APR 6: MR FIXIT’S TOP TIPS

TopTips_10Bet

IT’S another busy day in England with Palace hosting Man City and loads of games in the Football League.

I’ve posted a separate preview on the Premier League game and have picked out my best bets from the lower leagues.

On Sunday Valencia beat the Super Single but my 4-1 Top Treble came up thanks to Bordeaux, Hertha Berlin and Barcelona.

Easter Monday sees the continuation of the usual frantic fixture list and it’s worth remembering fatigue may play a part with some sides. We’re getting to the business end of a hectic season now and I’m focusing on sides with plenty to play for.

Most Championship sides were in action on Friday and on Monday the Super Single was between Brentford and Derby – and in the end I’m going with Derby who are a slightly bigger price.

Derby are down to sixth after a run of seven games without a win so they need to get back on track now and a visit to Wigan gives them their best chance. Wigan’s run of four away wins in a row was ended at Middlesbrough on Friday but at home they can’t buy three points as we know only too well.

They have no victories under Malky Mackay at the DW and their last home success came back in August against Birmingham. Derby were held 2-2 by Watford on Friday and it wasn’t a great result against 10 men.

Steve McClaren, without George Thorne but possibly with top scorer Chris Martin back, will be looking for his men to take advantage of a match against relegation fodder. Derby are a best 13-10 at BetVictor and that’s half the Super Single.

Start the Top Treble with Brentford at home to Nottingham Forest. Dougie Freedman’s side had made a decent fist of making the play-offs but all hopes are now over after Friday’s tame home defeat to Wolves.

Brentford in the meantime were hammering Fulham 4-1 away and while their home form has sometimes been patchy I expect them to make it a happy Easter with their second big win in four days.

Add Wolves who lie eighth but are level on points with Derby and Brentford. Wolves are unbeaten in five at Molineux, winning four of to nil and scoring 15 goals in the process. £2million signing Benik Afobe, Bakary Sako and Nouha Dicko form a top attacking trip and they should beat a Leeds side whose five-match unbeaten run was ended by Blackburn on Saturday.

Assistant manager Steve Thompson has been suspended which hasn’t helped the mood at Elland Road and there are now question marks over the future of popular boss Neil Redfearn. The manager has allegedly been told not to pick top scorer Mirco Antenucci because it could trigger a contract extension if he scores 12 this season. Wolves look worth backing at a best 7-10 at 888sport.

Complete the treble with Bury at home to Morecambe. Bury have won their last four to climb to fourth and are just four points off an automatic promotion spot with a game in hand. Morecambe have drawn their last three 1-1 but are without a win in eight and I like Bury at 3-4 with bet365.

There’s a danger of putting on too many bets today and I’ll be staying away from that. However, I’m doing a 1pt line on favourites Bury, Norwich, Bournemouth, Bruges and Anderlecht. That pays 13-1 at Ladbrokes.

4pts Super Single

Derby (3pm)
(13-10, BetVictor)

3pts Top Treble

Brentford (3pm)
Wolves (5.15pm)
Bury (3pm)
(9-2, bet365)

1pt Favourites

Bury
Norwich
Bournemouth
Wolves (5.15pm)
Bruges (1.30pm)
Anderlecht (5pm)
(13-1, Ladbrokes)

Super Single April record
4 bets (3 losers, 1 winner)
Profit: -4.1pts

I have a very good feeling about tomoro, i agree with mr fix it for DERBY AT 6/5 they have most of there players back from injury and are playing against Wigan at home Derby need to win this game to even stay in they play off spot I’m then adding fleetwood 19/20 against surely relegated Yeovil! Fleetwood are at home at have and have no injurys to worry about If they win this game they can go 1 point of they play offs, I’d also add Shrewsbury to win at 17/20 against Mansfield! If Shrewsbury win they go top of league and are playing very strong and finally Barnet 1/2 against 3rd from bottom of Barnet win they also go top of the league, finally another good shout is Man City at 4/6 they are currently 4th and if they win they go back second wich they need to win!
The 4 pay odds of 10.9/1 with sky bet

    CHAMPIONSHIP PICKS

    Wolves vs Leeds

My hometown football club welcome Leeds to the Molineux. Wolves are in fine form with 3 wins in a row and now sitting in 8th position level on points with Ipswich and Derby with only 7 points seperating them from league leaders Middlesbrough and only goal difference keeping them out the top six.

Based on the last 8 matches Wolves actually sit 2nd in the form table ( 8 played, 5 won, 2 drawn, 1 lost), behind league leaders Middlesbrough and could realistically be in line for a chance in the play offs with the players and the manager Jackett knowing that they must continue their form and push for wins.

Wolves home form is strong winning 4 out their last 5 home games and a draw against Watford. In those last 5 home games the have also managed to score 2 or more goals and they are not lacking the firepower at the moment with man of the moment Afobe. Since Afobe moved to Wolves from Arsenal in January the youngster has been on fire, scoring 19 goals in all competitions and scoring in Wolves last game against Forest to secure a 2-1 win.

