ONE Championship club is guaranteed a spot in the William Hill Scottish Cup semi-final as Hibs meet Falkirk in the first semi-final at lunchtime today.
Hibs, who lost the 2012 and 2013 finals, are 20-23 at boylesports to beat Falkirk inside 90 minutes and 2-5 to qualify for the Final. Falkirk are 10-3 at bet365 and 7-4 with Hills to progress.
Games between the pair this season have resulted in two 1-0 Falkirk wins and a 3-3 draw at Easter Road in January. It was also 3-3 when they met in the semi-final at Hampden two years ago and Hills go 4-1 on five match goals plus.
Hibs have bounced back from three defeats to beat Dumbarton then Hearts and crucially in nine Scottish Cup meetings have never lost to Falkirk.
The Bairns' play-off hopes are almost over after back-to-back defeats and I fancy the Easter Road men to make another final by beating their rivals for the first time this term.
Here are some specials from the tournament sponsors:
Hibs came back from 3-0 down to
take the match to extra time and
eventually win the tie two years ago.
HIBS TO COME FROM BEHIND AND WIN 7-1

when these sides met in the league.
CUMMINGS TO SCORE 2 OR MORE 13-2

HIBS TO SCORE IN BOTH HALVES 7-4
Falkirk have beaten Hibs twice
this season without conceding a goal.

Craig Sibbald opened the scoring in the

of the match when these sides met
in December. He also scored against
Brechin in the Cup.
