I LIKE it when the Super Single goes on a good run and Dundee United's win against Motherwell made it three in a row.
My Trixie was let down by St Mirren but wins for Cardiff and Aberdeen meant it was money back on that one.
There have been some good team news put up over the last few days and again when it was useful reading the comments about ow weak Bayern Munich were going to be for the German Super Cup and I hope that put some people off backing them at Borussia Dortmund.
It's much quieter on Thursday and while I've put up a Daily Double but not doing anything else.
The team that stands out tonight are Basel to beat St Gallen in the Swiss league. Basel have won their first four league games, scoring 12 goals, and tackle a Saints side who have made an indifferent start. Basel are 4-9 at Ladbrokes and Coral and I may even look at Basel -1 for the Super Single with their home record reading for 7, against 1.
For a double add Swedes Kalmar against Henrik Larsson's Falkenberg. Kalmar remain unbeaten at home and while the head-to-heads between the sides are sparse it's interesting to note Kalmar have won three and drawn one out of five and have triumphed 3-1 in both meetings at home while scoring three goals each time.
Falkenberg have won just two of their last seven but should avoid a relegation scrap so don't have as much to play for as Kalmar who are eyeing a Europa League bid.
There have been plenty of tips on the site and good info as usual so have a look and see what you think. Odd Grenland are one who are being backed to beat Brann in the last eight of the Norwegian Cup and everything points to the home side playing their strongest side. That info tempts me to put them with Basel and Kalmar as a treble but I'm not putting it up as a tip.

Nathan, I’ve never clocked so many price changes as have been in place the last week or so. And it looks like shop assistants have in the main given up telling people. My advice to anyone putting on a shop coupon is to ask: Any price changes on that? The Dundee Utd to win price down to 8-11 was not worth taking when it had been 23-20.

Hi guys, am looking at bearum v tromso at 5pm. Tromso are on a brilliant run scoring plenty of goals and the reverse fixture was 5-2 in tromso’s favour. Tromso got relegated from top div and bearum got promoted from d3 to d2. Bearum have had a decent run of late, but against lower opposition, tromso’s results speak for themselves. Eastleigh vs Aldershot (7.45pm)
Both sides managed to win their opening games, both scoring 3 goals each but Eastleigh are the only ones who kept a clean sheet with Aldershot winning 3-1. I can’t seem to find stats of these two teams head to head meetings so I can’t give any info about that. Eastleigh had three different scorers in their opening game (Jai Reason (first), Craig Stanley and Ben Strevens) as did Aldershot (Brett Williams (first), Josh Scott and Jordan Roberts).

All signs point to an Eastleigh win for this game but I think Aldershot will have a better season than last time so won’t be any pushovers. Player/assistant manager for Eastleigh, Craig McAllister finished top goal scorer last season but I’m not sure how often he plays. Jai Reason looks like he could he in for a few goals this season.

odd grenland are fielding a strong team today. They havnt won the cup since 2000 but have record amount of wins for it. I have been told the straight win is definately worth it but handicap is risky. And also that a brann goal isnt to be ruled out. Corners are set quite high over 5 fh so watch inplay on that but they are very attac minded. Over 2.5 also should come in

