Apr 15: Mr Fixit’s Top Tips

MRF_TopTips_Genting

I WAS correct with two out of three on my Europa League preview and three out of four on my fourfold but that wasn’t good enough to boost my points tally.

Sevilla losing in 90 minutes but going through on penalties beat my 4-1 fourfold that would have wiped out the losses. On the preview post I went for both to score at Sparta Prague and Philippe Coutinho at 31-10 to score for Liverpool.

Neither Jordan or Greg posted tips but Greg commented about going for early goals in all four Europa League ties. Two came up at odds of around 3-1 each and I like Greg’s thinking outside the box tips.

So we reach Friday – a day I love and hate. With my Daily Record pages to finish I don’t have much time to look at Friday’s fixtures and I always feel I’m missing out.

In the English Championship there are two vital games – Brighton v Fulham and Hull v Wolves – and I imagine most people will be looking at home wins. In fact I can’t see past either so advising a double.

There are top-flight games in Spain, Germany, France and others and of course we have the lower-league French and Dutch games loved by many including Greg.

I like Lyon at home to Nice and there should be goals between Hannover and Monchengladbach but for now the double is all I’m advising.

On Monday every Jupiler League match went over 2.5 goals with all but one team scoring so that could be the place to go for goals again. I don’t have time to do research but as I did on Monday might back five or six at random – including the two Greg has highlighted.

Greg’s Friday goals tips are posted and Jordan has put up some early Saturday tips and will comment with reasoning tomorrow morning so watch out for that.

Remember to check out We Love Betting for their latest tips and video chat.

borrussia m,gladbach o1.5tg and lyon o 1.5tg 100 dbl pays £242 looks really good ,,lyon have scored twice or more in last 5 games and borrussia are capable of scorring 2 or more against a poor hannover side that have lost 4 and drawn one in last 5 games

Day off tomorrow, so I am going to treat myself to some Aussie football in the morning. Brisbane Roar face Melbourne Victory in a knockout contest which should see plenty of corners, especially as their 2 recent meetings have seen an absolute shed load. The corner line would be good enough as a single, but I have decided to include it in a treble:

Brisbane Roar v Melbourne Victory over 9.5 corners (Australia, 10:40am)
Haugesund v Lillestrom over 8.5 corners (Norway, 6pm)
Legia Warsaw v Lech Poznan over 8.5 corners (Poland, 7:30pm)

Pays just short of 9/5 (Bet365)

The meetings between the Polish sides this season have seen plenty of corners, and the Norwegian sides have made good starts to the season on the corner front.

I know very little about these leagues, and the Norwegian has only just started up again, so low stakes only for a bit of Friday fun (hopefully the bet is still alive come the afternoon).

    Morning gents,

    BRIGHTON v FULHAM:

Seems as though everyone up at the top keep getting the heebie-jeebies as it comes down to the crunch.

I thought Forest were unlucky to not get a point mid-week as Brighton stole the points late on but the Seagulls did look vulnerable throughout the game.

In fact, despite their good run of ‘point-gathering’, most of Brighton’s games have been close calls; 11 of their last 15 have seen a goal or less seperating the two sides!

BTTS has featured in 4 of their last 5 games and aside from Burnley, the other 3 sides (Forest, Birmingham and MK Dons) are arguably not the ‘strongest’ of opponents.

If we continue the BTTS theme, tonight’s opponents Fulham have seen 5/5 or 11/15 meeting the criteria.

Yes, I fancy the win for Brighton and Over 1.5 tgs really appeals but just can’t rule out a Fulham goal and value-wise I think the following is worth a go:

    BTTS & OVER 2.5 MGS…11/8
    (2 Points)

    Good luck with all bets👍

Brisbane Roar O1.5 tg is a good price at evens. Home form looks good for this to win. On with a point and half. Kicks off at 10.35am -or several minutes after, Aussies don’t give a flaming galaaaa about KO times-

Hi mate, they have not beat den Bosch in the last 3 games but they have not been in such good form as they are now, den Bosch put 5 past Telstar in their last home game but did concede 6 in the game at home before that. Almere have won their last 3 on the road all against teams below them in the table and den Bosch are below them, there will be goals for definite from both sides but with the confidence Almere have I can see them winning and @ 21/10 it’s got to be worth a go

I usually put up oz tips and there is a big game today with victory vs brisbane I see early and late goals both teams need to go for this but I’m not tipping it today. I’m going French national along with a 5 fold acca. Chambly vs orleans over 2.5 at 23/20 is my big value bet I’ll post my acca soon

  10. Profile photo of kierons
    kierons 8 months ago

    My acca today is:

Bourg Vs Metz – Over 1.5 mgs
Chambly Vs Orleans – Over 2.5 mgs
Brighton Vs Fulham – Over 2.5 Mgs
RB Leipzig – Over 1.5 Tgs
De Graaf Vs FC Twente – Over 2.5 mgs

This comes to 9/1 and the goal crazy Jupiler league all over 2.5, games I like are:

    Ajax Vs RKC
    Oss Vs Telstar
    Den Bosh Vs Almere City
    NAC Vs PSV
    VVV over 1.5 tgs

All together that is 64/1 seems pretty far fetched but I have won on many of these and for the sake of a £1 it always worth a fun bet. Feel free to take off any of these for shorter odds or if you are feeling adventurous.

