RANGERS won the Championship as expected last night but didn't do punters any favours as they struggled past Dumbarton 1-0.
Most people expected them to clinch promotion in style and they were two goals short of bringing up my Top Treble. Having watch the highlights it was one of those matches where Dumbarton's goal led a charmed life and keeper Jamie Ewings played a blinder – could easily have finished 5-0.
Sheffield Wednesday and Middlesbrough were my other picks and the Owls were Greg's nap which proves singles are always best.
My Super Single though went down as Dundee United lost at Partick Thistle – and again having watched the action it was one-sided in favour of United who failed to take their chances then were hit by a sucker punch. But that's football – it's all about converting chances.
As has often been the case over the past few weeks I was one goal short on the both to score treble with Hartlepool letting me down.
It's much quieter on Wednesday and I'm focusing on the Champions League quarter-finals and Swedish league.
Within minutes of the draw I tipped PSG to qualify at the expense of Man City. Nothing's happened in the interim and while the French champions are 1-2 at GentingBet to reach the semis they are much bigger to win tonight.
I've looked into the Malmo game and they look a great shout at Jonkopings. There is little h2h to look as the teams seem to have only met twice recently – home and away in the Swedish Cup with Malmo winning both 4-0.
Malmo impressed in their opener last week and while Jonkopings will be buzzing after their victory there seems to be a gulf in class here. I'm happy to risk 1pt on a Super Single of Malmo to win and over 2.5 match goals.
I looked at Malmo to score 2+ and that's a possible alternative at 5-6 with GentingBet.
With belief the treble will land I'm risking 0.5pt on an Ibrahimovic/Ronaldo first-scorer double. Chances of it landing are one in 16 – so take that into account.

@robertc I’d swerve Ferencvaros -1 because Paksi Se had a good 4-1 result over second placed MTK at the weekend and were decent earlier on in the season so theres the chance they may be hitting form again. I like the look of MTK win vs basement team Bekescsabai Elore SE at 4/5. MTK are unbeaten at home in seven with six wins and one draw. Also consider Diosgyori VTK win at EVENS vs Puskas Academy , they are one of the form teams of the minute and have won their last four at home including a 2-1 over Videoton. Puskas Academy have lost their last four away. In the Hungarian league a lot of the teams seem to fare better at home so that is one of the things I always look out for.
My thinking was looking at relative home/away form. 11/13 home wins and plenty of goals compared to 4 away losses on the spin from PACS and 2-0 5-0 in the head to heads this season.
But I know next to nothing about the league and you know what stats can do….

Heading for a week of losing accas which is not the best way to start but still time to make it up.
