LEICESTER got everyone off to a poor start on Saturday but Man United got us off to a flier yesterday.

It turned out to a great day for punters with winners left, right and centre and there were some spectacular successes on the Arsenal v Liverpool thriller.

My Super Single was Liverpool to score 2+ and my Top Treble was covered for no loss and just as well as Stromsgodset conceded a late equaliser against Start who played to a finish.

As Greg Browning said “you'll regret it if you didn't back United at evens at Bournemouth”. I liked Man United and that comment convinced to me to include them in the top tips. And Johnb's tips on the Liverpool game echoed mine and were spot on.

Jordan's on a great run too but it's not just about the three of us. There were brilliant tips put up by many contributors – too many to mention although let's give credit to HullShaker and Chris Guy – and having spoken to a few bookies today they confirmed all their Saturday's winnings were handed back yesterday.

Everyone can take a deep breath on a quieter Monday. Highlight of the night is Chelsea v West Ham and there are a few European games to look at ahead of a packed midweek card.
I've decided not to put up top tips for today and I'm already studying Tuesday's fixtures – of which there are too many.
I believe Chelsea will win but it's not a given in Antonio Conte's first game in English football against a West Ham side who shocked the big guns last season.
My only tip on the site is a challenge bet which is Chelsea draw no bet and St Patrick's draw no bet. Pays 1-2 if both win – void if both draw and a minute payout if one wins and one draws. This is only one to do if you've been following my latest £20 to £250 challenge.
There are plenty of tips on the site from the regulars if you must have a bet today – if not save the stakes for Tuesday.

Anyone else watching the 100m semi’s at 1 followed by the final? I was gonna go sleep but realized it was on soon, favorite event of the Olympics to be honest. Come on Bolt

    • Mr Fixit 8 years ago

I’ll be up but I might still be in the office if Murray doesn’t win this set.

    • elvis parsley 8 years ago

i think allan wells will win……

    • elvis parsley 8 years ago

      5-5 in the th now.
surely murray has broken this mans heart now.
      what a match this is.
hope those stay away players who we know are not here because they don’t get paid, hang their heads in shame after watching these 2 gladiators doing battle for the pride of being an Olympic champion..

      6-5 murray now.
if it goes to a 5th set its a case of survival of the the fittest

    • theboss 8 years ago

Yup was up last night till 3am watching super Saturday

      Men’s 100m should be good!

    • harrybaines 8 years ago

Im having to watch it on red button, Murray is on bbc 1. Over now so hopefully the coverage comes back so i can watch in HD

    • harrybaines 8 years ago

I think it’s so tight when they get disqualified for running just before they are meant to, they should get a second chance in my opinion. I was reading somewhere they don’t get DQ straight away & get another chance “Yellow Card ” but from what i have seen obviously isn’t true? Unless he has done it before this year, not sure

    • Mr Fixit 8 years ago

Used to do that – I think they changed it because there were so many false starts.

    • Johnb 8 years ago

      It’s called “One and done”
The 2011 world championships were the first major tournament to use it and Bolt got disqualified

It used to be a warning to the runner then a second false start was disqualification,
They then changed it to one warning for the whole field but that didn’t last long and the last change to One And Done was brought in because some runners were deliberately false starting to put pressure on the better runners
Bolt was actually the main advocate for the One And Done

Great stuff on the site yesterday Mr F – winners flying in right, left and centre, like you say too many to mention but proves once again the strength in depth that the forum offers.

There’s a fairly full Icelandic top-flight card tomorrow but it’s a funny match up of games and I’m giving it a wide berth – advice would be to keep stakes low if anyone dabbles.

I’ve an interest in one game tomorrow and it’s in the National League North where it always pays to follow the early form as there is inevitably 1 or 2 teams who kill it every year.

Darlington were one of those in the 2015-16 campaign but spunked it at the last and I believe they’ll be a force again this year.

    CURZON ASHTON VS. DARLINGTON 1883:

I cannot abide backing WDW markets but will take the 11/10 for a Darlo win with a look to taking them over 1.5+ team goals when the markets open up tomorrow.

Best of luck with all bets.

I hate backing WDW markets but there’s a

Was a brilliant day – would have mentioned you, Chris Guy and many others but the Murray match is taking up much of my attention as we try to get in the paper today. Match point at last.
And it’s all over – well done Murray. Great match.

    • elvis parsley 8 years ago

      murray wins, well done lad.
both these players can be proud of themselves, the embrace at the end spoke volumes of the respect they have fpr each other, quite emotional really.

murray has had a busy itinery recently, and still has the us open coming up, but I think the fact he carried the flag at the opening ceremony has given him a sense of responsibility, which he has taken on with great dignity.

      arise sir andy murray ????????