Kochani on the other hand have had an awful campaign. Losing both games with 0 goals for, and 11 against. I would not be surprised if Medyk hit double figures. It’s the quarter final of the Norwegian Cup tonight as Odd host Brann. These are two Norwegian top flight sides aiming to progress in the competition but they are poles apart when it comes to form in the league. Brann have had a really tough season so far and with 19 games played they sit 5 points adrift of safety in 2nd bottom. And tonight they travel to Odd, a side who sit 2nd in the league and are having one of their best season in recent memory sitting 5 points clear in a European spot. It really is a gulf in class despite two teams from the same league and Odd will be looking to edge ever closer to silverware tonight. The two have already met at Brann this season and Odd stole a 0-1 away win. The hosts boast a number of goalscorers in their side and will be fielding a very similar starting XI tonight to that which beat Stromsgodset at the weekend. They are a strong team, especially here at home losing just once here at the Skagerak Arena this season. I just can’t see anything other than a win here tonight for Odd. Sporting Cristal vs Sport Huancayo (Peru Primera Division, 1PM)
I am tipping this game more on the basis of Huancayo’s terrible form recently in the Primera which sees them languishing at the bottom of the league and destined for the drop this season. In 11 games this season they have won only 2, drawn 1 and lost 8. They are even struggling to find form on their home soil which has always been a fortress due to the high altitude they play at. At the beginning of the season they lost a number of key players and their manager due to a financial crisis. This season it is still there to show with the current manager publically ousting their poor facilities and even lack of club doctor, and he doesn’t know where he stands in terms of the future. Lets take a look at Sporting Cristal then. This term they are sitting mid table in 8th but with a win today they could jump up into 6th. They won the league title 2 years ago but this season its been a lack of consistency which has cost them. They started poorly only winning one match in the first 6 but in the last 5 games they have picked up winning 3 of them. Today they play at home, something which in Peru is a big advantage, the only team to have won here this season is top of the table Melgar. Sport Huancayo come off the back of a good 3-0 win but I cant simply see them getting anything today against a team who on their day at home could smash Huancayo.
My tip is Sporting Cristal -1.5 Asian Handicap at 1.800
Dukla Prague U21’s vs Hradec Kralove U21’s (Czech Youth League, 1PM)
Whenever I see that the Czech u21 league games are being played I instantly think of goals, goals and more goals. Today we have one of my favourite teams of last year for backing goals and this is Dukla Praha u21. Last season they were averaging 4.3 goals per games and its something which has carried on this season with them being involved in 3-0 and 4-0 games. Hradec Kralove also last season were involved in some high scoring games averaging 3.5 goals per games. They themselves were involved in a 7 goal thriller on the opening day of the season. What also caught my eye on this game was the head to heads. In 4 games between the 2 there has been 18 goals, that averages at 4.5 goals when they face each other. I think we will be in for another explosive day today in terms of goals and I can see both keepers being very busy.
My tip is Over 3 Goal Line at 1.650

Lokomotiv haven’t conceded in their first two games and they did have a hat full of clean sheets last season but I’m going with gut and taking btts in what I believe is a good price @ EVS. This fixture finished 5-0 Lokomotiv but was almost a year ago.

Lokomotiv came so close to taking the title last season, and realistically it will be a huge ask for them to replicate the kind of year-long form with two of their main players missing and unlikely to return. However, they can rightly count themselves in the elite bracket of five or six teams that should have enough to comfortably beat the likes of Rostov and their midtable compatriots.
Loko’s threat is amplified by a Rostov defence which has leaked nine goals in just two matches, even if there were improvements at Kuban. That point will have worked wonders for the confidence of Miodrag Bozovic’s players, but Lokomotiv are a different animal and will be a tougher test. Kalachev is their go-to player at the moment, and they will look to him for set-piece delivery and the crucial final ball if they are to take anything away from Moscow. It is likely to be a step too far.

Whenever I see that the Czech u21 league games are being played I instantly think of goals, goals and more goals. Today we have one of my favourite teams of last year for backing goals and this is Dukla Praha u21. Last season they were averaging 4.3 goals per games and its something which has carried on this season with them being involved in 3-0 and 4-0 games. Hradec Kralove also last season were involved in some high scoring games averaging 3.5 goals per games. They themselves were involved in a 7 goal thriller on the opening day of the season. What also caught my eye on this game was the head to heads. In 4 games between the 2 there has been 18 goals, that averages at 4.5 goals when they face each other. I think we will be in for another explosive day today in terms of goals and I can see both keepers being very busy.

Alex, it has to be a no bet tip wise mate as I couldn’t put anybody onto a 1/3 bet. I tipped Joshua in rounds 1-2 at 1/4 before simply because I knew the fight would end as I was aware of the condition of both him and his opponent. Wilder will end it in 1 without doubt I reckon and the only feasible way it could go further, applies to 99% of fights, is if his opponent runs from him. With Bilel Mohsni available after suspension, if he plays then he is overpriced with 888 Sport. He is generally available at between odds of 9/1 and 12/1 to score first goal and around 5/2 and 3/1 to score anytime. I have no idea why 888 Sport have decided to give odds of 26/1 for Mohsni to score first goal and 11/1 for anytime. These are crazy prices. The 6ft 3 defender scored 10 goals in 28 matches last season and is always going to be a threat with set pieces. If Mohsni doesn’t start then 888 will refund stakes (in their rules). Stakes will also be refunded should he come on after the first goal has been scored. My advice would be to back the guy now cos if he’s confirmed in the team line up his price will tumble. Rory Loy is also a decent price at 11/4 with Betfred to score anytime. Coral offer the same bet at 6/4.

