SOMETIMES betting isn't rocket science and I focused on the favourites to make it a profitable night.

My Super Single, Top Treble and 7-1 fivefold all won as did my Bet of the Day. My only loser was a BTTS treble so a 12-point profit on the accas puts me back in the black.

On my Scottish and English previews four of five of my recommended bets were winners including Daniel Sturridge and Andy Carroll to score.

Jordan's 4pt-pointer came in at 1-1 thanks to Ajax to score 2+ and Bruges to score but Greg missed out on this occasion.

Tonight Arsenal face West Brom with the atmosphere likely to be tense as fans protest against Arsene Wenger.

AC Milan face Carpi in Serie A and there are two La Liga affairs – Real Sociedad v Getafe and Granada v Levante.

Milan have a new boss in Cristian Brocchi who started with a 1-0 win at Sampdoria at the weekend. He'll be looking to follow up with a victory in front of home fans at the San Siro but at 1-2 his team look a little short.

It's also a take of new bosses as Sociedad take on Getafe whose new coach Juan Esnaider started with a 5-1 home reverse to Real Madrid …and there's no shame in that. Esnaider has a major job on his hands and his side have lost seven in a rowon the road.

Sociedad have improved since Eusebio Sacristan took charge and have let in five goals in their last eight. They should win and I'm doubling them with over 2.5 goals at Den Haag v AZ for what might be my only bet tonight – I'm golfing today but may add something late afternoon if I get a chance.

Bet of the Day has won three in a row from Monday but again on such a small card I'm not sure if I'll post anything although a single on overs at Den Haag tempts.

Jordan's tipped an AZ scorer so check out his post which is back up and I like his pick. I'll be backing the player and goals in the last four meetings. In recent AZ matches it's been goals galore with 22 in four including an average of six in their last three. Back over 2.5 goals and consider taking over 3.5 too.

There are games in Holland, Belgium and Scandinavia and I'll check stats and team news before putting up tips in the morning.

Remember to check out We Love Betting for their latest tips and video chat.

Felt there were some great opportunities on the old-fashioned WDW markets tonight, and so it proved with majority of fancied teams (Liverpool, Man U, West Ham, Juve, Barca, Atletico, Real, Ajax) all winning. So why did I end up sticking Rangers in my nine-fold when it was obvious a goals bet was the way to go on that match? :-)
Think I was suckered in cos Rangers were odds-against for once!!

    • Alves 8 years ago

Hindsight eh, you’d be saying the same about others if they’d let you down but that’s the risk

    • superjim 8 years ago

I did the same, added in Rangers dnb to my other 5 correct. I do it all the time, sheff we’d last night, Arsenal at weekend. I’ll get these accas right one day.

  2. overtwo 8 years ago

Mr F, I had sturridge to score two in my bet. He said he scored and claiming it but bookies online say not.
Wat will happen in this situation? Never seen this before so any help or experience appreciated

    • Mr Fixit 8 years ago

overtwo, doesn’t matter what he says – it’s been officially awarded to Coutinho and that’s how bookies will pay out on unless you can convince them of unfair play.

  3. davros 8 years ago

Sturridge is having a laugh trying to claim that goal, Coutinho needs to ‘ave a quiet word with him!!!
    Typical striker ;-)

  4. Jordan 8 years ago

Mr F. You’re good to make my thread again.

Vincent Janssen is hanging with some of the best in Europe this season with his goals record, and despite playing his first season for AZ, I will be surprised if somebody doesn’t attempt to purchase him in the summer. His tally is now 25 in 31 and 5 in his last two. Den Haag defeated AZ at home in the reverse fixture, so payback could be on the way via the young dutch forward.

    Vincent Janssen (Alkmaar) Anytime @ 6/5 @ 365 – 2.5 points

Jordan, as it was before under Jordan?

    • Jordan 8 years ago

Yep. The hierarchy at work don’t mind as the majority of the time my tips posted aren’t the markets we trade in, and are more or less always posted before I get into work, so no inside information is being passed on here. You can pull my name for the Other Sports thread if you wish. NBA season isn’t far from over and won’t be posting anything until the NFL starts up again, and that’s not until September.

    • Mr Fixit 8 years ago

Jordan, that’s good to hear and hope you’re still enjoying it.
We’ll just leave your name on the sports thread but don’t worry if your not contributing.