    • HullShaker 8 years ago

Cheers Mr F – Epic battle and well done Murray – just watched Bolt’s sprint…eased off with about 5m to go and spent a good 5 m turning to watch the big screen prior to that!

The man is a machine and will blow everyone away in the final…you can train all you like but you are never going to beat a physique like Bolt’s – unreal athlete and a true icon of sport.

    • Mr Fixit 8 years ago

Looks like Bolt can’t be beaten. Murray put us through the ringer but got there again.

  4. harrybaines 8 years ago

After watching the Semi’s i think Usain might be able to do something Special. Not had a bet on the Olympics and don’t really know much about it either but i just think this has a chance. This is going to be my only bet in the Olympics so going for a biggish stake!

100m World Record To Be Broken – Yes – 9/1

    Stake £100 – Returns £1000

Be a nice winner but not to fussed if it looses either. Might just be my lucky morning ;)

    • elvis parsley 8 years ago

£1000 challenge in one go harry.
      best of luck.
best chance is that gatlin will be so pumped up on amphetamines again, that he will get a lead and force bolt to run to the tape for once.
if bolt runs through the tape, the record goes.

      paddy power got daft bet.

1 blake to win w/o bolt and gatlin 2-1
      2 tricast bolt-gatlin-blake 2-1

why choose bet 2, its same odds but bolt or gatlin could pull up injured or get false start, so I will choose bet 1 for interest

    • harrybaines 8 years ago

I was looking at that bet as well pal, he should come next best after bolt/gatlin but i don’t know many of the other lads!

    • Johnb 8 years ago

Can’t believe what I am reading, do people actually believe world records are that easy to get, all the major points said it was impossible

    • harrybaines 8 years ago

I never once said it was easy. They are called world records for a reason, it had a chance and it wasn’t taken this time.

    • Johnb 8 years ago

It never had a chance if you take everything into account,
He broke the records in 2008 & 2009 which is when he was in his peak time

      100m runners don’t usually improve after 25yo

      200m runners don’t usually improve after 23yo

The One And Done start ruling now makes it harder for a 100m world record

The 100m isn’t Bolts best distance, the 200m is his best

The time between the semifinals and final also makes it virtually impossible for a world record in the final because there is no time to recover

Going back to the not improving with age, Gatlin is one of a very few sprinters that has improved with age but that’s usually unheard of

    • Mr Fixit 8 years ago

Before the final Bolt was asked about the world record and said he wasn’t interested – he said fans wanted that but all he wanted was the title.
He slowed down at the end of his semi and final so it was clear gold was what he was after.
Also says he’d have gone faster if there was a bigger gap between the semis and final.

SMALL STAKES- FC Blau-Wein Linz v AUSTRIA LUSTENAU to WIN 11/10.

SUMMARY: Exercising caution here as markets on game with Bet365 presently restricted , sometimes they add to card, if not all will appear inplay. Much prefer the Greg Browning’s way, goals goals and more goals! Anyhow, the new kids in town are currently getting a hard time of it! The one stand out thing about BLAU is how the hell do you replace a guy who scored 28 goals in 26 games! Goal machine Nigerian Y. Out banjo has packed his bags and flown East! Their opponents today are a more than capable Liga 1 outfit, last season finishing 2 pts outside a top three finish. LUSTENAU travelled reasonable well last season, and scored consistently . They should prove to strong for BLAU. I will take LUSTENAU over 1.5 TGS inplay if odds are good.

This is how Fifa operate and and Blatter would love nothing more to wipe the grin of some peoples faces, dirty slimeball.

Coral offering 33/1 for Costa to be sent off, has to be worth a tenner given his disciplinary record, West Ham are a physical team and it’s a Londkn Derby. Looks good value.

    • Mr Fixit 8 years ago

Costa will need to be on his best behaviour to impress Conte who has challenged him to get back to his best.
Don’t let me put you off though – as any player in any game can be sent off.

    • donny 8 years ago

Yeah true Mr F but I think there’s massive value in it and there’s more pros than cons. Players like noble, Reid and Carroll aren’t the type to pull out of a tackle and they’ll be trying to wind up from the off so 33/1 looks like a nice bit of value. What do you think of BTTS?!

    • Mr Fixit 8 years ago

Btts has a chance as always. Carroll seems to have been in good form in pre-season but don’t know about Payet’s fitness levels.
I prefer to see how Conte plays it – he’s always been a manager who values clean sheets.

    • Mr Fixit 8 years ago

Like Jordan I am focusing on tomorrow and a bet that holds a lot of value is FCK over 2,5 team goals.

They are playing APOEL a team that tend to lose away from their patch.

FC are flying in Denmark especially at Parken, where they are averaging 3.33 goals

They will know all to well how important a convincing win will be having to travel to Cyprus for the 2nd leg. Notoriously a difficult place to get a result as they found out in 2009.