A word of warning for anyone backing Swansea. I was back in work today for A Level results, I lecture in Swansea, and all the regulars who went to the home defeat by Villareal last weekend said Swansea were completely hopeless and seem to be going for the long ball tactic this season. Whether this was a one off bad day at the office I don’t know as they have had some ok results in pre season too. There is a definite air of concern that this will be a long hard season for The Swans though unfortunately and there is very little faith in Gary Monk to do the job. Something to bear in mind early on until we start to get a clearer picture.

Derek when the line is a whole number ie over 3 goals, the stake is returned if it is exactly 3. The same for -1 asian handicap, stakes returned if exactly 1. When there are half numbers ie -1.5 or over 2.5 it is win or lose, the half must be covered too.

Hull KR v Wigan Warriors ko 8pm
Super League returns on Thursday with Hull KR needing a win to keep their playoff hopes alive. They face the defending champions Wigan Warriors at the KC Lightstream Stadium. Wigan are the 1/4 Favourites.
A Wigan victory would see them go top of the table, maybe for only 24hrs as St Helens are fancied to beat Wakefield tomorrow. The break has seen head coach Shaun Wane able to get back Eddy Pettybourne and playmaker Blake Green after a three months out. The game could be too soon for Michael McIllorum. The Robins have Rhys Lovegrove, Sonny Esslemont and Craig Hall back for Coach Chris Chester who will be looking to put one over his former side.
I don’t know what happens when Wigan cross the pennines they have lost 5 of their 6 trips to Yorkshire this season, so rovers fans will believe they can win this.
I think the break as suited Wigan better and they won the last 4 meetings and the last two on this ground. I believe Wigan will win but have no interest in backing them at such short odds. Instead I will be on the William Hill special of Charnley to score and Wigan win at 5/6. Charnley has topped the try scoring charts the last two years, but has only played 12 times this season through injury, yet as managed 15 tries.
In the try scorer market Blake Green as haunted is former club since he left scoring 4 tries in 4 games but having coming back from injury I will leave him off the list this week. Instead it will be a familiar name to anyone who follows my rugby tips full back Matty Bowen. He as improved as the season has gone on, 11 tries in 15 games including when these sides met earlier in the season. He 5/4 Ladbrokes.
Anyone looking for a small stakes big return option should look at Scott Taylor, he has only 4 tries but 3 of them have come in his last five games, in big wins over London, Catalan and Hull FC. I am tipping this game more on the basis of Huancayo’s terrible form recently in the Primera which sees them languishing at the bottom of the league and destined for the drop this season. In 11 games this season they have won only 2, drawn 1 and lost 8. They are even struggling to find form on their home soil which has always been a fortress due to the high altitude they play at. At the beginning of the season they lost a number of key players and their manager due to a financial crisis. This season it is still there to show with the current manager publically ousting their poor facilities and even lack of club doctor, and he doesn’t know where he stands in terms of the future. Lets take a look at Sporting Cristal then. This term they are sitting mid table in 8th but with a win today they could jump up into 6th. They won the league title 2 years ago but this season its been a lack of consistency which has cost them. They started poorly only winning one match in the first 6 but in the last 5 games they have picked up winning 3 of them. Today they play at home, something which in Peru is a big advantage, the only team to have won here this season is top of the table Melgar. Sport Huancayo come off the back of a good 3-0 win but I cant simply see them getting anything today against a team who on their day at home could smash Huancayo.

Banksie, bit in the Racing Post today about that. A company called Perform have an agency called Running Ball providing these stats by using 1,000 observers in 70 countries. Came to light as 2 games they provided these inrunning stats for did not actually take place and are being investigated!

