IT was a pretty decent night with Walsall almost bringing home the bacon. I put 3pts on them not to lose at Swindon and 1pt to win and it looked good when they led 2-0.
In the end a 3-3 draw meant another 2pt profit for the Super Single and my Daily Record Super Single, advised on the Champions League thread, won easily as Bayern Munich pumped Porto to reach the last four of the Champions League.
There are two more Champions League quarter-final ties on Wednesday with Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid clashing and Juventus travelling to Monaco leading 1-0.
It was a surprise the Madrid derby finished scoreless but not grabbing an away goal be costly for Real and I'm backing Atletico to qualify at 11-8 with Betfred with a score draw or even win.
Real are 10-11 at bet365 to win on the night with Atletico 4-1 and Betfred and the draw 11-4 with bet365. A score draw pays 4-1 at BetVictor.
Monaco aren't as good at home as they are on the road and have drawn their last three league games in front of their own fans. Juve are the better side and can do what Arsenal did and win in the Principality. Juve are a best 7-5 at Ladbrokes and Paddy Power.

For me the best market tomorrow has to be cards with the stalemate first leg. The official is the German Felix Brych. Brych in his last 9 games officiated has shown no less than 6 red cards.
His last Champions League game officiated was at the Etihad in Barcelonas 2-1 win in which Gael Clichy saw red. Interestingly enough, the last two games he has officiated involving Atletico, the match has seen 8 yellow cards each time, against Juventus in the group stage, and against Barcelona at the Nou Camp in last years quarter final.
There is a case for the entire Atletico team to pick up a booking having looked at stats and h2h, but obviously that won’t be happening.
Raul Garcia has been shown a yellow in 7 of the last 8 h2hs, Mandzukic in 6 of 8, Diego Godin in 4 of 8, Sergio Ramos in 6 of 8 too.
It’s safe to say that this is going to be a tough battle mentally, and physically, as Real will be wary of the away goal the Atletico may score. Atletico have kept a clean sheet in 7 of their last 8 champions league games, with Real keeping a clean sheet in 6 of their last 7,.

Anyside with Ronaldo is capable of scoring 2 or more. Only came in 2/5 of last 5 head to heads at the Bernabeu however for once I’m going with my gut. With no away goal Madrid need to score 2 because they know if Atletico score the away goal will be a huge boost for them.

most of time i look for games i expect 2.5match goals or more in and if still 0-0 at 30-45mins you can usually get decent odds for 1.5 goals. generally you get most goals in the 2nd half.

If you want to try it my advice would be experiment with reduced stakes and write it down so you know whether its working for you or not. But expecting 2 goals in 60mins isnt expecting too much. This one looks good for goals. Both teams domestically have been scoring and conceding and recently played out a 3-2.
I’ll be giving it a couple of minutes into the first half to allow the prices to improve slightly but I’ll be getting on over 1.5 FHG and over 3.5 goals.
The only concern is that both of these sides are already out and its a ‘nothing’ game but the home side should really fancy there chances to put four or five past the Vietnamese. BTTS is an attractive 11/10 also.

Finally got round to looking at the yellow card bets and the 11/4 (Bet Victor) for Ronaldo looks massive especially if he gets wound up and frustrated. Atleti have only conceded 4 goals in the Champions league this season. Last season they went to Stamford Bridge with a scoreless draw and won 3-1 and I think they will find a way to qualify tonight. In the goal scorer market, I want some value and the player I want to be with here is Antoine Griezmann. He grabbed two goals at the weekend and now as scored six in his last five games. He is 10/3 Coral.
Atleti I can see scoring and Real usually score at home, I am having a small punt on Atleti to score O1.5g. If they do score then Real will have to throw men forward leaving spaces in behind, for Atleti to counter attack.