Now onto the away team Leeds who lost at home to Blackburn on Friday with midfielder Rodolph Ausitn red carded in the first half. Prior to that game Leeds were awa y to Blackpool in a game in which everyone including the Blackpool fans expected Leeds to win.
The Leeds camp itself has been the news last week with the managers expressing his concerns that he felt he was being undermined by the clubs owners after his assistant was suspended for underperforming.

H2H, wolves earnt a 2-1 against Leeds in the reverse fixture t with leon Clarke sealing a late winner, and prior to that the last H2H saw a 2-2 draw.

I cant see past a Wolves win here, taking everything into account – its worth keeping an eye on the early championship games tomorrow as teams above wolves may slip up and if so Wolves will no doubt be eager to capitalise.

    PICKS

WOLVES TO SCORE 2 or more goals – 4/5 B365
    WOLVES WIN – 4/6 B365
    AFOBE TO SCORE ANYTIME – 5/4 b365

    —————

    BRENTFORD VS NOTTINGHAM FOREST

I mentioned in my Friday championship picks that Brentford had the highest BTTS record in the league at 62% and my pick for their last game game in trumps with btts and over 2.5mg.

They played away superbly against Fulham and left craven cottage with a win and banging in 4 goals whilst also conceding.

That win means their last 6 games have now seen BTTS AND OVER 2.5MG land and I am happy to take some more of the same against Forest.

Forest scored against wolves In their last game in a late 90th min goal, and wolves defence has been pretty tight all season so scoring isnt too much of an issue for Forest proven by their last 6 away games where out of 5 they have scored against their opponents.

H2Hs also look promising for goals and BTTS with the last two h2h seeing this bet land (1-3, 2-4 ).

The reverse fixture Brentford won, scoring 3 past forest in November and yes you have guessed it leaking a goal in the process.

    SO what do we know….

BRENTFORD ARE SCORING FOR FUN HITTING 9 GOALS IN THEIR LAST 3 GAMES BUT ALSO CONCEDING IN ALL 3.

FOREST HAVE SCORED IN 5 OF THEIR LAST 6 AWAY GAMES AND THE H2Hs POINT TO MORE OF THE SAME.

    Picks

    BTTS AND OVER 2.5MG 21/20 B365

BRENTFORD OVER 2.5 TEAM GOALS 12/5 B365 **Small stake**

    ————————
    BOURNEMOUTH VS BIRMINGHAM

Bournemouth welcome Birmingham in a game that BOURNEMOUTH need to win to keep up the pressure for promotion after their 1-1 draw to Ipswich. I stated in my preview I felt Ipswich were tough to beat at home and I reckoned they would end with at least a point and I was right.

Now Bournemouth are on home soil in a game they should win. Their home form has been fairly solid with 3 home wins in their last 3 scoring 3,4 and 2 goals respectively.

Birmingham won at home on Friday and will be boosted by that win, their away form however is not as good as their home form. IN their last 4 away games they have conceded 12 goals, with Ipswich and Brighton putting 4 past the Blues defence.

I think Bournemouth will no doubt be after Blues blood tomorrow and I am expecting them to get back to winning ways in style against Birmingham.

To reinforce this we need to look at the last 2 h2hs which read as 0-8 and 0-4 Bournemouth winning both.

The 8 nil thumping was back in oct with a early red for Birmingham opening the flodgates. obviously a lot has changed since then with Blues appointing a new manager in the form of Gary Rowett soon after.

I am however going for more goals in this fixture which leads me to my picks:

BOURNEMOUTH WIN AND OVER 2.5MG @ EVENS b365
    BOURNEMOUTH OVER 2.5 TEAM GOALS @ 11/8 b365

    http://selectabet.net/2015/04/05/easter-mondays-over-2-5-goals-treble-tips/

If, like me, you’re in a chocolate-induced coma what better way to blow away the Easter sugar rush with a winning goals treble that’ll almost treble your money?

We’ve picked out three great looking bets to get stuck in to this Easter Monday; two from Denmark and one from Holland.

The Danish Second Division West is in action at 11:30am so you’ll need to be on this early and get your day off to a flier. We’re looking at golas galore in Kolding BK v Naestved and Ringkobing v Marienlyst.

Firstly, Kolding BK need to be opposed every time they step on to the pitch. Bottom of the league, one win in 17 and have lost 58 goals. They host second-place Naestved who’ve won both their games since the return from a winter break, add to their impressive form pre-Christmas. The away side should win this comfortably and we’re confident they’ll grab a few goals. The bookies agree and make over 2.5 goals just 1/4 (Ladbrokes). Paltry odds but a good first leg of a treble.

