SPURS made it a poor night for most punters as they were held by West Brom to just about hand Leicester the title.

The Foxes are one win from completing a fairytale season and if they don't get it this weekend at Man United should do so at home to Everton.

Spurs beat my Super Single and the Top Treble went down at the first hurdle with a lack of goals at Roma – so that's 3pts off my profits.

Tuesday is all about Man City v Real Madrid in the Champions League semi-finals and I've posted a separate preview.

In Scotland there are two Championship games – an important one and a meaningless one. Hibs must beat Dumbarton to have any chance of finishing second and the bet I like here is over 3.5 match goals at 6-4 with Paddy Power as the home men need to a big win to try to close the goal difference on Falkirk.

The three meetings between the sides this season have gone all gone over 2.5 with both teams scoring – and it was 4-2 when they met at Easter Road.

Livingston v Rangers is a nothing game with the home men facing a relegation play-off and the visitors already crowned champions. Under 2.5 goals at 9-4 with McBookie looks big.

Hull v Brentford in the English Championship also has little meaning with the Tigers' play-off place secured and automatic promotion out of the equation. I want to see firm team news before taking anything on here.

Walsall have been wobbling in League One but a win at home to Shrewsbury, who are fighting the drop, will give them a massive promotion lift.

A draw would suit Wimbledon and Portsmouth as they try to close out Cambridge for the last two League Two play-off places.

There are also some Scandinavian games to look at and elvis parsley among others could be the one to follow after his terrific tips on the AIK game yesterday.

Having thought long and hard about tonight's games I've decided to put nothing but a treble and even then it's one I'd advise for low stakes.

Spurs totally bottled it yesterday and pretty much handed the title to Leicester. What a season for the Foxes and for Football in general! I think a draw against United should do it for them as Spurs will probably get the same result against Chelsea. Taking this early as the price has been dropping and I’ll happily take Leicester or the Draw at 3/4.

Fancy Utd for the 3 points on Sunday with that CL carrot dangling in front of them. And also ManCity to drop points in the next game against Southampton with their eye on RM the following Wed. And Chelsea to beat a feeling low Spurs on Mon night.
Anyway its gonna be a fantastic weekend in the PL.

  4. dom77 8 years ago

Last nights Spurs result sums up a lot of this season really.
Fancied teams at home expected to win and being held to a draw.
Arsenal and Man city have done this kind of thing a lot.
Expectation plays a massive part in football. Look at Barca. When they were in dire form and with less expectation they smashed 14 goals in 2 games.
Maybe there has been an increase in bus parking too.

Let’s hope next season things get back to normal.

      I wasnt on spurs!
I backed out last minute. If anyone is going to ruin your bet it’ s Tony Pulis.

Surely you agree this season has been quite unusual?

I’m thinking about recent times when outcomes were a bit more predictable ie Chelsea never losing at home for example.

Morning gents, shocking Spurs performance last night – did not go to plan for the majority of punters last night including myself – hopefully today we’ll make back some of those losses. Onwards…

    19:45PM – England National League N/S

Lowestoft Town v North Ferriby Utd (North)

Critical game for Lowestoft – hovering just above the relegation spots by 2pts – they’ll avoid relegation with a win tonight against a North Ferriby side who have already guaranteed play-off status. This is Lowestoft’s game in hand against the bottom 3 so must really make it count – especially being at home. The H2H shows 2 from 3 meetings seeing 3 goals…4 of North Ferriby’s last 5 away games have gone overs and both teams have a decent goal tally which has seen North Ferriby concede a chunky number as well. Ferriby have nothing to play for in this game so I’m hoping they’ll be a little more open and Lowestoft need to go for it.

    Truro v Whitehawk (South)

A very meaningful game for both involved tonight, with both looking to secure a playoff position. They’re 3 pts apart and both are banging in the goals this season. Whitehawk have won 5 on the bounce and have been in the mix scoring and conceding lots recently – 8 from their last 8 away games in the NL have seen 3 goals or more and Truro 4 from their last 5 home games. The one and only meeting I can see between these two ended 0-0 last October but arguably this game is much more important.

