AUSSIE Kyle Anderson delighted his home crowd with a shock win over Stephen Bunting at the World Series in Perth and his reward is a quarter-final clash with defending champ Phil Taylor today.
Taylor thumped Craig Caldwell 6-1 in his opener and is 2-9 at bet365 to dispose of Anderson, who bet365 make a 10-3 chance.
Title favourite Michael van Gerwen faces fellow Dutchman Raymond van Barneveld and will be confident of extending the run that has seen him lose just one of their last 11 meetings. MVG is 2-9 at bet365 and Barney is 10-3 outsider.
The other quarter-final clashes are pretty decent too with Gary Anderson taking on Adrian Lewis and James Wade battling Peter Wright.
There's a big day of rugby union internationals as the build-up to the World Cup gathers pace. England host France, Scotland travel to Ireland, Argentina tackle South Africa and New Zealand lock horns with Australia a week after losing to them in Sydney.
The Rogers Cup tennis in Canada is down to the semi-final stage and there's also the likes of cricket and boxing on a packed Saturday of sport.
Good luck with your bets and let's hear your tips and thoughts.
Ni shi kori baby, ni shi kori oooooaaaooooh
Easy win and easy money! Should be an interesting match between Murray and Kei.
D’backs o8.5 hits @ 1.9 *lost*
Nationals @ Giants sailed over 7 runs but I didn’t take it, grr.
Tonight’s mlb
Red Sox o7.5 hits @ 1.66
Add
Indians o9.5 @ 1.83
Double @ 3.05
Yep. I haven’t watched much of either recently, but I fancy Kei instinctively. I’ve got Murray’s matches against Simon this year in mind, and his defeat to Coric- I feel like he’s not quite at his best- defeat to gabashvilli hints at that- and robredo muller and tsonga are compeltely different sorts of tests.robs a bit past it, he can beat both tsonga and Miller both with solidity and passing shots, but Nishis will play him From the baseline and his steadiness and backhand could be the difference I feel.
Will have a small go on Nishikori 2-0 @ 3/1 and leave it at that I think. His price to beat Rafa was great, 13/10 to beat Murray is pretty decent , but not as delicious looking for a single.

Betting in play on service breaks could be a potential goldmine in errani v halep. I expect holding serve to be rarer than breaking. Errani has nothing on either her first or second, halep has nothing on her second, and her firsts not brilliant. Both very good returners. Halep broke errani in about 70% of service games off the top of my head last time they met.
Just checked it out- 16 breaks between them in 20 total games when they met last!
I don’t think he’s going to win, obviously , but 19/1 for chardy d Novak tempts for a few spare quid. I remember being gobsmacked when Mr F’s daily record tennis chum tipped Tomic @ 18/1 to beat the champ at Wimbledon. This is slightly more likely to happen! Best of three for one thing, which makes a huge difference. Also, Tomic is passive as hell, whereas chardy is capable of redlining his return game. Gulbis pushed him all the way, earning 2 match points. Chardy will probably fare worse, but it’s a nice price
Ad, it wasn’t my chum – it was the tennis expert in the Racing Post.
Sorry, Yes, racing post. You’re absolutely right. I remember you drawing my attention to it- ‘chum’ perhaps an overly friendly term!
In unrelated news, what are your thoughts on Arsenal tomorrow @ 4/5? I feel a reaction I coming, but perhaps can’t be relied upon. Chamberlain again could be he man to cash in on. Delivered @ 8/1 anytime and 20/1 FGS In charity shield, and was the only player who looked really fired up against hammers
Ad, I don’t about Arsenal as they were so bad last season. They have a good record against Palace but I’d be happier taking both to score than an Arsenal win.
Red Sox with just the 26 hits tonight
I think BTS is risky personally as a switched on arsenal should shut palace out. might limit myself to chamberlain anytime and the straight arsenal win. Good luck whatever you go for, If anything
