2000 Guineas 2017

Blue Point 14-1 racebets

Johnb says: “I have already advised Churchill for next year’s 2000 Guineas & Derby – he has been really impressive this season and my view is he will get even better next year.

“Blue Point on the other hand is harder to call for how he will progress next year. If he trains on then in my view it’s a straight fight between Blue Point & Churchill but in the Derby Churchill is the only horse for me – he gives me the same excitement as Golden Horn did.

“But to answer my question earlier the most impressive horse I have seen this year is BLUE POINT with Churchill and Annie Power a close second and third.”

    Olympics
    Men’s Sprint Final Sunday 9:04pm
    Best of three races

Jason Kenny (GBR) v Callum Skinner (GBR)

    CALLUM SKINNER 5/2 betfred

Jason Kenny is the right favourite but I would have Callum Skinner as favourite if that makes sense, I see him as the more powerful, quickest rider but also the most intelligent rider,
Jason Kenny for how good he is, showed a weakness in his semi final when he was outwitted in the first of three races and I think Callum Skinner can do the same

I fancy it will go to a deciding race.
      Sky bet go
      Kenny to win 2-1 , odds 4-1
Skinner to win 2-1, odds 5-1.
Cannot see odds anywhere for final to go to 3 races, so a tenner on each will return 50 or 60, or 6-4 or 2-1 for my £20 stake

From what I’ve seen it’s Kenny for me but I’m no expert and Skinner’s having a great games.
        Chris Hoy goes for Kenny.

10,000m too slow, the Kenyans know they need to make it a fast race and it’s a slow race, no intelligence whatsoever

      PLaying into Farah’s hands then.

      • Profile photo of Johnb
        Johnb 4 months ago

Those runners are so stupid, race after race they keep making the race slow, you have to make it a test of stamina to beat Mo, they have to learn to run as a team and sacrifice a couple of runners so one can get gold

          Mr Fixit 4 months ago

Fair enough but he credit to Farah – he must scare them witless and that was another great run.

        • Profile photo of elvis parsley

They have tried that before and Farah still won.
The guy fell today and still won.
What self respecting athlete would give up their chance of gold for a team effort against farah.
Fact is he is the best, and though he is as dull as one of Roy hodgsons press conferences, he has brought it home for Britain.

mr f appreciate your main concern is the football thats your thing. But if you start a racing thread it should also be appreciated and controlled.