In the same league table-toppers Marienlyst visit Rongkobing aiming to maintain their lead at the top. They’ve the best away form in the division (7 wins from 8) and are the top scorers in the division scoring an average of 2.7 goals per game. Ringkobing conced goals at a rate of 2 a game so again we expect goals. Best odds in this one are 4/9 again at Ladbrokes.

Complete the treble by going over 2.5 goals in Holland. Top OSS (5th) host NEC (1st) in the Dutch Eerste Divisie. NEC have scored a fantastic 88 goals in 32 matches – that’s 2.75 per match. Whilst Top OSS aren’t quite as prolific (68 in 32), they do concede at a high rate for a team in the top 5 (54 in 32). Both sides are top of the form table and when they last met scored 4 goals in a 3-1 NEC win. Over 2.5 goals is 1/2 at Ladbrokes.
    Over 2.5 Goals Tips Treble

Kolding BK v Naestved (11:30) Over 2.5 goals

    Ringkobing v Marienlyst (11:30) Over 2.5 goals

Top OSS v NEC (13:30) Over 2.5 Goals

    Treble pays £27.10

today see’s the welcome return of the league of goals in Norway, this league keeps the goal betters amongst us in business over the boring summer months.
as its the 1st game will be take one of the games as part of todays double, low stakes

valarenga v stromsgodset both to score 8-13
wigan no clean sheet v derby 3-10
tenner pays 21 quid, just over evens

valarenga scored in 27 of last 28 home league games.
stromsgodset beat valarenga 3-0 home in a friendly last month, recent head to head has seen a few win to nils, but as I said small stakes as its the 1st match of the season.

wigan are crap and derby should score.

  12. Jordan 2 years ago

The 9/1 is just an interest bet darran mate. Middlesbrough have conceded two or more in 3 of 4 away games and Watford are tied for the most home goals in the Championship with Norwich. It’s 11/8 on its own for a reason but it’s not impossible.

like I said its a league for the boring summer months, especially this year with no major tournaments on, though I think the copa America is in june, not sure what that’s like for goals.
the Swedish league aint bad for goals either, but going on last season I wouldn’t touch the finnish league, those 4-30 kick offs burned my fingers a few times last summer

    The French :)

Put £2 on all 8 French Ligue 1 games to be over 2.5 goals

    650/1 :)

Was waiting for the PSG but by that point was able to cover to ensure a terrific profit regardless!

Been close a few times this season but finally nice to land one! :)

  22. craigyboy 2 years ago

Mr F Afobe isnt on loan, he was a £1.5m signing in January and I would say hes now worth £10m….oozes class! You can stil get Wolves at 7/4 to make the play offs! I genuinely think if we can keep everyone fit and carry on this form and consistency we will not only make the play offs but we will be celebrating promotion. Wolves are a very good price tomorrow and at 5/6 for two or more goals looks like buying money.
Write Wolves off at your peril…..capable of beating anyone on our day! Just a matter of time before we break into that top six.

    • ches501 2 years ago

      Thebettingman. Re: Rochdale.

Watched Rochdale play PNE on Friday. Good passing / pressing team who bossed the first 30 mins and could easily have scored a couple of goals in the game. PNE took control in the 2nd half as Rochdale were unable to play there pressing game for the full 90 mins. In my opinion the odds of 10/11 look more than decent and based on what I saw I will be including as part of my acca

    Thanks Hampy and Horsing Around!

I didn’t watch the game from the beginning so didn’t really know how the Jets were playing. They didn’t have a bad second half though and only some excellent last ditch Glory defending prevented the Jets from scoring.

At least you won your over 1.5 goals in the 2nd half bet Hampy mate!

I know a lot of us go with over 2.5 match goals in the Dutch games I do feel it’s a lot to ask in all games although it has come close a few times. Over 1.5 match goals in my opinion has a decent chance of landing though still wouldn’t be for biggish stakes by any means more just an interest before the main bets this afternoon

  72. Scott 2 years ago

    Today’s speculative bet :
    Derby 11/10
    Fleetwood EVS
    Bury 4/6
    Shrewsbury 10/11
    Bristol Rovers EVS
Any 4 plus all 5 at 1 point for total bet of 6 points
All 5 returns just over 96 points, minimum 4-fold returns 12.7 points

Today’s ‘saver’ bet to cover above 6 point outlay :
    Bournemouth 1/2
    Norwich 2/5
    Barnet (12.45 KO) 4/9
4 point treble returns just over 12 points

    All with Wullie H

jim burnside, yesterday’s choice wasn’t strange and it lost. I just believe this is a must-win for Derby and Wigan’s disastrous home form has to be considered. The great thing is you don’t have to back it.

      • nathan ufton 2 years ago

1st half was aweful for both teams but Derby have upped the tempo a couple of gears this 2nd half.

I opted for a 4 fold of Derby win 13/10, bournmouth -1 a/h @ 1.5, and chesterfield to score 1/3 and burton to score 1/9.

if it stays the same its a £90 profit, if bournmouth get another, it brings in the a/h.

