THE snooker World Championship title chase is wide open after favourite Ronnie O'Sullivan was toppled by Barry Hawkins in a final-frame decider yesterday and Judd Trump crashed to Ding Junhui.

Four-time champ John Higgins now tops the betting at 10-3 with Paddy Power closely followed by Mark Selby and Junhui (both 7-2, Boylesports) and Hawkins (11-2, Coral).

The quarter-finals get under way today and Higgins faces fellow Scot Alan McManus while there could be a cracker in store as rising star Kyren Wilson takes on world No.1 Selby.

On the tennis front there's British interest at the Estoril Open with Kyle Edmund hoping to make round two at the expense of Daniel Gimeno-Traver while Argentina's former US Open champ Juan Martin Del Potro is in action at the Munich Open against Dustin Brown.

There's also a couple of NBA play-off games and some IPL cricket on the sporting schedule so let's hear your tips and chat and good luck with your bets.

Some NFL fans may already know, but Tom Brady has been suspended for the first four games of the season for the Patriots. Paddy Power have already reacted with the Cardinals spread at -4.5, but Winner are offering -1 @ 19/20. Not worth anything too heavy very much so worth a couple of points. Brady out is worth 6 or 7 points easily, and -1 is a steal. Jimmy Garoppolo on Sunday Night Football in Arizona. Could be a bad opening day for New England.

    LA Clippers -2.5 @ 1.90 (PP) – 2 Points. * LOST*

    Oklahoma City Thunder -14 @ 1.90 (PP) – 2 Points. – *VOID*

Figured Clippers would bounce back from game 3, I was wrong. And the injury to Chris Paul is a huge blow. I expect Portland to progress now.

Thunder won by 14 points, so void and money back, it happens.

    Playoff Totals: 6-4-1

I would recommend anyone with a few bobs of loose change to have a go at Leonard Floyd being the first outside linebacker to be drafted.

Took him at 7/1 last night with Ladbrokes. Now 11/2 with the same firm and 6/1 with betway.

Myles Jack is the better prospect and is projected as the top OLB in this year’s draft but with a questionable knee, teams may well pass on him. Obviously there are a lot of smoke screens at this time of year with the draft round the corner, but at 7’s or now 6’s, I think Floyd is worth a shout.

Jack blew his knee out and reports are not clear on how well he has rehabbed whilst some reports suggest his knee is a “ticking time-bomb”. You look at Jaylon Smith in this year’s draft, before he blew his year out, he was a dead cert top 10 pick, possible top 5 and even 1st overall. He blew his knee out, and he is projected to go in the 2nd day. Other examples include Marcus Lattimore and Maxx Williams in previous drafts.
