THE DAY started with a couple of near misses and ended with a last-gasp goal to bring up a both to score treble.
I was one goal short on my Top Treble after taking over 2.5 goals at Roma and Sunderland's late equaliser beat the West Ham Super Single.
However, there was no damage done on the day as Den Haag netted after 88 minutes to bring up my 21-5 both to score treble.
Den Haag's goal also brought up the members bet and the daily double on the app won again so it was a satisfactory day.
Greg's nap lost but his double on Everton and Rangers was a good one. And well done to all those who commented with winners.
The Easter Sunday card isn't great but does feature Man United v Chelsea – and I expect the Blues to win or draw. If I get a chance I've posted a separate preview on the Old Trafford clash with West Brom v Liverpool another tough one to call.
In Scotland champions Celtic head to Ross County and having seen their starting line-up I'd expect the champions to win well as long as they're in the mood. I suggested comeback star Tom Rogic as a first scorer at 7-1 while the Aussie is 2-1 to net at any time.
For my Tob Treble I'm going for three teams who could win but who I don't expect to lose – Chelsea as well as Eibar at Real Betis and Werder Bremen at home to Hamburg.
Eibar are in goood nick after three wins in a row and travel to a Betis outfit who have lost their last three to Las Palmas, Villarreal and Espanyol.
Another side in great form are Werder Bremen after five wins and a draw in their last six. All of those victories have been by at least two goals and they have won five of their last six at home to Hamburg. Their visitors have been in decent form, losing one in six, but this should be Bremen's day.
I've added a goals and for a Super Single I thought about Werder Bremen, Bastia against a weakened Lyon and even Tony Adams's Granada at home to Celta Vigo but in the end I'm putting a lot of faith in Chelsea and backing them draw no bet.

It was a story of two halves for my Saturday picks – Spurs scored twice for the Over 1.5 FHGS winner and Darlo hit a brace to bring in the Over 1.5 SHGS in their game!

I’m not usually one for an overnight punt, and it’s likely I’ll be asleep while this one is underway, but I can’t resist the lure of goals in Houston. Houston host new franchise Minnesota who, though might not be giving their new fans many points to celebrate, have certainly been providing them with goals. A massive 32 goals have been scored in the 6 MLS games Minnesota have played thus far, 22 of which have been at the wrong end from their perspective.
Equally goal-friendly, Houston have seen 20 goals scored in their opening 5 fixtures. They’ve won 2-1, 3-1 and 4-1 at home this season, but have taken a couple of comprehensive beatings on their travels. This game points to goals, and the bookies know that, but I’m willing to take a chance on Minnesota scoring to give the price some juice. They failed to do so at Dallas last time out, but Dallas have started the season very tightly, whereas Houston have yet to keep the sheets clean.

This Easter time off has certainly opened my nocturnal eyes to some leagues I wouldn’t usually delve into…
After the States, Japan calls, and with the kick off between Tokyo and Urawa at 6am, I’ll likely sleep through this one, too. Again, statistically this is a game I can’t resist. Urawa have started the season in blistering form. Runners-up in the league last season, Urawa have knocked in 20 goals in their opening 6 games and have conceded a few, too. Even their 4 Asian Champions League games have seen a total of 17 goals.
Both sides have scored in 5 of Urawa’s 6 games, and it was only Vegalta (who have scored just 3 goals so far this campaign) who failed to notch when Urawa smashed them 7-0 at home. On their travels, Urawa have conceded in all three games, winning just once. This morning’s opponent’s Tokyo average 3 goals a game in their opening six and have been particularly solid on their own turf. 2-0 and 3-0 wins stand alongside a 3-3 draw, while they similarly dispatched Vegalta 6-0 in the cup.
Urawa look capable of scoring anywhere, and their vulnerability to conceding should be exposed by a seemingly solid side like Tokyo. However, there’s an astonishing stat that convinced me on this one – and that’s the head to head record. An almost ludicrous 10 of the last 11 meetings in all competitions between these two sides have seen the BTTS and O2.5 Match Goals market soar in. With this in mind, the price on this morning seeing the same outcome is more than fair.