I was tinkering to go with two over 2.5 singles here but decided to double up in the end with an Over 2.5 goals double @ 2.88.

I also think there’s value in taking Lowestoft DNB @ 2.15 – they’ve lost 1 in their last 6 and considering the importance of this for them there’s a good chance.

    Good luck today gents.

    BRENTFORD not to lose(2.05)
brentford have battered most teams in the last six rounds e.g ipswich and cardiff with Hull city lack of clean sheet i acknowledge them to get a hard time…
    MANCITY not to lose (1.65)
this season champions league man city have beem so ruthless …they’ve grown in Xperience amd am surprise by the teams they’ve ousted …it will be no brainer to win against a maybe C-Boyless REAL… with great inclination on him to deliver and rescue …Benzema too may not be invovled due to pull out during rayo&msatch

    goodluck punters…

I looked at Brentford double chance@21/20 yesterday, suddenly playing well&Hull already having that playoff spot

    • nathanufton 8 years ago

This Hull game has been on my radar for a while, well really since my beloved Derby played them. Hulls defence in that game looked Sunday league standard and Derby made them pay dearly. Steve Bruce berated his back 4 and as you’ve already said, they’re in the playoff’s. They can’t catch Brighton – unless theres a miracle and 4th spot is theirs to lose to Derby, but a point tonight and Derby’s 2 tricky games should throw enough sh*t in the works to see Hull solidify that 4th spot.
Brentford ARE a tricky side, they’ve pulled off some good results this season but I feel they’re 20% ( quality wise ) on where they were last season. I expected Brentford to build on last year but they have not.
Meanwhile Hull having a stinker against Derby have raised the bar again, they have to. 4th spot pays better prize money than 5th ( its still chicken feed compared to placings in the top flight but it gives home advantage in the 2nd leg of the playoffs. Given they’ve conceded 6 against Derby in the two matches between them and not scored, Hull absolutely have to have everything at their disposal to take into those playoff’s, however small these little gains they can have before they start, Hull have to take them. Goals/Wins/Clean sheets/home advantage, it all counts.
Agreed about the team news being vital but Hull have an excellent record at home – that can’t be ignored..

If we have a member amongst us with team news and what the general vibe is, I for one would be interested to hear your thoughts.

    18:00PM – Scotland Development League (All 6PM Kick-Offs)

    Dundee Utd U20 v Dundee U20

Utd’s and Dundee’s past 3 games have seen a combined total of 24 goals, they’re flying in and historically this tie has had plenty with 4 from the last 5 meetings seeing 4 goals or more.

    Inverness U20 v Hamilton U20

Another high scoring tie in previous years with 6 from the last 7 meetings seeing a minimum of 4 goals. 7 from Hamilton’s last 8 games has seen 3 goals or more and Callie 4 from their last 6.

    St Johnstone U20 v Partick U20

The past 5 meetings between this pair have seen 26 goals! That’s an average of 5 a game…7 of Partick’s last 8 have gone over the 2.5 goal mark and St Johnstone are the 3rd highest scorers in the league so goals a plenty to be had.

My only concern is it’s near season end so interest might not be there, but I fancy an Over 2.5 goals treble @ 2/1.

    • tibbo87 8 years ago

Cheers mate I went abit early on 75mins but from 80 mins onwards u get odds for around 13/8 7/4 ! Been doing really well lately means at level stakes I usually just go 1 point ( £10 ) only have to hit 1 in 2 for a profit ! U will be suprised how many late goals there are in close games !

    • waddo 8 years ago

Great stuff pal, keep it up – do you pick random games or are there specific games you research before putting your late goals on and watch in play?

