THE only online bookie that lists SPFL and Scottish Cup first-scorer prices for every game are McBookie.
McBookie‘s Damian Walker gives his first-scorer tips every weekend and challenges punters to pick their own.
There were two correct entries last week and after a toss of a coin duck57 is the winner for Brechin’s Robert Thompson at 13-2. Email [email protected] to claim your prize.

He says: Last week I said Stranraer would run out comfortable winners over Airdrie and they duly obliged with a 4-0 win but sadly I didn’t pick the first scorer.
Having made the case against Airdrie I was surprised to see them chalked up at odds on to beat Stenhousemuir. Form figures for Airdrie’s last nine games read LDLWDLLDL – taking just six points from a possible 27 and scoring just two goals in six games.
Stenny are hardly world beaters but I find it hard to understand why they are 17-5. So for first-scorer value I’m on Colin McMenamin at 13-2.
It’s not often I go into the Premiership for but Motherwell are the form team. They have won their last five matches, including a 2-1 defeat of second-place Aberdeen.
By contrast Celtic have won just half of their last six Premiership matches, drawing the other three, including a 0-0 stalemate at Dundee in midweek.
So would you want to take 1-3 about Celtic when they have a 50 per cent win ratio from their last six matches and are travelling to play a team in top form bidding for their sixth straight win?
My answer would be a definite no so I’m digging out a Motherwell first scorer. Well’s Louis Moult has scored 18 goals from 36 matches this season which is a terrific strike rate. He is also in good recent form with five goals from his last six games. McBookie make him 9-1 to score the first goal and that looks good value.
The final selection is our old favourites Arbroath who I said I was sticking with at the end of the season under new boss Dick Campbell.
Arbroath face Annan on Saturday and Smokies striker Bobby Linn is 11-2 with McBookie which will do for me.
Can you find a winner this weekend?
McMenamin (Stenny) 13-2
Moult (Motherwell) 9-1
Linn (Arbroath) 11-2
