for City.

You might find goals right across the qualifiers tonight but knowing a little about these two teams, it stuck out the most for me. Good luck if you follow.

    Champions League – 7:45PM

Couldn’t agree with you more about the artificial pitch info, I’ve kept half an eye on young boys in Switzerland for maybe 3 seasons, they’re obviously using it to great affect.

Going off topic a little here but similar circumstances: South American footie with the home team playing at altitude. Wished I’d of factored that in about 12 years back on around £80 of stake on 5’s 6’s 7’s 8’s, 9’s 10’s 11’s and one almighty 12 way acca. Small bets but shitloads of them. Took Ladcrookes for £1100 that day but Equador at home to Brazil spoiled my £25k party. Lesson learned.

Tough night of Championship football again.
    Shortlist for tonight:
    BRENTFORD v Forest
Forest’s finishing against Brighton was woeful. Do they have the firepower against an organised Brentford side? I think not.
    BRIGHTON v Rotherham
At 1/2 Brighton should win this comfortably and there is value in the Brighton win and over 1.5 at 10/11.
    WOLVES v Ipswich
Wolves playing well and at 6/5 offer serious value against a much depleted Ipswich side. However McCarthy’s return always provides a bit more of an edge and Mick’s teams are always capable of getting a result against us.
    Burton v Sheffield Wednesday
Burton have been leaking goals and have conceded at least twice in the three games they have played so far. This drew me in to Sheffield Wednesday over 1.5 TG at 6/5.
However with Burton also finding the net 7 times in the three games the no brainer of a selection is the 8/5 for BTTS and over 2.5 goals. Better value and for me the most obvious bet of the night.

    Over 1.5 accumulator:
    Brentford v Nottingham Forest
    Brighton v Rotherham
    Burton v Sheffield Wednesday
    Peterborough v Millwall

    Winner 2/1

    Brighton over 1.5TG
    Sheffield Wednesday over 1.5TG
    Millwall over 0.5TG
    Colchester over 0.5TG

    5/1, Betway

    • nathanufton 8 years ago

Brighton looked solid against my beloved Derby and we had home advantage, but Brighton dictated that whole match, they also raced ahead on corners, I think it was 7-1 in their favours. Might be worth looking into for a race to corners bet in Brighton’s favour.

    Brighton vs Rotherham

Agree with @craigyboy here, the value on offer for Brighton to win by a result other than 1-0 is great considering their price to win. Brighton have started the season well and looked impressive away at Derby when drawing 0-0. They were brilliant at home last season – hopefully their last two home wins in cup and league are indicative that that will continue!

Brighton to Win and O1.5 Match Goals @ 9/10 (Paddy Power)

    Wimbledon v Scunthorpe
    Peterborough v Millwall

It can be a risk to look for goals bets based on only a couple of results, but Scunthorpe’s early season form is worth noting. Their away form was erratic last season, ranging from excellent to dismal, but given Wimbledon’s initial struggles following promotion, there should be goals here. Likewise, Millwall have started the season strongly and visit an often free-flowing Peterborough side who score as well as concede. I’ll take the punt!

Well after a super Sunday were I superbly tipped 5 out of 5, your main man Max is back!!!! ;-) It is a tricky midweek card so nothing warrants a NAP or NB (not everyday is a NAP day)

In the Champions league Man city face a tough 1st leg trip to Steau who have made an unbeaten start to their new season. They beat Sparta Prague in the previous round thanks to goals from Nicolae Stanciu. My sources tell me that Chelsea and Arsenal have scouted the player and I am taking him to net at a massive 7/1 Unibet, he is as short as 2/1 with other firms. He is my value bet of the night.

In the Championship Brighton face Rotherham who I think will struggle this season. Brighton have scored 7 goals in 2 games, so I fancy them to win at 1/2 Coral. I also see them scoring O1.5g at 8/13 Bet365. I am tipping the same in the Norwich game, they were held 0-0 at the weekend but should beat Bristol City, who have made a great start to the season but this is their biggest test and I like Norwich at 5/6 various and to score 01.5g 17/20 at Hills. My last tip in the championship is Matt Smith to score at 11/4 Betway.