    • tibbo87 8 years ago

Honestly mate I find that ur no better off researching, just all depends on how the game is being played on the day, the good thing tho is u don’t have to spend hours researching just have to be in the zone n on the look out ! To the 2 main time zones I stick to is 30 mins to 45 mins and 80 to 90 Il only go abit earlier if it’s a 0-0 like this mornings game as usually these type of game is a one goal winner ! Just keep a look out if you have time it opened up a new way of betting for me which can be really profitable

I do that kind of bet but is easy to get carried away but then if your doing level stakes no real harm done

    • tibbo87 8 years ago

It’s like that game in play nw Australian when that gets to 30 mins because of the stats and shots Il stick another 10 pound level stake on when it gets around 6/4 ! @webber honestly mate I are yet to be in a – for a end of the months calculations since iv been betting like this ! I’m not guna sit here and bull sit u all but last nyt I ended in plus 9 pound profit on a night where lots of people failed on pre kick off bets ! I can’t post every bet as there’s so little time in me placing and getting bk on here this is just to open peoples eyes abit n to have a look for urselves

    • tibbo87 8 years ago

That’s ment to say +9 points no pound n it came off the Holland reserve league, den mark reserve league, Belgium reserve league and Russia games go take a look and ul see the time of the goals ?

    • tibbo87 8 years ago

See what I mean that’s 2 winners out of 2 already this morning at evens and 6/4 42nd min goal in that game ! Kachingggg

    • waddo 8 years ago

Nice one @tibbo87 – thanks for your insight. I’ll watch a few with interest then perhaps stick a few quid on later today and see how it goes. Cheers bud.

    • tibbo87 8 years ago

No researching just looking at how the game is panning out if I feel there’s a goal Il go ! So that is me up 2.5 points already ! I ain’t saying go on every game cuz that will be stupid n ul just be throwing money away once people understand about this type of betting, u honestly have more chance than pre kick off because know one knows how a game is guna pan out before it kicks off ! All I’m trying to do is to give u guys the bit of info to how I bet !

I know your right cause I enjoy that bet,I find it profitable,it’s making sure you find the right games&like you say no time to post, well done bud

    Monthly:

Hull City v Brentford: Sergi Canos to score anytime @ 13/2

Hull are falling over the line. Once expected to gain automatic promotion, they’re now stuck in the play-offs. Brentford are an interesting case of a team with nothing to play for but yet, are putting in brilliant performances. Scoring goals for fun, they had no problem relegating MK Dons last time out so won’t mind playing a side looking beyond the Championship. Vibe at 3/1 is not a bad price to score anytime but Sergi Canos is better value.

Man City v Real Madrid: Jesus Navas to score anytime @ 7/1

This game could be a goalfest. Real have made progress under Zidane, but are still weak at the back. Rayo Vallecano scored twice against them on the weekend and Ronaldo may be rushed back for tonight’s game. City crushed Stoke on the weekend and seem to be hitting form at the right time, although too late for the title. They know that a big performance is needed tonight if they’re going to have a chance of progressing. Navas has played all the big games lately and 7/1 to score against a vulnerable defence is not too bad.

Not a great deal to choose from today so not a great deal of confidence. I’ve gone with a low odds treble around evens but was tempted to swap a line out for Atromitos (0) or not to lose as I think that has a chance. But with a slender profit at the end of the month I have tried to go a bit safer- not that there is such a thing. Hibs need to keep winning and if it came down to quality alone a home win would be a no brainer tonight but Hibs have been doing it the hard way of late. Dumbarton have been shocking on the road of late and so I feel with the need to win Hibs will pull out all the stops to get it tonight. In Egypt I am backing Zamalek with 8 wins from 11 at home to beat Hodood with no wins in 12 on the road. Taking a punt in the Norwegian cup which is a blind bet but because Stromsgodset won 8:1 away in the last round against a lower tier side 2 weeks ago I think they can win by more than a goal at another. The host side Eidsvold were relegated to the 3rd division in Norway last term after finishing 3rd bottom.

