IT was one of those strange Sundays – it started superbly, fell away in the middle and had a decent ending.
I thought it was going to be a great day when two thirds of the treble came in early and I advised covering Chievo double chance at 5-1 when Lazio led 1-0 at half-time.
Max Gradel was a 6-1 first-scorer tip for St Etienne and I flagged up Marouane Fellaini at 12-1 to be booked first at Everton and I know some were on the Man United midfielder.
At this point Juventus, the Super Single pick, were also winning but of course they went on to lose 2-1 at Torino – their first derby defeat since 1995.
I advised a draw at Arsenal v Chelsea and under 2.5 goals and that was a late pick-me-up but it's always disappointing when the main bets lose. And with the three late games all finishing 4-2 to the favourites there was nice profit there for those who latched on early to goals galore – and again some good bets were advised inplay on the comments section so thanks for those who got involved.
From a 20pt profit last week the Super Single is now down to just over 5pts up and it's frustrating when I hoped to be 30pts plus ahead by the end of the month.
On Monday it's all about Bournemouth v Bolton in the Championship as the home men try to clinch promotion to the Premier League. Bournemouth are no bigger than 3-10 with the likes of William Hill and Betfred and while they'll be under pressure I can't see them letting slip this chance of a lifetime.
Other games I'll be looking at are Valencia v Granada in La Liga and Sporting at Moreinense in Portugal. Both are of course short-priced favourites and added to Bournemouth the treble pays just under 2-1 at Betfred.
Valencia have won eight out of nine at the Mestalla while Granada have gone 14 without a victory and look destined for the drop. I like the look of Valencia -2 Asian Handicap at 8-5 with 888sport against a side who have conceded 15 in their last three away games including nine at Real Madrid.
I've also seen tips for Eintracht Braunschweig at home to Erzgebirge in Bundesliga 2 but will need to look into it more even though at first glance it's promotion chasers against a side battling the drop.
I've posted a separate preview on the Bournemouth game and with both to score over evens at 21-20 with Ladbrokes I'm taking that as the Super Single. Reasoning is on that thread.
For the Top Treble I'm taking Bournemouth and Valencia and adding not Sporting but Besiktas at home to relegation-threatened Karabukspor. Slaven Bilic's can return to the top of the table with a win and and should get it against a side seven points away safety.
Besiktas have been in cracking form and while their record against Karabukspor isn't the best they should beat a side who have lost their last four away games. Bilic's men have lost just two of their last 27 homes games – and those defeats came to title rivals Fenerbahce and Galatasaray.

Did anybody watch Cobresal win the Chilean league last night? a great finish, they had thrown it away at half time to Catolica. Anyway I need some help, it was 2-2 around the 75min mark and I placed a inplay bet of £50 at 8/5 for cobresal to win. About 10 seconds later cobresal got a penalty and scored. I cashed out the bet straight away at £123.
I went to bed last night with 350 squid in my account and woke up this morning had a look at my account was 227. My Cobresal bet last night had been removed and placed back into unsettled bets. I have contacted b365 and they have said it is being reviewed by the traders…?

Steven, I assume they are checking to see if penalty was awarded before you hit the button. Traders are the people who decide whether you get a bet on and how much you’re allowed. These are the people who can decide to restrict or close accounts.

Haven’t had a spare minute since Saturday – needless to say both my Palace predictions lost, twice in two weeks they’ve done me, I should have heeded the advice from Harry to be weary of Hull who are fighting for the PL lives.
Onto today, like the vast majority I can’t see past B’mouth and Valencia. Jankopings in the Swedish Superettan are tempting too but it’s still early doors in that league although their home form looks fairly solid.

Not sure if anyone has spotted this but looking at SoccerWay I can see that all 10 goals in Valencia and Granada’s last 5 head to heads were scored in the second half.
5/10 of these have come in the last 10 minutes inluding two Valencia game winners in the 90th and a draw saving goal in the 89th for Granada in the most recent H2H.
Most goals 2nd half is EVENS at SkyBet which I’ll be on.
Interestingly their current ‘Match Specials’ market for the game offers odds on each team to score 2 or more first half goals and each to score in the first 10 minutes.

I agree with what been said today on the site, so I will keep it brief. I am definitely on the Super Single. Bournemouth have conceded four goals in their last two home games and Bolton have scored six goals in their last three away games, they have also scored in their last 3 matches against Bournemouth. Both teams to score is 21/20 Coral.
In the goal scorer market Kallum Wilson is the main man for Bournemouth but is a shade of odds on, and I am doing something separate for him. Instead I am looking for value and Adam Le Fondre who has scored 8 goals in 13 since his loan move from Cardiff and he as scored in each of his last 3 games. He is massive at 5/1 to score at Coral.
Sky Bet special is Kallum Wilson to score and Bournemouth win at 5/4 and as I mentioned he is the man most likely to fire Bournemouth to promotion tonight.

Like the confident (stupid) punter (mug) I am, I didn’t take or even tip the 3/1+ cover on this when the 3rd game went 1-1 with half hour left. Bit irresponsible from me as I didn’t have a very big stake on so I wasn’t too bothered about covering. Word of warning, never trust these leagues with a big stake they’re far too unpredictable!

GD173, you want a Bournemouth goal so back Bournemouth not to score. Of course that’s not full cover as Bolton could net two and still draw but that looks unlikely. I saw your comment earlier but it’s a difficult one to cover at the start fully at the start.

Well Swindon are in the play-offs, so I certainly wouldn’t back them. Colchester need to win, so they’ll almost certainly score at least one. Hard to call. I may back Colchester to win.