Just look at Rosenberg in the last round against them.

I have been to couple of games at Parken and the place will be buzzing for the Lions to win.

2 goals is an absolute minimum if they want to play champions league football again and I reckon they will dominant , so I can see win to nil.

    Bets to consider…

    FCK over 1,5 goals NAP
    FCK over 2,5 goals
    FCK Win to nil

Good luck all with your bets today.

    • warktheline 8 years ago

@philwindy, as you may of guessed, I enjoy the Danish league! Great shout pal, I too, will look at this game. Will look closer tomorrow ?

    • philwindy 8 years ago

@warktheline what are your thoughts on the Aab vs Esbjerg game?

Looking at team news Aab have brought in Evasion Flores who plays for Peru. 23 year old who is rated pretty highly. He should see some action tonight, so + 2 team goals looks good for an accmy.
Or maybe O2,5 goals. Anyway I feel Aab should and will win this one.

Esbjerg still playing with the reserve keeper who has seen very little action the past 2 years.

      Thoughts appreciated?

    • warktheline 8 years ago

@philwindy, have looked at this game and should go over 2.5, but I’m not sold on it pal. Form looks a mixed bag all round! If someone guaranteed me an early goal, I’d jump on it, but I’ve had my fingers burnt on such games before that have ended goalless! Each to their own pal, if your confident back your own judgment . Good luck .?

    • philwindy 8 years ago

The Over 2.5 match goal treble paid over 4/1 yesterday and I’ll be having a similar dabble this evening but substituting match goals for team goals:

BRIEDABLIK (sound form and taking on basement boys Throttur)
CHELSEA (looking to impress the new gaffer and ought to have enough to exploit the Hammers defence)
DARLO (superior playing personell and facing a Curzon Ashton side who can’t defend)

    OVER 1.5 TGS…3.37/1

    Good luck ?

Repost from yesterday’s thread, just checked the odds and they have changed overnight from 13/20 to 8/13 and 12/25 to 11/20 respectively, meaning the double now returns 1.50/1 instead of 1.44/1:

    Swedish Allsvenskan – Monday

    GIF Sundsvall v Hammarby (18:00)
    Over 2.5 Match Goals 13/20

    Jönköpings v Östersunds FK (18:00)
    Jönköpings Double Chance 12/25

    DOUBLE
    1.44/1

    Done with Bet 365

    Reasoning:
    GIF Sundsvall v Hammarby
6/8 home games this season have saw 3 or more goals and the visitors have saw 3 or more goals in 6/8 games on their travels.

    Jönköpings v Östersunds FK
The home side have only been defeated 1/8 on their own patch this season and that was against the reigning champions.
The visitors have won 1/8 on their travels this season but have drew 4/8 of those games hence the double chance for the home side.

Looking at other markets for the GIF Sundsvall v Hammarby game tonight and seeing as I expect goals in this game, I’m looking at goalscorer markets.
One that really stands out is Kennedy Bakircioglu of Hammarby who since the restart of the Swedish domestic campaign at the start of July has scored in 4/5 games (the other game being a defeat to AIK in which Hammarby failed to score) that Hammarby have played since.
True 3/4 of them have been penalty kicks but that just raises the fact that Hammarby have won so many penalties in such few games, so that could also be something to look at.

    Selection:

Kennedy Bakircioglu (Hammarby) Anytime Goalscorer 15/8
(GIF Sundsvall v Hammarby, 18:00 ko)

    CHELSEA VS WEST HAM

I’m on Nemanja Matic to score first and anytime tonight. Sometimes I look at prices for players and I see one bookie offering much higher odds than others and I use that to my advantage. It doesn’t always pay off but take yesterday as an example, an 11/1 and 20/1 winner is always going to be lucrative. Everyone knows I like to back defenders and midfielders at big prices. You have the likes of Ivanovic and Terry for Chelsea but tonight I’m on Matic, purely due to his price. Most friend have him prices up at 14/1 for first Goalscorer yet Coral have him at 28/1. He’s also 9/1 to score anytime. In backing both and I’m also backing him to be shown a card @ 5/1. Good luck everyone.

    Recommended Bets:

NEMANJA MATIC FIRST GOALSCORER @ 28/1 (CORAL)

NEMANJA MATIC ANYTIME GOALSCORER @ 9/1 (CORAL)

NEMANJA MATIC TO BE SHOWN A CARD @ 5/1 (CORAL)

    • harrybaines 8 years ago

Not sure but every challenge makes over £500 profit every-time, no challenge has had less than £500 profit up to now. Majority of the time the profit is around £750. That’s the average profit range, but sometimes more and sometimes less but no less than £500 up to now.

I’m doing that on my next challenge, i am adding attempts in like you asked.

Thanks for that, i loved being watched.
