Apr 5: Scottish Betting Preview

MrF_Motherwell

DERBIES don’t always go the way expected but it’s difficult to see past Motherwell tonight.

Steve Robinson’s men entertain Hamilton in a crucial clash and will be confident after drawing at Rangers at the weekend.

By contrast Hamilton took 44 minutes to score against nine-man St Johnstone as they edged a 1-0 win. Before that they’d conceded 14 in three games.

Well were by all accounts superb at Ibrox and could have scored more. They look value at 6-4 with McBookie – but the key could be the availability of striker Louis Moult.

He hit their goal on Saturday and is 9-2 at McBookie and Ladbrokes to score first and 7-5 with William Hill to net. However, he is an injury doubt although is expected to start.

Rangers head to Kilmarnock with boss Pedro Caixinha naming his team last night and ruling out defender Lee Hodson, Clint Hill, Rob Kiernan and Lee Wallace.

James Tavernier and Danny Wilson will return while 20-year-old centre-half David Bates and 18-year-old left-back Myles Beerman makes their debuts.

Killie are also missing players with boss Lee McCulloch admitting only eight trained last week.

With Joe Garner and Martyn Waghorn starting up top Rangers should win but a best 8-13 with boylesports looks short and best bet could be over 2.5 goals at 4-5 with Marathonbet.

Kris Boyd has scored five in nine games and netted in a 1-1 Rugby Park draw with Gers earlier in the season. He’ll relish facing the kids and is 10-1 at McBookie to score first and 7-2 at Betfred to net at anytine.

Champions Celtic may be leggy at home to Partick Thistle after a fews days celebrating six in a row. They are 1-5 at Ladbrokes and again missing Moussa Dembele and Leigh Griffiths.

With those two out I advised Scott Sinclair to score first at Hearts and he is 4-1 at McBookie to do so again.

The final game sees St Johnstone meet Hearts in game that could go a long way to deciding fourth place. Both sides lost at the weekend but Saints also suspended Richard Foster and Danny Swanson after their fight.

It’s a tough one to call so let’s go both to score at 9-10 with 888sport.
