RECORDMAN (4.25) looks ready to break his duck at Chelmsford City. Saeed Bin Suroor’s son of Dubawi has been placed on his last three starts and Recordman’s latest third to Elasia and Ben Vrackie at Newcastle couldn’t have worked out any better.
Elasia trotted up by four lengths at Kempton on Wednesday evening, while Ben Vrackie strolled home by 11 lengths next time at Lingfield.
ZAAKI (3.05) can win a cracking renewal of the Rose Of Lancaster Stakes at Haydock. Sir Michael Stoute’s colt is 12lb better off with Communique for his short head defeat at Newmarket 29 days
ago, with the winner going in again at Goodwood to give the form a very solid appearance.
Elwazir, a son of Frankel, has been impressive in winning both starts this summer and remains progressive.
AGROTERA (2.30) was one of the big Royal Ascot gambles when scooping the Sandringham Stakes
and she can take this step up in class in her stride.
WAR GLORY (3.40) has been in the grip of the handicapper for some time but Richard Hannon has found him a slightly easier opening, with Gary Mahon’s 5lb claim a help. Stall four is ideal and War
Glory is capable of hitting the frame at least in this big field.
Jim Goldie saddled Euchen Glen to score on the Shergar Cup card 12 months ago and a chance is taken on NICHOLAS T (2.15) in the hope that his stamina lasts out trying this new 1m 4f trip. There
are several exposed middle-distance handicappers in the line-up and Nicholas T has a sharp turn of
foot if his new rider is able to find adequate cover.
