THE snooker World Championships continue at the Crucible today with two former champs eyeing a second-round spot.
John Higgins has won the title four times – most recently in 2011 – and should have few problems finishing the job against Martin Gould who trails 7-2 in the first to 10 showdown.
Higgins' fellow Scot Graeme Dott, who conquered the Crucible in 2006, gets his campaign under way and is 12-5 at bet365 to see off Ali Carter (2-5, Ladbrokes).

Clippers were embarrassed in Game 1, losing even though Jazz had lost Rudy Gobert through injury, a buzzer beater by Joe Johnson gave Jazz a 2 point win.
The media have been slating them, and a response is needed. Clippers have lost 5 straight playoff games dating back to the Portland series last season.
Rudy Gobert will miss this game too and because of that the line opened at -7, quickly jumped to -8.. and now it’s at -9.
Warriors, Spurs and Rockets have all won home games by double digits, now it’s time for the Clippers to show that they are contenders with a double digit win of their own.
