Apr 17: The Saint Greg Browning’s Goals Tips

GregBrowningTips

IT’S been a good weekend for Greg and he’s hoping to finish on a Sunday best.

He says: “It’s derby day today and it’s the match everyone has been waiting for … Rapid Vienna v Austria Vienna haha! More of that one later but I’ll start with the low-key contest at Hampden.

You’ll see I have two Naps which is controversial but really fancy both. So take your pick – or risk the double.

Rangers v Celtic (12pm)

I’ve not had much of an opinion on this match despite being surrounded by Old Firm fans. The general view is this should be closer than last time with Celtic edging it 2-1 or 3-1. I don’t disagree with that view. Rangers are missing key personnel and the reality is Celtic have better players. Let’s not forget Rangers are playing their trade against the likes of Dunbarton and Alloa and defensively haven’t been too clever. Celtic should manage to find the net a few times against a suspect Rangers defence! Not the biggest of prices but should land.

Back Celtic over 1.5 team goals 4-6 (Bet365) (NAP)

Leicester v West Ham (1.30pm)

It feels like Clydebank were a senior club the last time Ranieri’s men conceded a goal – for me though all good things must come to an end and I’m taking West Ham to score. The Foxes have kept clean sheets in 8 of their last 10 which is incredible – they’ve not conceded in 5 but face a Hammers side who have scored in 11 consecutive matches against the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea, Man Utd and Spurs! Lecicester will need to score twice if they are to win today.

Back West Ham to score before 70 mins 5-6 (Bet365) (NAP)

Rapid Vienna v Austria Vienna (3.30pm)

It’s that time of the season again – the Vienna Derby and if you trail back through the site’s archives I’ve probably tipped this gane for goals in each of the last 5 or 6 meetings over the last few seasons. The last 7 have ended over 2.5 goals and the only surprise last time was BTTS didn’t trap with Rapid winning 3-0. Going for goals again here.

Back over 2.5 match goals 8-11 (Skybet)

wouldn’t say that’s controversial , I think its spot on, celtic well capable of 2 goals, had already fancied west ham to score too .plus law of averages , leicester will concede at some point.

Hi @gregbrowning – I am struggling to find that West Ham bet on the bet365 site – where do I find it as I fancy that one

The Celtic v Rangers game looks a good bet. I personally wouldn’t bet anything against Leicester right now.

I think the Austria Vienna lead goalscorer (Gorgon) could be a doubt today although hard to tell if that will affect the 2.5 stake!

jabee68, it’s not looking good at the moment. 1-0 Rangers HT but surely Celtic will improve in the second half.

    No luck today sorry gents

West Ham scored as thought, within 70 mins was the only value I could find other than BTTS at 3/4

As for Celtic, Roberts missing an open goal didn’t help!

Just the way it goes sometimes – fine margins! Poor end to a decent week! Good luck with those with still bets to run!

Hopefully the real Derby in Vienna softens the blow!