Shaun, it’s the success rate of the tipster that creates the reaction to bet his posts. Previously posted or not. I have tried to beat those fu##ing bookies for 28 years with limited success until I found this site following Raal, Gregg and Tony to name but a few.
Spot on Banksie. Shaun tips some great stuff but if it is about praise then I would happily ask for none as simply tipping winners at a very decent rate and knowing plenty are following them is genuinely good enough for me. I know over 270 people, at least, follow my tips but not all post on here but does it really matter? If you are backing what I put up you are beating the bookies and some people are now doing it in a way they never have before, that is all that matters to me. Put your Ego first and you will never beat them.

I can see Shaun’s point, I don’t think he is having a go at people like yourself. It more the other users. People are often keen to be able to praise the top tipsters. Bit like trying keep in with the cool kids at school/prison* delete as applicable.
From time to time I see great successful write-ups from names I am unfamiliar with. Even if I didn’t follow the tip, occasionally I add a comment, commending the write-up and success of the bet.
It isn’t your fault Raal or that of other successful tipsters. It’s life I guess. But it only take a few seconds to write, unlucky or well done.
I noticed that Shaun was having a bad night, a few months or so ago. I also noted the lack of messages towards him, then out of the blue the person offering him some words of encouragement was a regular and successful tipster.
Blancos, I agree mate and if I see a winning tip I praise it. Not so much with Shaun as a lot of his are in the early hours and I am not on here but he knows I rate him and his MLS buddy Frank very highly. I have always got on great with Shaun T and always will.
I think you’re right Los Blancos – the way this forum is set up then lots of winning tips will inevitably be missed and I’m willing to bet that a lot of less regular users just search for Raal’s name so wouldn’t see anyone else’s tips.
However, as Raal said then it shouldn’t be a popularity contest and if you put up a tip and it wins I think you should just be content with that – if someone says congrats then so much the better but it’s not the point.

Still undecided mate. Looked at the BTTS but couple of things slightly putting me off- OKC have only conceded 2 in their last 8 home league games be it 1 of the goals was from Arizona. Arizona have only scored in 1 of their last 3 away league games and haven’t won away in 4. They also have the joint 2nd worst goals scored record overall in the league (home and away)
OKC have a goalscorer in form- Kyle Greig who has scored 4 goals in his last 3 games (all away from home) and is 7th in the top goalscorer league table with 8 goals in total, top one has 14. Arizona have no one listed in that table.
So I don’t know mate, I’m a bit lost at the minute.
Banksie- flip side to it could be Arizona have already scored at OKC- last time out and in the 3 games they have played this year (2 at Arizona, 1 at OKC) 2 games have seen BTTS and 1 over 2.5. You could say 2 over 2.5 if you count the extra time goal.

I don’t know why there’s general debate if I’m honest mate. Oh I know, but when I joined, I remember there was a whole thing of Frank getting praise ahead of you. And people perhaps not appreciating what you do.
I understand Ricky’s (I believe) frustration too. I understand that people want to follow certain people’s tips but to me sometimes people don’t appreciate enough to look through 500 comments which takes probably 20 minutes, it’s no hardship, then you can pick, it’s a type of research. As I said, if I hadn’t followed Andy for the first time today, it would have been losses for me. Everyone just want a quick solution so only look for the big names, which is understandable but sometimes harsh.
Shaun, I haven’t been here for ages, pulled out some beauties today, so I praised myself. I rarely got praise from others beforehand, and I’m not blowing my own trumpet but you know yourself what my hit rate was like for most Premier League games. The best praise you should receive is from yourself for picking some of the winners you do pull out. If people don’t comment, whats the fuss? As long as your account looks better than before you tipped it then it’s all good mate.
Not always going to happen that way, but you get my drift.

people on this forum stick out for various reasons. some for their tips, some for their chat an some just do. It’s a great melting pot here. I am now a night owl but I often notice as the forum dies down after 10 or 11pm, you and Shaun T’s chat. You have good tips but you also come across as decent and fair minded human beings. That is the better than me praising your more than worthy tips.

Bic Boi- Leon still have a good chance of scoring I think. The Columbian game looks tight but you’d have to favour the team with 11. It may be close though, they really needed to score as soon as possible after the red- you can see the home team parking the bus as much as possible now. Like I say you’d still favour America being 1 player up. Stats don’t look to un-equal though. Hard one to call, GL to you.