Have the Brighton, Ajax, Den Bosch, Oss and Twente games all at over 2.5 btts.

    Sweeettttt!!!

    Good luck!!

    Afternoon gents

Friday’ s for me usually consist of focusing on the 2nd tier matches in France and Holland and today is no different, although I have identifed a lower league Lithuanian match that should appear inplay for gosls

    Lens v Ajaccio KO 7pm

The hosts still have an outside chance of catching 2nd place Nancy and being back on home turf will suit them! They don’t lose many at home and welcome a travel sick Ajaccio! When I say most of Ajaccios good work is done at home, I mean it – 75% of their points have been collected at home and they have the worst away recors in the league! They’ve suffered two heavy away defeata ins recsnt weeks against teams not nearly as strong as Lens! It’s a home win for me

    Back Lens to win

    VVV v Fortuna
    Odd v Telstar

A case could be made for both all the games in this legaue to see goals especially after Monday’s exploits that saw my biggest single day profot from one league ! These two look the best in my humble opinion!

Back over 2.5 Match goals double 19/20 (Bet365) (NB)

    Lithuania 1 Lyga

Zalgiris II v Silias KO 4pm

Been 33 goals scored in the opening 3 matches each of the have played! Silias are top of the league winning 5-0 6-1 5-0

    Inplay goals

    Over 1.5 First half goals

    Tennis…

    Gael Monfils v Marcel Granollers – 2.30pm

Crazy odds of 4/1 on Granollers who has beaten Monfils 3 out of their last 4 meetings…the last one was on clay last year (as is today’s match) and even beat him in his own back yard in 2013.

Not sure Granollers has enough to see it through as Monfils is playing some excellent stuff but over 2.5 sets at 2/1 is really nice and I also like there to be a tie break in the match at 6/4.

I’m gonna have a point on each.

Good luck to me and you and Marcel.

    Germany Bundedliga 2

RP Leipzig over 2.5 team goals 5/4.

    Belgium Play Offs

Gent vs KV Oostende – Gent win & BTTS 21/10 **NAP**

KV Oostende have not travelled well since the turn of the year losing five from six of their away matches played. Three of these losses saw the above market met. Gent are generally quite strong at home and should win tonight given Oostende’s poor away record but of late they’ve started conceding goals more frequently there; a goal in three sucessive matches has been put past them and with Oostende being the type of team that can play decent stuff in patches the match will probably see BTTS.

De Graafschap vs FC Twente – BTTS
Ajax Reserves vs RKC – over 2.5 MG’s

    5/4 **NB**

Afternoon chaps, wow already some great winning tips today, I myself took up the over 11 corners in the Aussie bash, and was more than happy when just checking in to notice an extra 5 pts to the tally, @Mr Corners, again pointing punters in the right direction!😍

    LEIPZIG v sandhausen.
Already noticed Sam has posted similar, anyway he’s my two pennies worth!
    LEIPZIG -1 4/5
    LEIPZIG -2 21/10.

    SUMMARY
Leipzig are flying on home soil at present, winning 7 on the bounce, and free scoring. Their opponents are totally out of form, and conceding goals aplenty. Their last six games, five defeats, 1 draw, have seen them ship 13 goals, eight of those in the last 3 games. If Leipzig manage to score early it wouldn’t surprise me if this turned into a rout. If not, Leipzig continued pressure will pay dividends in the second half, as stats back up.

3 home teams today. Fairly high cofindence on the two Red Bull sides but a bit more wary on the Danish pick given Nordsjaelland couldn’t beat the 2nd bottom side in their last home game- Esbjerg are in better form than Hobro though. It one the toss up between Nordsjaelland, Red Star (France) and RNK Split for the 3rd selection.

    Kapfenberg v WACKER INNSBRUCK 7/4
    Quick summary
KAPFENBERG have given me plenty of away day highs, there away form this season has been outstanding, In total contrast to home form, which is to say the least, shocking!Their opponents today happen to be another good team that enjoy their travels! Personally believe WACKER will need to score at least twice to win this game, thus BTTS and over 2.5 match goals looks appealing.

*LOST* (1 corner short in the Polish game)

Apologies to anyone that was on.

Great tipping again mate, and don’t worry about that 1 goal. They had close to 15 minutes to get it in. If they had kept up the pace it would’ve sailed in easily. Keep on trucking!

@Mr Corners, enjoyed the ride, I thought the bet had won on bet365, all 3 games were ticked and I moved on, I’m assuming they chalked off the ‘9 th’ corner that appeared in summary of game? 😟

      • Profile photo of dt4854
        dt4854 8 months ago

Didn’t see a 9th corner, Warktheline. Kinda glad I didn’t cos that would have been annoying!

Without doubt pal, 9th corner showed on summary, then disappeared ! As I say, my bet had all 3 ticks up, bet was then removed, I wrongly assumed I was about to be credited.

