I WAS cursing the toss of a coin that made me go with Brighton ahead of Las Palmas as the Super Single but in the end both won.
A late goal is always welcome so the Super Single profit is looking a bit healthier. I had Las Palmas not to lose on the Top Treble but Malmo were a goal short and Roma would have let me down anyway.
Malmo also downed Jordan’s tip but it was a good night for Greg with his Under-21 tips. I suggested goals at Achilles v Helmond and Telstar v NAC but in the end all the Jupiler League games went over 2.5 with only Dordrecht failing to score.
Greg’s always banging on about backing them blindly and was on the accumulator at 62-1 – as many others will have been.
Tuesday’s a busy night although I’m not looking at masses of games. I’ve posted a Champions League preview covering Man City v PSG and Real Madrid v Wolfsburg. In short I fancy PSG and Real to qualify.
In Scotland it’s Inverness v Hearts in the Premiership and Hibs v Falkirk and Dumbarton v Queen of the South in the Championship.
Falkirk at 22-5 with Marathonbet are my Super Single in the Daily Record against a Hibs side with just one win in seven and possibly with one eye on Saturday’s Scottish Cup semi-final against Dundee United. The Bairns are worth a small risk and for the Super Singles on the site I’m going with Falkirk draw no bet at 11-4 with bet365 and PSG to win tonight.
I’m also looking at Dumbarton at home to Queen of the South at 11-5 with McBookie and bet365. The Sons are fighting to avoid a relegation play-off while Queens’ defeat at home to Raith last weekend ended their hopes of a top-four slot – they did though thump their rivals 6-0 in Dumfries last month.
Having looked at closely at the card my goals treble is both to score at Falkirk and Notts County and over 2.5 goals at Man City. Hibs and Falkirk have fought out two 1-1 draws this season and before that the last meeting at Easter Road was 3-3.
Falkirk’s last five matches have totalled 19 goals while Hibs have conceded in their last six.
I thought about taking Notts County who have been revived under new boss Mark Cooper but Hartlepool are on a good run too with four wins in five including a 5-2 success at Morecambe at the weekend so going for goals.
I’m putting a lot of faith in PSG tonight. It’s in for a penny in for a pound and to score 2+ starts my treble. Add Middlesbrough at home to Reading as they bid to return to the top of the Championship at home to Reading.
Boro have won four in a row and hit form at the right time while Reading suffered a 2-0 defeat at home to Birmingham at the weekend and being stuck mid-table have little to play for.
Complete the line with Dumbarton not to lose at home to QoS. The Sons are two points clear of second-bottom Livi with two games in hand so a win would be massive. They could get it but I’m keeping the draw on side and going with Dumbarton not to lose as they did in their last home match with Morton.
That 6-0 loss last month is a concern but the Sons have more motivation and they did win 2-1 at home in January.
Jordan’s tip and reasoning is on the comments section and I’ve listed it here.
And please don’t follow us if you’re on the side of Man City tonight.