In the conference is top v second and Tranmere (my ante-post tip) I fancy them to get a result, the tip here is Tranmere O1.5g at 6/4 Coral.

    4PT Singles

    Brighton to win 1/2
    Brighton O1.5g 8/13
    Norwich to win 5/6
    Norwich O1.5g 17/20
    Tranmere O1.5g 6/4

    Smith to score 11/4 (2PTS)

    Max’s Value tip

    Stanciu to score 7/1 (1PT)

Listening to Steve Evans this morning on talk sport.
He thinks Huddersfield, and Bristol City will be hard nuts to beat in that division this season. Could be worth following both teams.
Brighton will beat Rotherham, and I would go over 2.5 goals,
    and HT/F/T.
    Good luck with your bets.

there a few egotistical people on this site. We all here to do same thing and that is win money from bookmaker, why cant we just all get along and respect each other opinion, even if we dont agree with it.

MAIN BET- AUSTRIA KAPFENBERG over 1.5 TGS 4/5.

SUMMARY: Difficult to find value in the overs market in this game, but KAPFENBERG are usually good for a goal or two home or away! Their home form isn’t as reliable as their away form, and with WATTENS an unknown quantity, but a handful of games, I’m plumping with goals from the home team.

Haha well done Wark. Set off home when it was 0-0, thought it was lost. Yer 2 bets came in cheers!!

Team with most 1st half corners sheff wed 6/5

Just noticed that BET365 have number of cards market in play for Man City match – the referee Orsata averages quite a high amount of cards and is quite card happy. This match is high stakes for both teams and can see some decent football and players giving a touch match. The line given is over 3.5 cards at 1.83. Seems good to me. Will wait for it to rise for a few mins to EVENS.

Yeah was thinking exactly the same before going with it mate my thinking was I couldn’t see Parnu scoring looking at the stats and they only conceded 4 once at home so far and Infonet only manage to score 4 once away from home too so was hoping got a 2 or 3 nil away win here but they rattled 5 in. Was going to pop this up on tomorrow’s/today’s (27th) thread but not up yet…

    BARNSLEY VS. QPR:

I’ve been impressed with QPR so far and they’ve shown that they certainly have the potential strength and mentality to be in the mix come the end of the season.

They visit The Tykes on the back of 4 straight wins having scored 2 or more goals in each.

Barnsley themselves have looked fairly bright but have conceded 2+ in 2 of their last 4 games and I can see them struggling to keep the attacking threat of JFH’s inpressive set-up at bay.

I don’t invest too much value in H2H’s unless recent but QPR certainly have the hoodoo over Barnsley – the Yorkishire side have lost all 6 of the last competetive match-ups with QPR claiming the points in each of their last 3 away games between the two!

One selection and it looks big to me:

    QPR OVER 1.5 TEAM GOALS…13/8

Good luck with all bets ?

  94. garry 8 years ago

I think Jordan has exploited the ‘Goal Before’ market well in the last few days and I think Hull City will have a good chance against Swansea on Saturday.
Hull have scored against Swansea in their last 2 visits to Liberty Stadium. 50th Minute in last game and 9th minute the game before that. Also scored against Leicester in the first half on their opening game. With Swansea selling Ashley Williams (supposedly their best player in defence)to Everton, Hull will have their chances.

    Swansea v Hull
    Hull Goal Before 79:00 @ 1.90

    Good Luck if you follow!

  95. jazzerbhoy 8 years ago

Big game for the hoops tonight.
It will be a whole lot tougher than what they will have experienced before, that’s for sure.
FGS Lustig at 20/1 and 7/1 any time looks a decent bet.
As I think he will be advancing forward more in this match.
Dembele at 5/4 anytime would also be worth a punt due to penalty kick duty.
    Good luck with your bets.
    COYBIG.