Good to see Jordan, and hope you’re enjoying your job. Delighted you will still be posting tips on here I know a lot of the guys (me included) follow all your tips and keeps us all well in the black!

Anyone else received an email off Skybet saying their weekly Free bet is being cut down to a max of £5? Looks like Sky will be losing my custom as I only use them at the moment to get my £20 free bet a week.

    • Mr Fixit 8 years ago

gazh, there aren’t many bookies giving away £20 free bets every week – lucky if you get a fiver a week.

    • gazh 8 years ago

MrF-true but it used to be £50, Skybet can’t be doing that bad surely to cut it to a fiver and then suggest they’re doing it after listening to customer feedback about it.

    • Mr Fixit 8 years ago

gazh, depends on their reasoning. Are they doing it and increasing prices – how would customers say they wanted a smaller free bet?

Why are arsenal always so short? I get there quite a good team but they’re not that good to be 1.25 unless they are playing villa. When you watch them play they arent even that good, if anyone backs them as a bank builder you need to have a word with yourself lol.

Meanwhile, ill give you a bankroll builder tip.

Cambuur vs Willem II – Under 3.5 goals. Thank me later :)

    • Mr Fixit 8 years ago

harrybaines, I’d never back them at 1-4. They’re always a top-four team though so bookies won’t give much away.

    • harrybaines 8 years ago

Yeah i guess but they dont play like a top 4 team in my opinion, meanwhile liverpool are fun to watch :)

I fancy them to win the league next season or come second.

    • maccathered 8 years ago

you only have to look at how klopp has got joe allen and dejan lovren playing to tell you what a good manager he is,12 goals in three games and we still have ings and benteke to come back, one thing is for sure bright things are ahead for liverpool fc.

    • john smith 8 years ago

Mccathered, i don’t think Benteke will be ever make it at Liverpool. His work rate, movement and pace are well short of what Klopp clearly demands from his players. His strike rate is also not great but i do agree there are only good times ahead for Liverpool with Klopp in charge.

    • jorge1877 8 years ago

      Benteke though. Ooofftt.

    • theboss 8 years ago

We do not need Benteke any where near us!! he’s useless!

    • maccathered 8 years ago

And you are a liverpool fan because???us Liverpool fans stick by whoever plays for us.we don’t need plastics.

    • john smith 8 years ago

No i’m not a Liverpool fan but i’d bet you most Liverpool fans would be happy to see the back of Benteke and the money spent on someone else.

    • maccathered 8 years ago

If benteke came on in the euro final and scored the winner he would be hailed a hero, the thing is when a new player comes in you have to give them time,we know his finishing can be woeful but at the same time it can be deadly thats football, and klopps style of play is not suited to benteke (yet) klopp will use him somewhere along the lines and get the best out of him.Don’t slate him as he has scored some good goals for Lfc when he has been given a chance.

    • kyle b 8 years ago

This major new signing West Ham upon the move to the Olympic Stadium I bet turns out to be Christian Benteke, reckon the club will cut there losses like they did on Andy Carroll this summer

    • theboss 8 years ago

No but I know when someone is too shite to play for us and needs to go!

If you don’t see that then your obviously not watching the same games as I am when he plays so don’t give me that plastic rubbish.

      I’m being realistic!

That’s my opinion and I’m sticking with it! He should have never been brought to Liverpool in the first place he’s missed so many sitters it’s unforgivable.

    Tigres v Club America

2:45 AM for my friends in the UK
(9:45 PM EST for my EST)

CONCACAF Champions League Final 1st leg

Two teams from Mexico lace up their boots to face each other in the first leg of the final.

Both have played 14 games this season in the Mexican Clausura. Tigres have seen 9 of those games go over 2.5. America also has seen 9 of them go over.

America has only kept 2 clean sheets in 8 away in the CCL … Tigres have scored at least 2 goals in 5 of 8 home games in the tournament and both teams recently had games in the league where they netted 5 or more.

The bookies made the over really attractive at +145 and I feel that given Tigres poor away from, they want to get the job done tonight and try to close the door in the second leg. These teams just know each other too well so I expect some goals.