  79. craigyboy 2 years ago

I agree Jim, I wouldn’t be touching Derby today although they are due a win.

I was also on Raal’s golfing pick but what made it sweeter was that I had a couple of points on JB Holmes E/W. I never watch golf but when I saw that it had gone to sudden death and JB was in with a shout I had to watch!

One bet for me today that I am willing to take a chance on. They require the points to stave off the other Champions League contenders as opposed to realistically challenging Chelsea any further.

    Great site tony cheers.

Ok lads so here are the Dutch Juliper league games and the teams overall % Over 2.5 goals and 1.5 goals
    Eg:
Achill 62/84 v Maas 62/84 so Achill has over 2.5 goals in 62% of games and over 1.5 in 84% of games this season (same as Maas – coincidence!)
Here are the other games :
    Re Graafschap 66/88 v fc voll 75/88
    Fc Eindhoven 62/84 v telstar 56/88
    Fc oss 81/88 v NEC 66/81
    Twente 62/75 v Emmen 81/97
    Fortuna sitt 47/66 v den bosch 59/81
    Helmond 81/84 v Almere 78/81
    RKC 62/88 vs VVV 44/66
    Sp. Rotterdam 59/78 v Roda 66/88

  97. InterYerNan 2 years ago

What fantasy football site do you use Alves mate? Im on the barclays one – cant change your captain once you have selected your team for a gameweek. QPR play again tomorrow I think v Villa so hopefully Austin gets a few 😉

  98. AndyC 2 years ago

So by my crude maths I predict in order of probability the matches that are most likely to see goals:
    1. Helmond v Almere
    2. De Graafschap
    3. Fc oss
    4. Twente
    5. Achill v Maas
    6. Sp Rotterdam
    7. Fc Eindhoven
    8. RKC
    9. Fortuna sitt
I came to this conclusion by adding together the 4 percentages I gave for each game in the comment above. Like I said, crude, but worth a try, I’ll wait a while to see if someone has a better method before I commit!

today see’s the welcome return of the league of goals in Norway, this league keeps the goal betters amongst us in business over the boring summer months.
as its the 1st game will be take one of the games as part of todays double, low stakes

valarenga v stromsgodset both to score 8-13
wigan no clean sheet v derby 3-10
tenner pays 21 quid, just over evens

valarenga scored in 27 of last 28 home league games.
stromsgodset beat valarenga 3-0 home in a friendly last month, recent head to head has seen a few win to nils, but as I said small stakes as its the 1st match of the season.

wigan are crap and derby should score.

WINNER..WONT GET RICH QUICK, BUT OVER EVENS IS SUPER SINGLE TERRITORY I BELIEVE.

    Watford V Middlesborough – English Championship – 12:30 – 06/04/2015

Watford sit in 4th one win away from the top the spot, if they can beat Boro today it would send a real message to the league but they haven’t beaten any of the sides ahead of them this season which has to be a concern. However if they could break that record today, this is the time of the season to do it. They have won 5 of the 8 games and have only lost once to a late winner at home to Ipswich. 3 of their last 4 at home have seen them take all 3 points and they have a record of 12/3/5 (20) at Vicarage Road making them the 3rd best in the league on their own turf. Watford score goals and have 80 for the season in 40 games, averaging 2 a game, they’ve netted 44 in 20 at home. They are capable of conceding also and have done 48 times this season with 21 coming at home. Watford rarely fail to score in front of their home fans and have got at least one in 16 of the 20 although, they rarely keep a clean sheet having only managed to on 5 occasions. 13 of their 20 at home have gone over 2.5 goals and watford themselves have scored 2 or more in 10 of 20. They have a 3.25 goal to game ratio at Vicarage. Matej Vyrda who scored the opener last time out at Derby is doubtful and if he doesn’t start Anya will likely come in, Ahmen Abdi and Fernando Forestieri could return and are both key men. Inform Strikers Troy Deeney and Odion Ighalo are both fit and able, Deeney has 19 and Ighalo 18 this term. Marco Motta will not play after being sent off in the last game.

Middlesborough have defied expectations this season, many pundits tipped them for a top half finish but very few mentioned playoffs, let alone champions. However the club from the Riverside are sitting pretty at the top and are now bookies favourites for promotion. They beat relegation fighting Wigan in their last game 1-0 at home thanks to a first half Patrick Bamford finish however, they have lost 3 of their last 4 away winning the other 1-0 at Derby. They do have the 4th best away record in the league (9/5/6) but that has dropped over the last 4. They have scored 60 goals and 22 of them have come away from home but its their defensive exploits that have them in 1st position. They have the best defensive record in the league having only conceded 30 goals, 19 of which game in 20 away games. They have kept 7 clean sheets on the road and only conceded 2 or more 5 times. They have scored in 12 of 20 away and these records suggest they keep it tight on the road. This mentality could of possibly changed in recent weeks with the season hitting the final stages as they have conceded in 5 of the last 6 away from the Riverside. If they could win today, they would take a 4 point gap at the summit and would remain top no matter what happens in the 3pms. Daniel Ayala and Ryan Fredericks are the only confirmed outs however former England and Real Madrid centre back Jonathon Woodgate would struggle to play 2 games in 4 days and he is really key to their defensive record. Patrick Bamford has 17 goals this term and he is the one to watch in the final third for Boro.