Best of luck with your bets today

    Double one:

    Sweden Allsvenskan 17:30
IFK Norrkoping vs Hammarby – over 2.5 MG’s

    Norway Cup 17:00
Eidsvold TF vs Stromgodset – over 5 first half corners

    12/5 **NAP**

5/5 of Norrkoping’s opening matches have seen overs with them netting four times twice in their two home appearances so far. Hammarby have seen overs in 3/5 of theirs, the highlight of which was a 3-1 victory away at top three placed Djugarden.

This Norwegian cup clash has the potential to yield a lot of corners as it is a match between a top division team and one who are three divisions below them. Stromgodset, who’ve won four of their last five Tippeligaen games, acquired 12 corners in their previous fixture against Bodo Glimt. Eidsvold TF should be on the backfoot for most of the match and as such there should be a minimum of at least six corners at the interval as they try to repel attack after attack.

    Double two:

    Estonia Meistriliiga 17:00
FC Flora Tallinn vs Levadia Tallinn – under 2.5 MG’s

    Estonia Meistriliiga 17:00
JK Nomme Kalju vs Tallinna Infonet – over 2.5 MG’s

    9/4 **NB**

6/9 of FC Flora Tallinn’s games have seen under three goals whilst with Levadia Tallinn 9/9 have seen unders.

5/9 of Tallinna Infonet’s games have seen overs whilst 4/9 oJK Nomme Kalju’s have seen it. This match sees first against second with the last time they met a month ago producing a 2-1 scoreline.

Morning boys, I’m on a btts double: Hull v Brentford and Walsall v Shrewsbury. Even tho Hull have secured a play off place, it is still in their best interests to secure that 4th place finish to ensure playing the second leg of the play offs at home. Hull haven’t really been at the races for a good few weeks now but Brentford are in great form scoring lots of goals, particularly on the road. Shrewsbury showed that they can go to a good team like Gillingham and get an impressive win and I think they could shock Walsall with another win tonight. Good luck boys.

Unbelievable what happened Spurs last night. Great night for the bookies.
Ladbrokes now doing the bet €20 and get €10 worth free inplays bets like PP‘s.

    Put €20 on
    ManCity dc
and probably put the inplay €10 on same bet
    Pays €47

Hopefully a great night for City and the Aguero, Navas atgs betters out there

Real Madrid O4.5 corners at 4/6….

    Looks straightforward enough to me

    ….unlike tennis…ahem.

    • flarber 8 years ago

This is a side bet to the 365 offer btw…always do the same for this offer…DC pre match and draw in play…guaranteed profit either way and hope for the draw ?

    • big mac 8 years ago

I do the same but wait for the 1st goal before placing the in play bet as the price on the draw is better

    • the lucky filipino 8 years ago

On it mate..on skybet over 4.5 Real Madrid corners is 5/6 ..good luck pal…

  32. toronto_frank 8 years ago

Got to get rolling here… enough is enough

Instead of doubles I’m betting these straight singles today.

    Best of luck

Man City v Real Madrid over 2.5 -125 2.5 units to win 2
    Man City/Madrid over 10 corners (Asian) -125 2.5 units to win 2
Man City v Real Madrid over 4.5 cards +100 1 unit

Ronaldo will be playing. Bale seems happier under Zidane and Madrid have enough fire power off the bench to compensate for the loss of Benzema. In fact Ronaldo ‘could’ have played last game but with this match coming up he was rested.

I might use my bet 365 free bet to parlay these three after the match kicks off I haven’t quite decided yet.

These two teams have the potential to go right at each other today and so I expect many corners. Both like to get their wingers up the pitch, especially Madrid. Good corner potential.

As for cards, there are a few players on Madrid besides Ramos with short fuses…. as there are on City.

Yellow cards are now reset so nobody is at risk of getting a third and potentially missing the return leg or the final, unless something grievous were to take place. Expect in this match at least to see some physical play with tempers getting to the usual suspects… err Ramos for one, at some point.

    Best of luck friends.