    Night Owl :

SOL DE AMÉRICA VS. DEPORTIVO CAPIATÁ (22.00 KO)

Paraguay has been a great stomping ground for goals this year and without hopefully jinxing tonight’s game, we could be cued up for more of the same…

America sit atop Division Profesional after 15 games and entertain 7th placed Capiata – note this is a league where teams sit tightly and no massive gulf in class.

Goals are the way here and the home sides most recent games have featured: 3-3-2-6-2- 0-2-6-5-4-2-7-3.

Capiata’s related stats compare favourably: 8-3-2-10-4-2-4-2-6-6.

    Some figures!

With a good wind, we’ll see 22 players on the pitch for at least the majority of the game and I’ll be taking the following selections:

    OVER 3.5 MGS…6/5
    (3 Points)
    **WON**

    OVER 4.5 MGS…11/4
    (1.5 Points)
    **WON**

    AMERICA WIN & BTTS…11/5
    (1.5 Points)
    **WON**

Celtic U20: I have been keeping tabs on their away games and foolishly after seeing a trend form the recent away form.i only backed it once and low and behold it didn’t pay out! Of their last 10 games away they have won 8/10 1-0 . when I first noticed it the odds were 18/1 and for a team on +52 I can see why. It’s currently 17/2. I know if I back it it will be agoal fest! Plus the fact they are playing a team that in the past 6 meets all have been over 2.5. At 6/4 on under 2.5 it’s also tempting but as I have said before I never play under card. But it’s one to watch. I don’t think there are many games left so it’s a tip I should have given a while back. Hindsight is such a wonderful thing ah?

    • -wato- 8 years ago

Joeyjoe, if 3 goals are scored you get your stake returned if 4 scored you win the bet so slightly different to the over 2.5 goals market

    • joeyjoe 8 years ago

Some fine wins yesterday, chaps. Inter failed to find the net to bring down the double, but old man Tot’s came on in the 86th minute and scored twice to secure the Roma win and BTTS.

Not much on today, but a lacklustre Arsenal that have no option but to attack while keeping a clean sheet is a bit large in my opinion. Baggies couldnt score away to Sunderland but either side of that game netted against an attack minded Man City and Leicester on their travels.

One bet that stands out for me today is AZ to score 2+ at around 4/5.

They have been in fine goal scoring form. Looking back at their last 15 in the league they have only failed to score at least twice 3 times in the last 15 games and even in those games they managed a goal.

As Jordan has highlighted they also have a goal scorer in great form.

Back to trebles with a smaller card and taking a chance on Milan to start putting pressure on Inter and Fiorentina who have both been dropping points of late. Milan should edge it against a side who don’t travel well- except at Genoa. This one was a toss up with Sociedad and Ganada who both host the poorest travellers in La Liga tonight but I felt Milan might have a slight better chance. The Norwegian top flight is still gathering form but Molde are traditionally a solid home side so backing them to beat Valerenga who have lost their opening 2 away trips. Lastly taking Osijek with draw no bet at home to Belupo. Its a tight looking match but only Dinamo Zagreb have beaten Osijek in their last 5 while Belupo have lost all 5 away games (1 cup and 4 league) in 2016. Looking at the table a draw might suit both here so covering that outcome.

Best of luck with your bets today

As I mentioned yesterday I’m going to start with doubles bets from today and see how I go. They’ve fared well for me in the past and should hopefully bring back some winners.

    Double one:

    La Liga 20:00
    Granada vs Levante – over 2.5 MG’s

    Norway Tippeligaen 18:00
Lillestrom vs Aalesund – over 1.5 Lillestrom TG’s

    5/2 **NAP**

Granada and Levante are both in the dropzone but they’ve shown signs of fight in recent weeks. This is a huge game and with both teams going for it and capable of scoring overs should come in.

Lillestrom have scored at least two goals in each of their last three games. Aalesund have lost four on the spin of which two were shipped on three occasions.

    Double two:

    Switzerland Super League 18:45
FC Thun vs FC Vaduz – over 1.5 FC Thun TG’s

    Norway Tippeligaen 18:00
    Molde vs Valerenga – BTTS

    2/1 **NB**

FC Vaduz have conceded at least two goals in six successive away matches. Thun, who’s last home result was a 2-1 victory over grasshoppers, should follow suit tonight.

