Looking forward to the tennis tonight… few good games on but finding a winner or two looks tricky.. Any thoughts on the Nadal game AD or anyone? Nishikori on the up…..Nadal seems to be on the slide…. but has never lost to the Jap, tough one to call

    boxing tonight:

main bet: steve cunningham on points: evens.

tarver has beaten c/d level opposition at heavyweight, he’s nearly 47 and looks in terribile shape for this, however most boxing analysists reckon he’ll win by KO.

Cunningham has been robbed by many decisions throughout his career, he doesnt carry much pop in his punch and looks to outjab his opponents. he has beaten the better opposition at heavyweight.

the fact there is no drug testing for this + the fact tarver has been caught cheating and banned before, worries me slightly, its a 50/50 fight however considering cunningham always is in great shape and is 7 years the junior with a whopping 7 inch reach advantage and a 1 inch height + he has an iron chin.. these advantages leads me to believe he will win a close decision.

    low stakes:
    marco huck points 6/4

Afternoon Guys Leeds Rhinos v Wigan Warriors

The game of the super 8s takes place at Headingly tonight with the top two in the league going head to head, a win for Leeds and you cant see them being out the top two come the knockouts, while a Wigan win sees them join Leeds at the top of the table. Leeds are the 4/9 favourites.

Leeds Rhinos will be without hooker Paul Aiton but they do have Stevie Ward and Mitch Achurch back tonight.
Wigan Warriors will be without the league top try scorer Joe Burgess and centre Dan Sarginson, while they have added forwards Ryan Sutton and Ben Flower too the squad.

I have said over and over Leeds have the best backline in the game and have blown everyone away except Wigan. These two sides have met 3 times already this season with the Warriors winning 2 of those games. Wigan have the second best defence in the league while Leeds have the attack in the completion. Leeds will try and get their off loading game going and stretch Wigan out wide. It is interesting Wigan have added two forwards to their squad, they have a young fast mobile pack and they will try and run over their more older and experience counter parts. I am going for a shock tonight, I think Wigan may win this but I think they can stay inside the 6pt handicap. It is 11/10 Bet365.

In the try scorer market I like Leeds full back Zak Hardaker to score, he is in fine form and can score from anywhere on the pitch he is 7/4. For Wigan like last week I am sticking with Dom Manfredi he has a superb try scoring record this season and with Wigan going up the middle they will utilize their run around play with Bowen coming into the line. Manfredi is 5/4. Odds with Skybet.

Like last night I am taking a drop goal, it could be a close game, the wet weather may help Wigan slow the play down and the wet ball could hamper the Leeds off loading game. Kevin Sinfield and Matty Smith are both capable of slotting over a 1pointer. It is 3/1 Skybet.

    WIGAN +6pts 11/10
    HARDAKER TO SCORE 7/4
    MANFREDI TO SCORE 5/4
    DROP GOAL 3/1

Good luck if your having a bet

I feel that Kei Nishikori should be too solid and too good for an improving but still not quite there Nadal. I’ll be on the most famous man in Japan @ 10/11 and 2-0 @ 2/1. Good luck.

I’m also on nishikori for the overall win @ 13/1

DG for 2nd night running, well played Chief and if Wigan had a kicker would have been a stellar night
    Cheers

    • thechief 9 years ago

Outlaw, cheers mate, just posted same thing. Some poor referee decisions tonight could have made it closer for Wigan and brought in the handicap, but cant complain decent night at the office :)

    Result Leeds 25 – 18 Wigan

It was 2 out of 4 tonight with good odds of 3/1 and 5/4, it could have been 3 winners but Wigan missed 3 kicks at goal to bring in the handicap which fell an agonisingly 1pt short of an 11/10 winner, but still profit made, playing level stakes. It is warming up nicely were I say the sports thread the home of the winners and taking the bookies money :D

    MANFREDI TO SCORE 5/4 WON
    DROP GOAL 3/1 WON
