EVERY Saturday William Hill's Owen Scott and McBookie's Paul Petrie do battle in the junior football challenge and their back after a festive break.
The dynamic duo will be putting up trebles every weekend and Owen leads the way with winnings of £206.48 to Paul's £95.54. Last week Owen's games were all postponed and Paul had two correct out of three.
For those who don't know anything about junior football the level of the top clubs is equivalent or in some cases better than Scottish League 2 outfits and we can gauge that easier now with the champions of the three regions – North, East and West – qualifying to play in the William Hill Scottish Cup along with the Junior Cup winners.
The term “junior” has nothing to do with players' ages and it often confuses people outside Scotland. Some of the top clubs such as Auchinleck, Hurlford, Pollok, Bo'ness and Linlithgow pay bigger wages than most League 1 and League 2 teams and therefore attract players who could be plying their trade at a higher level.
McBookie list all games online and take bets on every junior match while William Hill only take bets in shops. Here is this weekend's tips from Paul and Owen.

Owen writes: With rainstorms on Friday the weather could again be a problem this weekend.  There is a mixture of cup ties and league matches in the West Region and I'm starting my treble with a league encounter.

Blantyre at 5-4 at home to Greenock is my first pick. Vics are three points behind Greenock but have played four games fewer and I expect them to close this gap this week.

Match of the day in the East is the Linlithgow v Kelty match where a home win could see Linlithgow back in the title race and a defeat would more than likely see it as all over for them. I reckon they will get the points so I'm taking Rose at 13-8 to stay alive.

To complete the treble I'm staying in the East and taking Hill of Beath at evens at home to Musselburgh. Burgh's early-season form seems to have left them and I'm on a home win for this to continue.

Paul writes: First up I am backing a draw in the Linlithgow v Kelty game at 3-1. This is a must-win game for both sides if they are going to lift the title but I just feel that they will let the opportunity slip. Both teams have been lacking consistency this season and this has all the makings for a cagey affair.

Next I am going for Hurlford to beat Troon at 4-6. Troon have been excellent this season and have had some brilliant performances. However, Hurlford know how to raise their game on the big occasions and can get right back in the title race with three points.

Finally, I am picking a cup game and going for Forfar West End to beat Falkirk at 7-10. West End ended 2015 in good form and have continued that during 2016. The only downside is their better performances have come away from home so that could be a slight worry. Having said that Falkirk aren’t great on their travels so this could be a perfect game for Forfar to progress to the next round