    I’m thinking:

£50 Pre-Match: Real Madrid NO CLEAN SHEET at 2/7 Returns £64.28

    IN PLAY:

BTTS First half (always big pay off…currently 10/3)

    or

Kevin de bruyne score any time (13/5) This man loves a goal in important games!

    • recoba 8 years ago

Like it theboss. Bit more return than doing btts first half NO(£60 back)
BTTS to score first half yes…£216.33 bak – your £50 pre match bet so £166 up.

    • theboss 8 years ago

I did the BTTS NO and YES for PSG game but realise I would have better of going for over 0.5 goals as i get my £50 back as well as the win form the BTTS 1st bet.

    • theboss 8 years ago

Also like to wait 5-10 mins in first half and get 4/1 or 10/1 odds for BTTS 1st half

    • harrybaines 8 years ago

Only on that win occasion, if its was 0-0 you would loose £50.

Btts no and then yes is best to guarantee profit

    • theboss 8 years ago

I really highly doubt the 0-0 will happen with the type of players on the pitch tonight.

But that’s my risk and sticking with it

Real Madrid no clean sheet pre DONE

Hey Jordan. I expect you already know this but Laddies have frozen all Guernsey accounts because the island is considered an invalid territory. Luckily, I had diddly-squat in the account anyway, but I am gutted that I cannot take advantage of the £10 in play free bet offer that Laddie have introduced today.

Never mind, their loss is other bookie’s gain, the way my current luck is going!

    • robertc 8 years ago

I’m giving them a wide at the minute anyway after the thing on Twitter yesterday – chap had placed a correct score bet of 3-0 and they wouldn’t pay out “because one of the goals was a penalty goal and therefore invalid.”

They stumped up in the end but only when it’d been made public

    • Mr Fixit 8 years ago

robertc, I read it but there was never any question the guy wouldn’t get paid.
Unfortunately Ladbrokes had someone on customer chat who didn’t have a clue and was being fed bum information.

***WINNER*** – all in with >35mins to spare!

Roll on the English National North/South Leagues now! Good luck all tonight with your Man C v Real punts.

    Estonia Meistriliiga 17:00
JK Nomme Kalju vs Tallinna Infonet – over 2.5 MG’s

    9/4 **NB** LOST

Absolutely fuming here… should be looking at two winners but questionable injury time applied by the referee has killed them both. In the Norweigen cup 2 minutes of injury time gets signalled, at 1m 45s with the ball on the quadrant and the 6th bet winning corner about to be taken HT is called with a good fifteen seconds remaining? Over in Estonia now 3 mins are signalled at the end of the FC Flora Tallinn vs Levadia Tallinn match with it sitting at 1-1 but well into 95 mins the under killing goal is scored. Its Very frustrating at times when all the research in the world can be shot down by a single referee’s decision but I guess all you can do at times is hope you get the rub of the green. Onwards.

    • harrybaines 8 years ago

I did it before the game kick off on the inplay bit… never done that before but it still counts as inplay right?

    • michaelc 8 years ago

The bet has to be done inplay – i.e. when the match is playing, i.e. after kick off. Not simply from the inplay menu, so if you placed the bet before kick off it won’t count as ‘inplay’ I’m afraid

    • harrybaines 8 years ago

Evening gents. Hammarby got the job done in the first half so stake returned from Kane misfiring last night. Small interest in the Copa Libertadores tonight. This Mexican side involved has won me a couple bets over the past few months and now travel to Venezuela’s Tachira in the first leg of the last 16. They were in each others group so its strange to see them play two more game to progress to the quarter finals but I like the look of goals here. Tachira scored in Mexico and at home against a weakened Pumas side in a 2-0 win, but I think the Pumas will play a stronger side like they did in the home tie where they won 4-0. Pumas have 12 games in the competition this season since February, and only have 1 clean sheet to show for it, and 3 in their last 23 games in all competitions. BTTS pays EVS @ Paddys, but I’m going to stick with the match goals. Pumas last 8 have all seen over 2.5 goals, with 5 seeing over 3.5.