Head to head records show goals, 5 of the last 6 meetings have seen both sides net and 4 of the last 6 have gone overs. The meeting earlier this season at the Riverside ended 1-1 and the last time they met at Vicarage Watford took the points in a 1-0 with Deeney getting the winner. Troy Deeney has scored the last 3 times Middlesborough have visited Vicarage and he’ll look to keep that record. Watford have scored 2 or more in 3 of the last 6 meetings and that is something to be considered especially with this years goal tallies. The record in the last 6 is 2 draws 3 watford wins and 1 Boro win. Boro haven’t won in the last 4.

I love watching Watford, they score and concede, a neutrals dream. Its tough to call whether both sides would take a draw in this one, id probably say they would on paper. However Watford will not change their philosophy, well certainly not according to their manager. Middlesborough will come here with the objective to keep it tight but if Watford can get an early goal i believe the game will open up. Deeney takes the pens for Watford and could be key here today, Watford will likely aim to get down the wings and crosses are his bread and butter. He is 3.00 with 365 to score at Anytime and has done in the last 3 meetings at Vicarage between these two. Id edge toward Watford to win this game but their record against the top sides doesn’t tempt me into the WDW market. BTTS is 1.80 with betway and i’ll take this considering 5 of the last 6 have seen BTTS. I think Watford will eventually break down Middlesborough and if they can do so, Boro will have to come out, this would suit Watford and over 1.5 watford goals has a chance at 2.50 with Coral.
    —————————————
    Predictions:

    Watford Over 1.5 Team Goals – 2.50 @Coral – 4 Points
    Both Teams To Score – 1.80 @Betway – 5 Points
    Troy Deeney Antime Goalscorer – 3.00 @Bet365 – 1 Point

Yesterday went down with both the afternoon matches correct, but both evening games went against us to leave Sunday overall 0/3.

Today, there’s a bonus non-league card, with all games kicking off at 3pm, and my acca at 10 x or more for today is

    Conference
    Dover v Woking
    Away win @ 29/20

    Conference South
    Concord v Hemel
    Home win @ 23/20

    Whitehawk v Hayes & Yeading
    Home win @ 8/11

    Northern Premier League
    Whitby v Frickley
    Home win @ 4/5

    That fourfold pays at 16.4

    Derby team news:

Huge loss for derby is that George Thorne is back out injured for approx 6 weeks with a thigh injury. Its huge because this past 4 months our 2 key positions ( striker and holding midfielder ) have caused Derby to implode. I cannot remember having a run of results this bad.

    Derby line-up:

    Grant

    5 changes !!
Keogh/Albentosa/Forsyth/Warnock ( Keogh moves from central defence to right back and forsyth moves from left back to central defence )

Hendrick/Hughes ( these 2 seem to be there as the midfield battlers )

    Ward/Russell/Ince ( 3 attacking midfielders )

    Bent.

So this looks like a 4-5-1.

From what I gather, the pitch was cut up like a farmers ploughed field because of the rugby. Our wretched run of form has to end soon, and we are pretty much out of the auto-promotion race, partly because we’ve not turned up, partly because we’ve had key decisions missed or gone against us, the Injuries at the wrong time of the season all at once and lastly because we’ve not closed out the game at the right time.

McClaren has made some huge changes today, 5 in all, and most through niggles and injuries. It is a competitive side that’s setup to defend and gives us an element of attack too.

I think the state of the pitch will play a big part in this match’s outcome. If we don’t sort it out soon, the playoffs could be out of reach too. Derby win for me though @ 6/5. I’m gonna go all in and drop my whole betting bank on it. £36.

