FOX NORTON (2.25) hacked up in last year's Shloer Chase and is poised to follow up on the final day at Cheltenham. He had nine lengths to spare over Simply Ned, with Special Tiara the same distance adrift in third.

The Unibet Greatwood Handicap Hurdle is a real head scratcher with any number of horses sporting leading claims. FLYING TIGER (3.00) was trading around 16-1 and that has tempted me into a solid each-way bet.

Flying Tiger is 5lb better off with his recent Wincanton conqueror London Prize but will be better suited by this big field as he landed the 22-runner Fred Winter Juvenile Handicap Hurdle over course and distance.

My two each-way bets hit the frame in yesterday's BetVictor Chase to yield a small profit and Elgin is the other string to my bow given his liking for soft ground.