Ah well. I must have missed that. There were quite a few offsides at the end – perhaps the ball did go out for a corner, but then play was brought back.

    Belgium Play Offs

Gent vs KV Oostende – Gent win & BTTS 21/10 **NAP** LOST FT 2-0

De Graafschap vs FC Twente – BTTS
Ajax Reserves vs RKC – over 2.5 MG’s

A frustrating evening after picking the only Eerste Divisie game to end 0-0 :( Oostende had a lot of chances to score especially in the last 30 mins with one attempt flashing right across the face of goal at the death but it was’nt to be. Onwards…

Well done Brighton and any backers – I needed a Fulham goal but to no avail…Over 2 5 mgs & BTTS…lost.

Night Owl sees me over in Paraguay and it’s a league that’s been generous for goals so far this season.

GENERAL DÍAZ VS. RUBIO ÑÚ (22.00 KO)

Diaz appear to be on the slide with back to back defeats against Guarani and Caballero who are two of the only 4 teams who lie beneath them.

On recent form, Rubio Nu replicate Diaz with 2 losses to teams beneath them.

Difficult then to seperate the two for any WDW credit but as ever well worth taking in the ‘goals history’.

Diaz have seen only 2 of their last 15 games feature less than 3 match goals and all 6 of their last home fixtures have gone Over 2.5.

Rubio Nu’s games are hardly threadbare where goals are concerned and 60% of their last 25 have seen 3+.

Perhaps something to factor in is that Rubio’s away goal record isn’t great but I still reckon there’s enough in the mix to see at least 3 goals.

Having watched both teams a few times this season it’s also worth considering the corner market here.

End to end play often results in ‘boot it oot’ defending as players try and bring their pulse rates beneath what I’d imagine would give the average man a near heart attack after a 300 yard pitch sprint with possibly a leg-breaking tackle or two in-between 😂

Usual caveat of red cards but I’ll be on:

    OVER 2.5 MGS…7/10
    (5 POINTS)

    OVER 13 CORNERS…11/4
    (1 POINT)

    Good luck 👍

Write up for tomorrows bets as promised (Not that it makes them anymore likely of landing).

Every time I seem to have the courage in backing my own side this season they never come good. Then out of nowhere they pull off the upset, which in my opinion is why Louis Van Gaal still has a job. I thought West Ham wouldn’t lose midweek but h2h suggest different, and the trend continued. This weekend h2h suggest Villa won’t get much at Old Trafford, losing 9 of the last 10 overall, and 16 of their 18 trips to the theatre of dreams in their history. I’ve selected this market as I think @ 4/9 (when posted yesterday) it offers decent value. Villa, despite losing 9 of their last 10 overall, have only lost once with oVer 4.5 goals in the game which was the 6-0 thumping by Liverpool back in February. United, despite their inconsistent performances have the best home defence this season, only conceding 7 goals. With another game at home to Palace in the week, this should be a win for United with Villa hopeless and all but relegated. I can’t see us giving them a thumping. We have only seen over 3.5 goals at Old Trafford twice all season in wins against Liverpool (3-1) and Arsenal (3-2). United have a good history at home to Villa, but we’re not goal machines, and hopefully not tomorrow. I even think the United win and Under 3.5 @ 4/5 is worth a go which is why I have it in the longer odds double.

Last season English football was mocked by Europe when we had no teams challenging for European glory, but this year we have a team in both semi finals of both competitions. Manchester City will still be in high spirits after their qualification against the French giants in the week, and catch Chelsea still with injuries to key players, and without a clean sheet at Stamford Bridge in their last 9 league fixtures. City have a very winnable game at Newcastle in the week so focus should be here for now. They haven’t failed to score at Stamford Bridge since 2012, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see the man they let go (Kevin De Bruyne) have a say in this game after his winner in the week, scoring in 4 of his last 5 in all competitions, and missing out on City’s 3-0 win in the reverse fixture. Surprising Yaya Toure was rested against PSG and should return here today. City DNB is more of a punt than a tip, but for me are the better side at the moment and could well get 3 points.

Matty Taylor is one of the most clinical men in English football this season for Bristol Rovers. With 25 goals in 41 appearances, he leads League Two by two goals and has scored 8 goals in his last 7 consecutive league games, and helping them secure a point at already promoted Northampton last weekend. They host a Yeovil side who are near the bottom of the table but are more than likely safe with 5 games remaining, while Bristol could well get automatic promotion if they can continue their excellent run at home where they have won 11 of their last 15. Taylor is odds on everywhere else so I think this offers decent value @ 11/10 with Paddys.

Good luck with your punts gents.

Evening Jordan, hope you are well pal – bit messy last night and I’ll happily offer the Olive branch and hope we can move on?

Agreed re City tomorrow – god knows they’ve let themselves and the fans down domestically but PSG (in my opinion) are a step or 3 ahead of most Prem sides and City held their own.

Chelsea will no doubt pose a threat but I see City closing the season strongly – I’ve championed KDB for a while now and think he’s a great player.

          Selection for me is:

          Manchester City Over 1.5tgs…5/4
          (2 Points)
