YORKSHIRE trainer Tim Easterby has been a good friend to punters through the summer and he should be among the winners at Ripon courtesy of MIKMAK (3.30) and AASHEQ (4.05)

The former ran at Ripon 12 days ago and found only revitalised Thomas Cranmer just too strong close home. Aasheq rather set up the race for bang-in-form Rainbow Rebel when cutting out the donkey work at Chester last Friday. The gelding remains in top form and can defy a 4lb rise.

Easterby also saddles last year’s winner Mukhayyam with an obvious chance but the track was riding soft 12 months ago. He finished behind Aasheq at Chester in May but is a massive 18lb better off. It could be significant David Allan sticks with my selection.

Roger Fell’s consistent AD LIBITUM (5.15) took an age to wear down the Simon Crisford-trained Eyecatcher over course and distance but there was an 18 lengths gap back to a fancied third horse which suggests the form is solid. There should be a solid gallop with confirmed frontrunner Multellie going to post.

At Haydock this evening BERLUSKA (7.30) should go well at his favourite track. He hacked up over course and distance in June and has since produced two fine placed efforts off his new mark here. Josh Bryan takes off 3lb.

Saturday is about random horses winning, so it isnt ideal glancing through the cards picking those which look like they should win, so small stakes mulyiples for these bad boys. No studying involved whatsoever.

Each to there own Database sir but I got a Yankee up on a Saturday about 6 weeks back and 2 Saturdays in a row lately have been very decent. Its definetly tougher races I get that but it was either with studying or due to the boys on here as to why I done so well,Yankee was certainly from tips on here I mind that. Its Just a couple of singles and a Yankee for me today but spending all my betting £s,id usually split the amount between football.
Good luck to you fella…couple of your picks do look okay to me. ?

If i go with my gut and analyse the market, betting mi utes or seconds before the off, I tend to do ok.
I will look properly when I get to a computer, but with a dead thread, and the fact there is 55 races today, I had a quick look through to try pick out a few favs that will go in and made sure I informed people they sre researched. As I said 55 races, gonnaget a fewfew short priced horses go in. Bol today boys.

Busy mate? I’ve been up at the crack of a sparrows fart and Alan n Johns tips were up about 11pm last night so had a decent look. As you say lot of races so I’m sticking to flats that I know n Alan and Johns. Like Red Balloons.

Yeah just woke up again, no pc means it is too hard to study, opening multiple tabs and cross referencing things etc, just gon a habe a quiet day betting £2s, usually bet everything I have, greed takes over and I lose it all and cannot stop chasing, when money is on a screen they are just numbers and I can bet 50s, hundreds, 300s, and not blink, so a quiet weekend wont hurt, had £50 on three practically even money shots and a 1/4 yday, obviously 1/4 loses, silly including it but means nothing left spare.

    • recoba 6 years ago

I hear ye…just hope you can afford it. I’ve finally learned to put my bets on and leave it win or not but still have moments on payday were I do a bit of chasing myself. Boys on here have been steering us well but along with a few of my own.
All e best for the day Database.

I will survive, and yeah they do, but no discipline doesnt work, no level stakes doesnt work, i enjoy the psychological aspect of racing but it is all about winning money for me uktimateky, and my rgo doesnt always let me admit defeat, will need to reallign how i approach the sport and see it as a cheap hobby, not a mood affecting life altering bad habit. Lucky i survive on porride then a tin of tomatoes 33p, cannelini beans 50p, rice £1 and a sweet potato 70p.. lol, bol bud. Pity party is over.

Follow some simple rules – have a betting bank and never spend money you can’t afford.
If you’re addicted and struggling seek advice on how to stop.

    • recoba 6 years ago

Yeah if sites taught me anything over the years its discipline and a decent attempt at level stakes less its a bet you really fancy.
If its not affecting your life database I suppose that’s main hi g but when yo do have a good day do you withdraw n spend it in something important or something for yourself.. I,e trainers or least a on better meal than you’ve stated above? Not that I’ve not had similar before. ;)

I dont have a problem in terms of having to gamble and it is not affecting anyone but myself in terms of quality of life, but no recoba i could smash half a weeks wages in minutes and never find the time to spend any on myself besides the odd nice meal, i even question spending money on tangeable items whilst spending 5 times more on a race. The stuff i could have lol! Just need a rethink at the ole strategu and find more fulfilling thingz to spend my time doing.

Enough of my woes though let us get back to it.