All five of Molde’s opening matches have wittnessed BTTS. Valerenga have just recently blown away newly promoted Tromso 4-0, a team that have squeezed three draws out of their opening five matches

    Double three:

Lillestrom vs Aalesund vs – Lillestrom win & over 2.5 MG’s
Molde vs Valerenga – Molde win & BTTS

    6.13/1

    Good luck all

    Afternoon gents,

Going to be snarled up in meetings ’til much later so will pop these up now…

    WHITBY TOWN v DARLINGTON:

Darlo are smashing it this season and sit top with 3 games to go having broken 3 figures with 101 points to date.

They’ll not be easing off on the accelerator with Blyth 2 points behind and I see the leaders capitalising on this game in hand with a solid win.

It’s not too far off a local derby this one and Whitby will want to ensure their safety as well as a bit of pride.

Darlo’s goals go without saying but Whitby have managed to grab a goal in the majority of their home games.

    Selections:
    Over 3.5 mgs…11/10
    (2 Points)
    Darlington -1 on the h/cap…4/5

    VIKINGUR R v KR R:

Icelandic Cup action and there’s plenty to go at here – this is the 6th H2H in just over a year!

The previous 5 have seen scorelines of: 1-3…2-3…5-2…0-3…4-3 with Vikingur winning 5 to KR’s 2.

Vikingur look a big price but I’ll be siding with goals.

    Selections:
    Over 3.5 mgs…6/5
    (2 Points)
    Over 4.5 mgs…13/5
    (1 Point)

Night Owl front-runner looking like La Guiara v Estudientes (22.45 KO) and will try and pop reasoning up later.

    Selections:

    BTTS…5/6
    (2 points)
    OVER 2.5 MGS & BTTS…13/10
    (1 Point)

    Good luck ?

wat kind of tip is this Hullshaker Sir, The match can end now!!!

  48. nathanufton 8 years ago

A cautionary note for the season close: Team news is key when betting against teams who have nothing to play for. Its almost at that time when some managers will use the remaining games to take a look at fringe/loan signings and academy products. For many players, its also make or break time in their careers. Some are literally playing for their futures. So I guess it could be a double edged sword. But still, if you look carefully and do your homework, theres still some gems to be found.

Derby early-bird price is currently around evens with bet365 and the gaffer has re-iterated my ” word of the week ” – MOMENTUM.
Its Derby’s home form that has shone for much of the season but having a respectable 9 wins on the road is a Brucie-bonus. With Ross Wallace out for Saturdays fixture and Derbys front line queuing up for a pop at goal in the 6 yard box is great to see.

Chris Martin who has had literally no service for a few games – possibly being marked out of the game has given the likes of Ince and particularly Russell to find a rich vein of goals. Russell has been looking more dangerous this past 4 or 5 games and with Bryson providing and getting in on the goals, I’m inclined to think a -1 handicap could well be covered. It would be a great game to eek away at Hulls 5 goal advantage. The last 2 times the Owls have played us at the Ipro, they’ve been beaten most recently 3-2 and 3-0 the season before. Hillsborough is a tricky place to go sometimes, but the Ipro with practically a full house each week has to be a daunting prospect. I THINK if memory serves me right, the last home league game for Derby excluding the playoff’s.

    • kyle b 8 years ago

Never really understood why we let Ross Wallace go, he is a good crosser and is an extreme danger from set pieces. Defo knows where the back of the net is, he is just lacking that bit of PACE (Something all Burnley fans are craving for in the wide areas) Hell id take Tom Ince off your hands any day, exactly what we need. I agree with you that you will get the win this weekend, even may be worth a small stake on the handicaps. Think if we beat Preston on Friday night, we are as good as promoted (Might regret saying that) coz I cant see QPR being much of a threat at turf moor as they are a different proposition away from home and Charlton are dead and buried. MOMENTUM is exactly what you need going into the play offs, the way your going id have your side down to win it

Don`t know if anyone has mentioned this already,
But just saw that Ladbrokes are saying that this years Cheltenham festival was the “Worst in living memory”
Big losses after a string of favourites winning at the Festival,
They also stand to loose 3million if Leicester win the league.

I guess that most other Bookies are in the same boat
    I’m gutted for them………………..Honestly

    • Mr Fixit 8 years ago

eddie o, they might lose £3m on Leicester but think how much they’ll make from all the people who backed Chelsea, Man City and maybe even Liverpool and Man Utd at the start of the season.