    Brentford V Nottingham Forest – English Championship – 15:00 – 06/04/2015

Brentford are a surprise package this year they are going very well and sit 5th in a playoff position. They’ve been in good form winning 4 and only losing twice. They score and they concede on a regular basis, they have conceded in their last 7 in a row. They have scored 68 goals in 40 and an impressive 39 goals at home in 20. The bee’s have conceded 53 times this term with 24 coming at home. They have only failed to score 3 times in front of their home fans but only kept 5 clean sheets. 14 of 20 at home have been over 2.5 goals and both teams have scored in 13 of the 20. Brentford win most of these games and have seen themselves net 2 or more on 12 occasions. Average goals at home comes up at 3.15 which is no surprise. 6 of their last 8 have gone overs, all of their last 6 at home have gone overs, and 5 of these 6 has also seen both teams scoring. If they can get a win today they can maintain their play off push but also could possibly sneak into auto promotion race, unlikely but possible. Scott Hogan is their only unavailable man today through injury, top scorer Andre Grey will lead the line (15 goals)

Forest started the season fantastically but fell of dramatically, they have seen a resurgence in form recently but haven’t got enough to challenge the playoffs. They are 9th with 57 points and have won 4 of the last 8, losing 3. Like Brentford they score and concede. They’ve netted 63 goals this term, 28 of which came away and have conceded 56, 30 coming away. They have a decent goal average on the road which stands at 2.90, and have seen 15 of 20 away from home go overs. Both teams have netted in 11 of their away games and forest have scored in 14 of 20, conceding in 13. They tend to concede multiple times on the road and have let in 2 or more 11 times. 6 of their last 8 games have gone overs and BTTS would of landed in 5 of these 8, with 5 going btts and over 2.5 together. Like mentioned earlier they can’t go anywhere, no pressure on them today. Chris Cohen, Andy Reid and top scorer Britt Assombalonga are all out injured. Forest have lost their last 2 to teams above them in a 1-2 defeat at home to Wolves and a 3-1 loss away at Norwich.

Head to head shows both teams score often and have done so in 8 of the last 9. However i’ll only take notice of 5 of the last 6 as anything before these came in the 1950’s. The last meeting was a win for Brentford, 1-3 earlier this season at Forest. Brentford have scored 2 or more in the last 2 meetings, and we have seen overs in 4 of the last 6. Forest have won 3, drawn 2 and lost 1 H2H.

Goals are the obvious choice here today, BTTS is 1.65 at 888 o2.5 is 1.67 at Lad Brokes. Not enough of a price for me though, combine them two and you’ll get offered 1.91 at 365 and that will be my bet. Brentford on the o1.5 team goals i think will land and is 1.73 with Will Hills. o2.5 Brentford goals is 3.40 with Corol and i’ll take this for the value aspect.
    ————————–

    Brentford Over 1.5 Team Goals – 3.40 Coral – 2 Points

    Picks

    BTTS AND OVER 2.5MG 21/20 B365 **WIN** :) :)

BRENTFORD OVER 2.5 TEAM GOALS 12/5 B365 **Small stake** LOSE :(

BOURNEMOUTH WIN AND OVER 2.5MG @ EVENS ***WIN*** :) :)

    BOURNEMOUTH OVER 2.5 TEAM GOALS @ 11/8 *WIN* :) :)

St. Pauli have conceded only 6 goals in their last 8 games
Düsseldorf have scored in their last 11 games.
Pauli need to win by two clear goals to leave the bottom 3
Düsseldorf need to win to get into the play-off positions
Düsseldorf have won only two of sixteen games at the Millerntor
Pauli have lost only one of their last 4 games
Düsseldorf should win but it wont be easy
If I was a betting man I would be looking at BTTS in this game

Oh my days. Had a bet on bournemouth Norwich wolves all to win. Covered wolves at 2-1 up for my stake back and a little bit in case leeds draw or win.
I thought at 3-2 I will take cash out for nearly 3 times my stake and I did. And bang leeds equalise. Also cashed out leeds win or draw for 4 times cover stake. So I have profited from my treble and my cover bet. What a great day.

Nothing else for tonight so I’ll put up the only bet for tomorrow now.

Nobody expected Saturdays result at the Hawthorns, and I mean nobody. If they did they were lying :) After QPR looking sluggish for most of the season, they finally have the relegation fears and look as if they are starting to care about it. After going the majority of last year without scoring away, they have now scored in every away tie since the 15th of December. QPR have never failed to score against Villa in all competitions in 7 h2h’s. The R’s last 6 league games have seen BTTS and over 2.5 goals, with 7 of their last 8 league games also seeing this market. Villa didn’t have much joy in front of goal on Saturday but still came away with a consolation from Old Trafford with a goal from Christian Benteke. 4 of the 5 h2h’s in the league between these two have seen BTTS, with both at Villa Park seeing BTTS & over 3.5 goals. A win for QPR would see them out of the bottom 3 on goal difference. Probably a hard task with Tim Sherwood giving Villa the lift they needed but I think this will be hotly contested with Chris Ramsey working with Sherwood at Spurs last season but Sherwood has been quick to put any niceties to one side for tomorrow.

‘I hope we both survive. It’s more likely we will than them because after Tuesday night we could be six points ahead.’

‘It’s hard, what do you talk about? You can’t share team notes. Only ‘how’s the family, are you alright? Ok, see you Tuesday.’

‘He’s a good pal of mine and very loyal friend but it’s been put to one side.’