Correct Score: Arsenal 1-0 West Brom @ 15/2
West Brom seem to have clocked off for the season and Arsenal need to cling on to 4th place. Could be an extremely boring game and Arsenal might nick it by a goal. Looked at Sanchez but odds of around 9/2 aren’t great in fairness. The Gunners look tired. They really missed a great chance this year to win the league. Once United, City and Chelsea spend hundreds of millions in the summer, their chance will probably have gone for another few years.

Milan v Capri – Di Gaudio to score AT @ 7/1
Carpi are fighting for their lives in Seria A. Milan have a new coach and are counting the days before sending Balotelli back to Liverpool. The home side will probably win but Carpi should get on the score sheet, out of desperation if nothing else, so Di Gaudio has a chance to get on the scoresheet.

    Granada v Levante: Over 4.5 goals @ 8/1
A relegation battle. Both sides are capable of scoring goals, but more importantly, they concede at a pretty fast rate as well. If an early goal goes in, the floodgates could open.

    Afternoon all!
Still early doors in Norway, but Molde appear to be settling in nicely, and are amongst the goals. Strongly fancied to make home advantage tell this evening ( 4/7) and I’m going with small stakes:
    MOLDE-1 11/8.

    • kyle b 8 years ago

Hmmmmm……I think I seem to be the only one that doesn’t think there will be many goals in this game tonight

    • geoff50 8 years ago

Arsenal always manage to fool people. West Brom won’t make it easy for them. Pulls will still expect a performance and I can see a draw at half time with Arsenal eventually getting the job done.

    • kyle b 8 years ago

I was thinking along the same lines, 0-0 at halftime and Arsenal edging the win by full time. I know the Baggies have nothing to play for but I cant see a drubbing! You gotta be at least a bit worried though when Greg posts the game down as one of his Goal NAPS

      Double
      Probably both 2-0
Reasons are wba are in end of season mode but won’t be hammered.
Carpi are garbage and if they couldn’t score at chievo in their last away game they won’t here.
They have also blanked in 4 of last 5 aways.

Evening gents. No luck with Janssen tonight. Did fancy AZ to score twice but my theory was if they were scoring more than once he was probably going to be one of them. Wasn’t meant to be. Well done to any winners. Tips already up for tomorrow.

Ty buddy, that third goals looked like it was coming but it was never meant to be for the Arsenal backers.Gonna have a thorough look into Fridays card in the early hours of the morning and see what I can pick out. Already taken Jordans tips after looking into them in a bit more depth, hope you have a corker lined up for tomorrow as you had a no bet day today. Ill be keeping an eye out for it ;)

I’ve been looking through tomorrow’s card for a while now may well have something going up soon. Have to say Jordan’s Nice tip looks very decent at a very good price. Close margins today on the main bets, a goal short by Lillestrom and Valerenga couldn’t net despite finishing with superior stats in all departments to Molde who schooled them. This rank run continues but Im not particularly worried as I undertand these things are just a permutation of gambling in general where the law of averages dictates that anything can happen. Hi Guys

a few of you may remember me but im only getting back to you all now as my wife was ill as MR F, Greg, Jordan and a few others may remember. Well she is 70% better now and as i have 10mins to myself again i thought i would comment with my bet for tomorrow and weekend saying as i have still been following you all everytime i get 5mins to myself to log in and look. just remember all, Betting is great but it needs to be controlled and when someone’s health is affected then you realise that there is more to life than gambling even though we all LOVE IT ;)

    Friday WDW

    Nice 4/5
    Sparta Rotterdam 8/11
Burnley (have to take them at that price) 11/10
    St Pauli 2/1
    Bourg Peronnas 11/4

pays £734.52 for a £10 stake with Hills

bourg IMO are a decent side and french ligue prices are madness considering someone tipped TRAPANI other night and that was a great spot, bourg have scored 16 or more goals more than their opponents i believe and at 11/4 i have to take them. like i say, follow if you want but everyone is free to do their own thing. St pauli decent away record and well ahead in table and are 2/1 because not playing at home mainly.

BEST OF LUCK and well done to MR F and jordan and greg recently and Hullshaker who is chipping in with a nice few winners