    WOLVES TO SCORE 2 or more goals – 4/5 **WIN** :) :)

    WOLVES WIN – 4/6 **WIN** :) :)

    AFOBE TO SCORE ANYTIME – 5/4 **WIN** :) :)

  276. thechief 2 years ago

Evening Guys, judging by number of posts I and the results of the big teams in the Championship its been a good day all round.

    Crystal Palace v Man City

I apologise if some one as already done this match I haven’t read through the thread yet, but I fancy a good game tonight. I will be brief.

Palace are safe and can have a right go, while City need a win ahead of next weeks derby. There are a few bets I like but the main one is both teams to score.

Going off the stats I only went back as far as when Pardew took over, only twice have they failed to score while City have conceded in their last seven away games the latest being at Burnley. It is 4/5 Bet365

In the goal scorer market I have said before on the site that when a “big club” travel to a so called smaller club it is always value to be on a home player and again tonight there are 8 city players shorter price than Glenn Murray to score. Murray has 4 in 4 and looks great value at 7/2 Skybet. For Man City David Silva scored twice in the reverse fixture and has a habit of drifting in from wide an popping up in the box, he looks better value than Aguero to me. He is 3/1 Betfred.

    BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE 4/5
    MURRAY TO SCORE 7/2
    SILVA TO SCORE 3/1

Good luck if your having a bet

      Mr Fixit 2 years ago

Gazza83, you had to cover before the game – you can’t cover when a side are losing but if it gets back to 2-2 you have a chance.

  300. ANDREW DODD 2 years ago

    An offside goal

  301. Professor365 2 years ago

Up in Argentina tonight, not going to back it myself as i won’t be researching it. However, Newells plays Union Santa Fe tonight… Newell’s have only won once in their last 6 at home (which came against the side placed 26th out of 30) Union haven’t lost in their last 18 competitive games… some did come in the second division, but yet to lose this season.

You can get Union at evens on double chance at B-W-I-N. Thinks its been priced on Newells reputation, their form is awful though at home and unions is fantastic.

However… a favourite saying of mine ‘Form is temporary, Class is permanent’

Anyone looking for a late night bet, that may be worth a look.

Jordan lets see what happens on Sunday and then see who has the bragging rights :-)

    • bad jasper 2 years ago

City not been the same since Cake gate last year.

  325. Jordan 2 years ago

    What bragging rights?

  326. craneguy 2 years ago

    nite owls bet

    newells btts 1/1

  327. Shaun tanner 2 years ago

Man Utd for the title…I’ve heard it all now! Haha. Anyways City letting me down big time tonight, first goal miles offside though.

Newells Old Boys v Union Santa Fe. Argentina 01.10am.

Newells Old Boys over 1.5 team goals 5/4 (team goal series bet 8.)

Over 1.5 team goals & San Lorenzo to score in 2nd half (Paraguay) DOUBLE 3.5/1

    • Shaun tanner 2 years ago

Aaa sorry forgot to add at the bottom-

Team goal series current score 3 wins from 7.

  328. Jordan 2 years ago

    Who’s said that Shaun? Nobody…

  329. David Wiseman 2 years ago

    5 x 1 point bets (I have 5 free points from bet365 to use)

    Bet 1

Newells btts, safest bet from what i can see at 2.0 as well, fingers crossed for a good start.

    Current bank -102 points

  330. David Wiseman 2 years ago

Bank error it should be -97 lol (it makes a difference)

  331. David Wiseman 2 years ago

Bet 2 (will probably be the following)

    1 point to return 2.3

    Aston Villa NCS
    Fulhan NCS
Atletico Madrid over 1.5 match goals

  332. David Wiseman 2 years ago

The only other bet i have pending is the following to win through 10bet (which i hated using)

    0.5 returns 9.6

    Southampton win v hull
    Tottenham win v aston villa
    Liverpool win v newcastle
    Schalke win V heighburg
Atletico Madrid win v real sociad
    Villarreal win v espanyol
    Monaco win v montpellier

  333. David Wiseman 2 years ago

After these 5 bets if it all goes wrong i am moving to 1 point = £1 for a while. This will give me a chance to learn some discipline and try a few different betting techniques.

I will over time break even, determined to keep plugging away but in a balanced way.

  334. David Wiseman 2 years ago

Jordan – The momentum is with unt and would not be shocked to see man unt put 2 past city, may even form that into my bet if i get that far lol

  335. Shaun tanner 2 years ago

San Lorenzo score, wish I took the single now.

Just put on a nice bet- Man Utd for the title. Common Utd your so good now with star man Felliani! 😀

  336. Shaun tanner 2 years ago

David- why stop at two goals mate, I’m going for two or three. I’ll be backing the best team in the country so should come in! 😀

  337. Jordan 2 years ago

Dave, Shaun’s upset his team is slipping into the Europa League don’t mind him.

  338. V P 2 years ago

Man Utd play terrible football and having spent hundreds of millions and the worst thing is that they have made Di Maria look like a bad player

  339. Shaun tanner 2 years ago

    😀 😀 😀

    Utd!!! (Sheffield!)

  340. V P 2 years ago

That is true they but the way have got those points has been very unimpressive

  341. V P 2 years ago

    Scraped so many of them

  342. Shaun tanner 2 years ago

Just think if utd hadn’t spent all that money they could be top. It’s the players who they spent all those millions on in the summer that have been holding the team back.

  343. Shaun tanner 2 years ago

De Gea is up for player of the season, I think that says it all really. Deserves to be at a BIG club. 😀

  344. David Wiseman 2 years ago

To be honest btts for the united game looks like the bet, city will be angry and will be interesting to see how they respond.

Had an in play 1 point on city to draw whilst 2 down at 5.5 and surprised it didnt happen.

Spurs supporter here, at least you are in the top four :-(

  345. Jordan 2 years ago

Scraped!? Chelsea last beat a team by more than one goal on the 17th of January…

Keep lining em up boys and I’ll keep knocking em out the park 😉

  346. David Wiseman 2 years ago

Lets hope the reserves dont set the trend at 0-0 for the newells game

  347. Jordan 2 years ago

    Dave BTTS & over 2.5 would be my bet @ 6/5 @ 365

Shaun, how much did you spend on your Suarez funds? That seemed to have helped you out mate :)

  348. Jordan 2 years ago

VP, are you blaming United for making Di Maria looking bad? Hahahaha do you not think it’s because he’s bad? Does Herrera look bad? Or Blind? Talking pish.

  349. V P 2 years ago

Lol Jordan Man Utd have basically achieved the bare minimum for a team like them not in Europe. That stat doesn’t mean anything you were struggling against teams for most of this season and yes scraping the points

  350. V P 2 years ago

Falcao and Di Maria have been world class consistently for ages not so much now at Man Utd

  351. V P 2 years ago

So those were funds that meant they basically broke level whereas Man Utd spent and spent. Suarez was irreplaceable

  352. Jordan 2 years ago

So what about Liverpool VP? Should they not be achieving Champions League football? Should City not be winning the Premier League every season? Again, talking pish. Struggling against teams all season and we’re still sitting in 3rd place with a new manager and new players. Another home run for Jordan…

  353. Jordan 2 years ago

    Boring me now fella…

  354. Jordan 2 years ago

I might fall asleep on the next reply…

  355. V P 2 years ago

No, that’s wrong and you haven’t really taken any validation away from any of my points but I’m going to leave it there because of course you’re going to disagree with all of it, it doesn’t matter.

    • Jordan 2 years ago

What validation? Who gives a f*ck if Falcao and Di Maria have been poor? If I’d have paid £100+ million out of my own pocket I might give 1 f*ck but I haven’t, and we’re 3rd in the league looking at Champions League football which would be a sh*t load better than what we had last year? Point?

  356. Jordan 2 years ago

Di Maria so poor but our assist leader with 12, only 5 behind Fabregas, and and 2 more than Sterling. Guess where that puts him. Second in the league…

    Anything else??

  357. Jordan 2 years ago

Falcao is on a loan also so he can be as sh*t as he wants, we’re Manchester United, the second biggest revenue club in the world. What is your point, please?

  358. Dave Wiseman 2 years ago

Put a 0 5 fun acca on and with other 0.5 had a punt on santa fe to win and over 2.5 goals at a value 8.5.

Stats point to this being possible but i have probably picked another night when the home team find form again.

As long as btts comes in for 0.5 profit i see this sub bet being possible and worth a tickle.

  359. Jordan 2 years ago

Dave I wish you luck but you’re chasing in South America again haha

  360. Dave Wiseman 2 years ago

Jordan – lol, no chasing. 1 point on btts which has every chance and a good price. The away win has a very good chance, newells have struggled at home and worth a 0.5 gamble at 8.5.

Might have been better to go with 2 away goals

Lets hope for btts early and be happy with 0.5 profit with a free 0.5 at the away win and over 2.5

  361. Dave Wiseman 2 years ago

Jordan – lo8l, no chasing. 1 point on btts which has every chance and a good price. The away win has a very good chance, newells have struggled at home and worth a 0.5 gamble at 8.5.

Might have been better to go with 2 away goals but hey got to be in it to feal it

Lets hope for btts early and be happy with 0.5 profit with a free 0.5 at the away win and over 2.5

  362. Jordan 2 years ago

Haha had the pleasure on Sky Sports Football Gold before mate. So were Palace a bit too big for their boots tonight too? Might be back under our rock but we’ll still be in the top 4 and that’s all that matters.

  363. pspud 2 years ago

    Hi Mr. Fixit,

I won a bet 365 free bet in the first week of March and I was told that all free bets are added at the end of the month altogether.

Since mine has not been added yet, will I have to wait till the end of this month for the free bet?
